  1. So who was this doctor in la that specializes in hair loss? I’m nearby and would like to know
  2. This patients donor looks to have a moderate amount of retrograde alopecia as seen in the pre op pics for surgery 1. How was this taken into consideration?
  3. Looks to be healing well please keep us updated. How long are you staying there? Any pics of the donor area including immediately post op?
  4. Melvin, how open are you with girls you have dated regarding your hair transplant? I’m weary of bringing it up especially early on in the relationship. What about treatments? I use a few things like minox and fin but the minox is really the harder one to keep a secret.
  5. I’ve seen some decent results come from dr reddy not sure where he is but he is uk based but pricey. Why not travel a bit there are lots of good surgeons in Europe like Brussels and Spain.
  6. Lots of clinics nearby in Europe and turkey. No reason to limit yourself just for a bit if travel
  7. How severe was your dermatitis? Any pics?
  8. Looking good. That front shot shows how well your face is framed now
  9. I think it’s a bit unfair that we are telling op to not vent. If he’s not unhappy, that’s the way it is and he has the right to be unhappy and express it. Even if it’s early on in the process he doesn’t seem just to be concerned with his recipient growth. From the sounds of it (correct me if I’m wrong) he’s more worried about the potential of his donor not being harvested homogenously leading to an uneven look. So he’s not sure if it’s shock loss or improper harvesting. I hope he gets his answers soon and if it’s shock loss then chances are it will eventually return.
  10. Interesting. If you had to guess do you lose more than the typical “100 per day?”
  11. @hairlossPA sorry to hear about your extended shed. I’ve been on hair loss forums long enough to know that shedding has been reported by some individuals on fin/minox and it could be a sign of weaker hairs shedding to make way for new stronger hairs or a case of synchronized shedding like you stated. I’m not an expert but my advice would be to stay the course if you notice there are no side effects. You stated you didn’t experience stress and could rule out telogen effluvium which is good. my question is how is your scalp health? Is it itchy/inflamed/flaky? I notice I have Lots of prolonged shedding when my scalp is unhealthy
  12. Not an expert on this by any means but this was my thinking going into a hair transplant: Even though I’m on meds there is a likely chance I’ll still continue to lose hair. This means I’ll likely need more procedures down the line. Ideally, if your younger, you want your hair relatively stable/slower or at least be able to know your final loss pattern so you can plan around it accordingly. Many ethical doctors won’t even perform surgery on younger patients not on meds unless the expectations of surgery are brought way down. Hair loss is pretty unpredictable and there are cases of some guys who seemingly go bald in a relatively short amount of time and that’s why doctors don’t want to take the risk. Again, I’m no expert and this is all my opinion
  13. Please learn some proper English before you post on this forum and badmouth other people’s results
  14. Sorry you had such a bad experience the first time around. I have a feeling you may be referring to huebner. From what I’ve read gabel is a great surgeon. I have no doubt you’ll be happy. Please keep us updated with your progress
