  1. Sounds like you really did your research and know your stuff. Any pre op photos?
  2. Well what about this Doug? “In Europe the work of Dr Jose Lorenzo and Dr Koray Erdogan has come closest to the quality of work that we like to produce. With their assistance we have trained already experienced technicians in their manual extraction techniques.” https://hassonandwong.com/our-journey-to-fue/ Erdogan is mentioned and specifically his manual FUE. Devroye doesn’t utilize manual FUE as he’s the creator of the waw system. It specifically states hnw techs trained with these doctors.
  3. How short did you go on the sides where the scars are showing a little? I’m trying to figure out how short I can go as well. Did your alopecia areata clear up?
  4. Given your pattern and your age it’s highly advisable to use treatments that can stop/slow your hair loss. Otherwise it will be a continuous game of catch up with you chasing loss with more surgery until your donor is exhausted. Please research more before making a decision
  5. Ehhh it’s cosmetic surgery. I don’t think there’s much in terms of recourse even if you get a procedure done here. How many crazies are still pulling in patients (huebner, Bolton, etc) using ht tech from over 20 years ago and are still doing well business wise.
  6. A lot of those doctors are still recommended on this forum. Many of those doctors don’t post results much here. Some of them dropped off because they probably didn’t think the price was worth it for them to be recommended on this site. my personal opinion is...a lot of these doctors talked about here nowadays have dedicated marketing teams and patient coordinators that scour these boards and answer questions as well as post results which gets noticed. Obviously the price is another consideration. I think that’s a big driver in terms of why bisanga and cole opened up their clinic in Greece- less cost and more access to the European/middle eastern pool of patients. Lastly, in terms of results, many of the doctors outside of North America are closing the gap.
  7. Uhhhh this post directly from the H&M’s website says otherwise... https://hassonandwong.com/setting-new-standards-fue/ “I would like to thank personally our friends Dr. Jose Lorenzo and Dr. Korai Erdogan, for their very kind assistance and opening their doors for us -so we could learn their techniques.”
  8. I get it...words won’t alter results. But publicly addressing issues and even offering touch ups I FEEL can help put out some of the fire. Thing is, asmed has a dedicated marketing team and a number of patient coordinators yet none of them post here. Other clinics like hnw have several patient reps that live here and other forums and continuously address issues and check up on progress. Just thinking out loud
  9. I think the clinic is doing a good deed by giving you their honest opinion. Would u rather have them take your money and just do surgery and not care about the risks? from my understanding diffuse hair loss can be an issue at times. I think it would be important to get on treatment like finasteride and Minoxidil that can hopefully stabilize your loss and thicken some of your hair. You still have plenty of hair and these treatments can potentially help you get to a cosmetic improvement as well as possibly making you a better candidate as time goes by.
  10. Brb purchasing microscope so I can see your pic
  11. Thanks but I mean what did he calculate your donor capacity at?
  12. I think you hit the nail on the head with your analysis. There was a show where he talked about treatments. He even mentioned some big names from back in the day (dr Lee from minoxidil.com) so he did go down that route. I think he stopped his treatments and lost a lot of his natives and just shaved it.
  13. This is a tough one as this forum continuously preaches “free speech.” However, people like that one guy HT0146 or whatever is username was needs to be permanently banned. He has created over 6 accounts and obviously is here to just stir the pot and not add constructively. i have a feeling a lot of these issues are stemming from erdogan results. We need to look at both sides of the coin here. The unhappy patients and erdogan himself. The doctors we approve here need to engage the community directly. We should be asking them to as long as they get our approval. If erdogan cannot publicly respond to a lot of these patient inquiries here then one of his two assistant doctors should on his behalf. Just doing so I feel can calm the storm a bit. It should be a privilege for doctors to be approved here and they need to follow OUR rules here not the other way around. good discussion overall
  14. Why are you undoing your transplant? Are you not satisfied? Do you have a thread with your story?
  15. I’m no expert on this by any means but don’t you think if he cared that much to have them FUEd out, he would implant some into his strip scar? I can still see some faint shadow on the top of his head when shaved. Also remember, as you get older and your hair goes white, it doesn’t show on the skin especially when shaved
  16. I wouldn’t want anything to do with the artas system. It’s an absolute pos from what I’ve read and results I’ve seen. Most of the reputable doctors that purchased it, have it now sitting in the office collecting dust. its a great idea but the technology has a long way to go before it starts producing good results.
  17. Hi uncle drew. Good luck. Who is your doctor? Any pre op photos to share?
  18. How many grafts total did he tell you that you have?
  19. What does your hair look like regularly? Not parted in the weak area
  20. No idea, I don’t think he’s never publicly talked about that part of his transplant. I just assumed he continued to shave with a razor. He did say he dropped the meds he was using and lost a lot of hair (I’m assuming native) so all he might have is transplants up there.
