  1. Do you have a thread of your results? I’m curious to see what he can do on Caucasian patients as most of his results are on Indians.
  2. Your pics aren’t too clear. I can’t even tell if they r scabs. Who was ur doc? What did they say?
  3. HISTORY TIME! Original location was in Canada as you stated and that was run by dr Armani (RIP). His marketing team did a number on many of the forums and pulled in tons of patients. At one point they opened clinics in Beverly Hills (current location), Dubai, India, Argentina, etc. There was a lot of shady business going on by the company. Patients had to sign NDAs before surgery. If they posted bad results, Armani’s lawyers would contact them and threaten. Forums censored bad reviews and banned people posting bad things. Many of the forums were on Armani’s payroll. One unhappy patient finally reported Armani’s actions to the Canadian medical bureau and they did an investigation and took away his medical license permanently. This same patient researched dr Armani’s history and found out he wasn’t Italian (as indicated by his FAKE last name which he changed after coming to Canada from Pakistan which was his country of birth). After all of this, dr baubac was designated as the head of surgery for the company. (Baubac is actually a former patient of dr Armani). A few years ago I heard Armani got some form of cancer and passed away. Anyone is free to correct me but ive seen Armani’s name and results on various forums since 2005
  4. Lenney you seem like a great guy and I’m happy you’re very satisfied with your results. You look great at 6 months. Should thicken and grow some more. It brought a smile to my face when you mentioned you’re ready to start your public life over. I felt the same way and hope I can do the same soon. Thanks for sharing your story bro!
  5. I don’t understand this statement. They extracted 2030 grafts but implanted 2660? Did they split the multiple grafts?
  6. I notice this doctor does pretty aggressive temple points. Is this because most Indians have bigger than normal temple points?
  7. Almost 2700 grafts in that relatively small area? This is going to be insane. How many cm was your recipient? Do you know what density he implanted at?
  8. Melvin, what density was transplanted in your frontal third? in regards to your vid- your experience hit hard to home. The comments from friends, the denial stage, being told to shave it, actually shaving it and HATING it, etc. I think your results look great and it’s let you enjoy your late 20s and 30s.
  9. I have these images saved. They were from studies on pubmed. I believe there is an additional study titled: The effects of finasteride on scalp skin and serum androgen levels in men with androgenetic alopecia. all the info is there. Just search pubmed
  10. I’m not an expert but I had my surgery about 2-3 weeks before you. I think your hair looks great. Do you notice any weak spots cuz there really doesn’t seem to be any? Is there gel throughout the front of your hair cuz it still looks thick even with product?
  11. I think temple point work is probably one of the most difficult areas of hair transplants because it’s such a delicate area with harsh angles. The hairs have to be thinner caliber too which means there is a higher chance if damaging them. The angles of the hair are almost parallel to the skin so there is high chance of damaging nearby native hairs (I think)
  12. The design looks great. Are your temple points strong and don’t require reinforcing? I can’t tell from the pics.
  13. First off, you need to really follow up with your doctor on these questions and include pictures. They are most familiar with you scalp and hair. with that said, at about 10 days post op your grafts are secure to your scalp and would need to be surgically removed to dislodge them. You can wash your scalp normally and massage those areas where there is buildup. Keep the area clean. Do you have any pictures? I can’t say if it’s leftover crusting or a scalp condition that is flared up like seborrheic dermatitis. shedding from week 2-4 is very normal after a transplant. Personally I began shedding right around week 2 and by week 4-5 I had lost more than 95% of my hairs. Likely they are just the shafts that are shedding and the roots are safely under your skin resting and awaiting to start making new shafts in a few months.
  14. Looks good. Do you have front on pics like these from you pre op stage? whst treatments including shampoos are you on?
  15. Honestly I’d follow up with your clinic. Smoking is known to reduce blood flow. Not sure if it’s the nicotine or the byproducts of smoking so I’m not sure if vaping has the same consequences. Don’t worry about what you did in the past as there’s nothing you can do now but reach out to your clinic ASAP and express these exact concerns.
  16. Please stay away from artas and any doctor that is using it as a main tool for surgery. You need to research a lot more before going into hair transplantation. Cost should not be your only factor.
  17. ISHRS membership is a good start but to be honest I’ve seen several docs who have membership (in some cases they are even fellows within the organization) yet don’t have the best results. It’s not like ishrs membership is exclusive and they turn doctors away. There’s also the ABHRS where at least you need to pass a test to be certified (but again being able to pass a test does not mean the doctor has good surgical skills). Tbh this is a crap industry as bad if not worse than most of the medical cosmetic industry. As a consumer, you need to do A LOT of research to find a good doctor that meets your criteria. Meet the doctor in person, meet former patients, make sure they have a good portfolio of cases, make sure you agree with their donor management and design strategy. Research research research and do not jump into surgery too fast.
  18. Be advised.... this is just my experience but I used to order cheap rollers through eBay and upon close inspection I noticed many of the needles had bent tips. I recommend ordering a high quality roller or other device as recommended here. From my experience, you get what you pay for.
  19. To me prp is one of those treatments that is up in the air (I may be totally wrong on this). There’s so many factors that differ in the way it’s offered by these providers. There’s various centrifuge machines that are debated to be better than the other. Small details like that make me wonder how it is all controlled what I do know from listening to Spencer kobren is that dr Greco in Florida is the guy who pioneered prp for hair loss. He offers it himself and it’s a bit pricey. And of course you’d have to fly out to Florida to see him. Research dr Greco and go from there. Maybe his office can point you to a provider near you (just a thought). personally I’d try more mainstream treatments like finasteride (if tolerable) and minoxidil. Some people are seeing decent results from combining minoxidil with derma rolling as an Indian study was released a few years back showing benefit. also, prp is one of those treatments where you need to get it done every so often from what I understand.
  20. I’m glad you had a good experience and I’ve seen some good results from this clinic. With that said...Jacques is not a doctor. He is a PA (physicians assistant). He used to work at alvi Armani where he got his training. And that’s not to say he doesn’t have the skills required for a good hair transplant, just putting it out there so anyone else reading this will know. For some people it’s a big deal to interact with an MD/DO. Others it’s just a designation. I believe there is a “supervising” doctor in that clinic. Just wondering, did that doctor interact with you at all?
  21. Although these results look great these “review” posts seem so forced and fake from the obvious user joining the same day writing a 5 page long review with clinic supplied photos then disappearing never to be seen again nor answering any questions. I rather have dr dieps office post the results and also answer any questions the community may have.
  22. My sister bought it and when I looked at how thick and syrupy it was I had no idea how she applied it to her hair.
  23. @Curlinginthesquatrack why did you remove your latest update?
