  1. I wasn't going to share my experience but I felt that after everything I got from this forum and the fantastic experience with Dr. Nader, I had to to share this and give back to the community that helped me through this. I started losing hair in my 20's and then it stopped (or that's what I thought). I truly believe since then I lost my hair slowly and progressively until now. I'm 36 years old now. My hairline was never horrible and I didn't have peaks that really bothered me but I started noticing a lot of hair loss when looking at my pictures and seeing a much wider forehead each time. I had issues with hair loss in the crown area that I would easily cover up but then recently I also saw less volume on the front side of my hair. For the last two years Toppik, hair spray and Loreal Root Cover where my best friends but it got old too fast. I live in SoCal where generally is hot. I realized that I would get horrible migraines every time I used the root cover spray if I didn't shampoo my hair within a couple hours. I did some research and I realized of the horrible chemicals used on this spray and I started wearing a cap and just using the spray for important events or occasions. It was too much work and I was stressed out all the time thinking that somebody would touch my hair and their hands would be black all the sudden. I got used to wearing a cap all the time and my selfies did as well but every time I got home and took the hat off, I would feel like I didn't recognize or like the person that I saw on the mirror. I started looking at other people experiences and came to this forum. I travel a lot and I really considered Thailand on my last trip but I thought it was too far of a flight to come home for recovery right away so I kept looking and that's when I came across with one particular review about Dr. Nader in Reynosa, Mexico. I kept looking for stories and experiences and within weeks I made my decision. I read that it was really hard to get in touch with him so I was ready for an email battle. I sent the same email in Spanish and English with same Subject. I would send it at 8am every day. Same email. Same time. Seven Days. I then received an email from Brenda (medical assistant) and we got the conversation going. I first sent them some pics and Dr. Nader suggested me to go to my doctor to make sure that I had not alopecia or other illness that would make me ineligible for a hair restoration. I did so and results came all good. I got back in touch with them with new pics with better lighting and I asked then that I had to get this done before the end of the summer. Then Brenda replied with the only availability at the moment on July 5th and you know I TOOK IT! Once you have a date, Brenda is a lot more responsive and she always copied Dr. Nader in all emails. He knows everything that is going with you and he communicates with Brenda about you after reading each email. Dr. Nader only accepts one patience per day and he is with that patience from around 7:30am to 6:30pm so he has little time to reply to all emails himself. I booked my flight to Texas and Dr. Nader said he would book my hotel right by the McAllen Airport. I received the confirmation about a week earlier from my trip for two nights at the iStay Smart. Great location and hotel with great breakfast and a mall right across the street. Got in at 6pm on July 4th. Staff were wonderful and most of them already know about Dr. Nader because I believe we all use the same hotel and we all check-in with a cap and check-out with some more hair. His driver, Mr. Santos was supposed to pick me up at 7:45am but he was already in the breakfast area at 7:25am. Great guy and great conversation. If I was stressed about something, it wasn't about the surgery but about the drive to Reynosa. I travelled right after elections and things were a little more crazy than normal. I kept looking at the local news and I followed the hashtag #ReynosaFollow on Twitter that it helped me a lot but also freaked me out in several occasions. The drive was what I was more nervous about, even though I've visited several countries in the Middle East. We drove about 25 minutes to the office, crossing the border very easily into Mexico. The city of Reynosa seems old, disorganized... It reminded me to and old town in Thailand. Most important, I never felt in danger, as Mr Santos drove carefully and put me at ease. He walks you to the office which is in a gated building. If there is something that I was sure after talking to Dr. Nader for 15 minutes, that was that I had made the right decision. Let me get one thing straight about Dr. Nader , he is the absolutely most professional person I've met in a long time. Everything about him was amazing We talked about genes, hair loss in my family, supplements and medicines, the need to alternate shampoos weekly.... He answered every question I had and walked me through the entire process. He checked my hair and said that My hair was strong and I had short hair growing around my crown and he believed that I could just get hair by taking the right supplants and stimulating my hair the right way. He even hand wrote a list for me. After telling him about my expectations he said that I would have to focus on the front face and hairline and leave the crown for later as he truly believed it was just easy to get my hair around It naturally. He sad he didn't want to do more grafts than the ones that I would need. I have so much respect for him and you can tell from the get go that he loves his job. He said he loves focusing on one head at the time and he only leaves you alone for much. He is with you the rest of the time. After the initial conversation we started the procedure by changing clothes and getting my head shaved. I got a shot for inflammation. Right after I laid down and they started the collection from the donor area. I didn't;t feel a thing and I even took a little nap. When he was finished he gave me his glasses to look at my hairs and he said he was surprised because I had a lot of follicles with several hairs (up to 4). Then we stopped for lunch. After lunch we went to the implantation and this part was even more relaxing. When making the incision there is a sound, and it was the most relaxing part. You have a remote to browse through Netflix and watch whatever you want but I was more relaxed than anything else. After the procedure we went into his office, he gave me the post-instructions on how to care for my scalp and gave me the actual medications (antibiotics, pain and inflammation). HE told me that my extractions were high quality and gave me a report for the total amount of hairs. He actually got 2555 but only charged me for 2500. 225 grafts had 1 hair. 1246 grafts had 2 hairs. 998 grafts had 3 hairs and 86 of them had 4 hairs so I'm hoping to see all that grow very soon. He even gave me his cell phone number to send him daily updates which I have been doing and he's been extremely responsive. Santos wasn't available to is nephew took me back to McAllen. We went through another bridge to avoid lines but this area made me feel very uncomfortable so I would highly recommend you to request to come back via the international bridge that you came from even if that means having to wait a few more minutes in line. I took the bandages off on day two. First night was hard to sleep due to the position. CAUTION! I did use an aloe vera gel on day 2 on my donor area and I cried for an hour on how bad it hurt so I didn't even think of putting it anywhere else. It got red, painful and ugly. Today (day 3) I bought the actual aloe vera plant and extracted the inside and that didn't hurt at all. I'm extremely grateful. I will be sharing a few pics as I have time to upload them. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will be happy to answer.
  2. Has Anyone Else Had Success With Hemp CBD Oil? Just my quick backstory: After initially employing CBD Oil as part of a night time, anti-aging facial routine, I noticed what appeared to be new hairs sprouting from the top of my head, near to where I had been applying the serum. At the same time surprised and excited, I decided to see what would happen if I applied CBD Oil daily to my scalp, would I indeed see my Thinning Hair come in thicker and fuller, could CBD Oil potentially be used to Stop Hair Loss and potentially even help assist to Regrow Hair? These are all questions I am currently still trying to answer, in the meantime I have decided to track the results by taking daily video shots of my hair to track its health, thickness, progression and regrowth. And from what I can tell my hair does seem to be coming in thicker and fuller including in the crown area and on top of my head, where thinning was already far advanced and balding very apparent. Let me know what you think of my results so far after about 5 Months of applying Hemp CBD Oil to my scalp once in the evening before bed:
  3. Hello I am facing hair loss problems from past 7 months and it has increased in hair thinning at the crown and in front. I am very disappointed with this problem. I consulted with the Hair Experts but the medicines they prescribed me are very expensive which I can't afford. 1 ) Saw Palmetto Shampoo & Cleanser 2 ) Saw Palmetto 5mg Please I need urgent help... Thanks in Advance Brian
  4. Hello I was wondering if what I’m experiencing is hair loss or just a mature hairline and if if is should I start taking actions now to help fight it? I’ve added very recent photos of my hairline along with the best ones from 2015 and 2016 after that it’s pretty hard to get a good look at my hairline. The only person in my family to ever experience hair loss was my mother’s father which I know is a biggie so for about a year now I’ve been starting to pay attention. I’m 24 now and I’ve also added the very first photos I took when starting this. They’re all on order of year so the last ones are most recent. Thank you to anyone who took the time to answer.
  5. Hello I am Michael from Leeds, age 32 and I had a FUE hair transplant with Dr Arshad at the Hair Dr Clinic in Dewsbury back in Feburary 2018. I have had amazing results, compliments and feel great! So I decided to have a go at doing a forum of my story to show, advise and answer any questions for other people out there who have just had the proceedure done or considering it. I have a Instagram page of my Hair transplant story which I blog about it, If interested in that search "mikes_fue_story. So I will start my story with a before and current 9 months on photo and a brief account of why I had the proceedure done, and kinda a little introduction. Then I will go back to the beggings and give a detailed account of my story. I hope you enjoy reading and that it helps you with your own hairloss worries or conserns post proceedure. I am no professional and will advise you best to my knowledge and from my experience. Ok.. so my profile picture already shows you I have a great hairline again and great density which is why i am starting this way. I used to have long hair in my early to mid 20's and around age 26 I cut it short and noticed along with family and friends say " receeding a bit there Michael" and I thought it just becaused I had gone from long hair to cutting it short so didnt think of it as a issue. gettin closer to 30 I knew i was thinning and receeding at the temples and often looked into ways to resolve this. Me been weird and into these things I always knew about hair transplants when i wasnt receeding. I never liked the FUT method and the having a liniar scar. So I already knew about the FUE hair transplant method and was intrigued and would watch videos of the proceedure ect. Last years (2017) Christmas dinner with familyconversation started about my hairline and that " I was the last in the family people would think would loose his hair" And just as I thought they made comments like I still had a lot of hair still on top and its just receeding. I then told them I had actually been thinking of going to see a couple of surgeons for their opinion and quotes, Having a idea of price and amount Id need. Family agreed and said "why not" so in new year I filled in online on 2 websites and awaited thier responses. Only the Hair Dr Clinic responded and so I sent in photos, to which they replied to a day later and gave me a rough quote and set up a face to face consultation with Dr Arshad. When I arrived and was met with a warm welcoming and friendly Sommiya who is the Practice manager and she took me to the office where I was met with Dr Arshad. I will pause the story there like I say I will go back to the beginning and give a more detailed account and photos of that stage. If you can not wait then again look up my Instagram mikes_fue_story and see pictures there and feel free to message me there. The picture I have uploaded with this post shows you my hair before FUE proceedure with the receeding hairline and temples compared to now 9 months + on... Think you would agree there is a MASSIVE difference!! Briefly.. as I will go into more detail in future posts, I was unhappy I was loosing my hair so young... we all do/are. I did not feel I was down and depressed about it but I know I missed it, worried what I would look like bald, felt I still had too much hair to be shaving it down every other day and I know I did not like looking at pictures as been fair haired and lighting I look more bald than what I saw in the mirror. But as soon as the proceedure was finished and I was led back to Dr Arshad's affice to do the big reveal... I saw a new man in the mirror! I aint the most confident of people but I immediately felt more confident and so much happier as I could see a new full hairline on my head! Hope this has been a nice introduction to my experience and story and I will add more detailed posts and photos soon. I am just happy to talk about it and help advise anyone going through hair loss and considering the proceedure. Without sounding cheesy and big headed but this before and after photo speaks for itself and shows you my amazing results so far and the fantastic work of Dr Arshad and the Hair Dr team. Thank you Michael
  6. Dear all, Its always a hot topic, Finasteride use and whether pre and post op hair transplant patients should take it. In the following video Dr Bhatti uses his expertise to explain away the phobias associated with Finasteride use and explains in detail the relationship with Testosterone levels. Again, a must see for so many of you out there.
  7. I'm 23, my father still has a full head of hair and he's in his 60's however his brother, my uncle, is bald. My mothers side shows no sign of balding that I'm aware of. And, I'm unsure about my grandparents. Any help would be much appreciated. I apologise if I'm just overreacting.

  9. Hi, My name is Akash, I am from India, I had a HT surgery (9weeks back). I just wanted your honest, clear cut opinion about a query I have and it would be very kind if you can spare a few minutes to respond to my query. During my surgery (9 weeks back) I was told by the doctor that I have a very hard skin and there is a popping effect (when they were trying to insert one graft the surrounding grafts were coming out), and after 9 weeks now I can see that most of my grafts (specially in the temporal area) have neither grown nor shed. I am very worried as I read that shedding normally occurs after 1-5 weeks of the transplant, and also heard from a youtuber that if transplanted hair doesn't grow or shed within 3-4 months then they are as good as dead and new hair won't come out from them. Please can you confirm this?, if it is true then my transplant most probably has failed. And, is there any way to soften scalp skin, in case I go for a 2nd transplant in the future. Regards, Akash

  11. I'm not sure if any of you guys heard about the chemical that is found in french fries helping scientist reproduce hair follicle cells. What do you guys think supersize the fries or no thanks? I'd love to hear the communities thought on this. McDonald's French Fries May Be The Cure To Hair Loss
  12. What is the craziest things you guys have heard, I recently overheard someone at my gym talking about hair loss and how exercise could improve blood circulation and stop hair loss. I was tempted to interject and explain why that's not really possible, but I figured hey if that motivates someone to get fit and healthy who am I to say anything haha. I'd love to hear some stories, so guys feel free to share. Stop Hair Loss With Exercise Fact or Fiction?
  13. I used Provillus product before; and after about 9 weeks I starded seeing results. This product continued working great for me but I discontinued the product ater I achieved the results desired. Now my hair started to thin again so I know this time I will not be discontinuing use of Provillus Hair Loss. This product works great for me because I am in the military and don't always have time to get in front of a mirror and spray stuff on my head. I guess the only thing I would request now is to please get my order to me ASAP. Also, last but not least, thanks for a convenient product with no side effects:)
  14. Have any of you guys tried Saw Palmetto? I would love to hear the communities thoughts and input. Can Saw Palmetto Stop Hair Loss
  15. Have you guys heard about this new study that has allegedly linked hair loss with air pollution? I mean i've even heard that some guys have quit their jobs because of this study. What do you guys think I'd love to hear the communities thoughts? New Study Links Air Pollution to Hair Loss Is It True?
  16. Just a background: I am 26 year old male. Nobody from my father or mother side are bald. My father though has recession towards the temples but it remained there and didn't recede further till his passing away. My grandfathers from both side turned bald with age naturally like after turning 60. I have checked by crown and there is no bald patch. Also, overall on the head there doesn't appear to be any thinning. A week ago (10 days to be precise) the barber gave me a really bad haircut - i told him to cut small, and well, he cut my hairs too small. And now my temples are visible and I am now afraid (read: paranoid) that I am going bald. How much hair I loose everyday: When I shampoo, which is everyday, I loose about 5-10 strands every time. But after wards, throughout the day, I barely see hair strands here and there. Currently, its winter where I am from and so I have got a bit of dandruff, so by the end of the day when I return from office, I start seeing random 2-3 strands of hair here and there. But I am pretty sure, I never loose hair in large chunks/clumps anytime. However, the day when I don't bathe, like during weekends I completely skip the bathing on both days, and then when I shampoo on Monday, I get like 14-15 hair strands. This completely freaks me out. Also, on the weekends, if I don't bathe, random strands are more prominently visible here and there (like 2-3 on pillow, 4-5 on the bed throughout the day and so on). This has been freaking me out like hell. Am I loosing too much hair, or this is normal number of hair fall? Please find attached the photos. 3 photos are from present day. 1 photo (old.jpg) is from before the hair cut. Last photo is the old one. Given these photos and information above, here are my two questions: 1. Do I have a Maturing Hairline or Male Pattern Baldness? 2. Is the amount of hair I am loosing normal? 3. If you notice carefully in 1st or 2nd pic, there seems to be large gap between hair strands. Is this normal? Or is this visible right now because my hair is short? Thank you guys in advance!
  17. Wow! What do you all make of this? Exciting or just a waste of time? https://www.hairlosslearningcenter.org/topic/allergan-enter-agreement-with-exicure-to-find-hair-loss-cure/3411
  18. Have you guys heard about this new study which examined over 13K men over a 5 year period. They found that men who work longer hours are generally balder. What do you guys think is this just a correlation or causation? I'd love to hear your thoughts? New Study Shows Long Office Hours May Cause Hair Loss
  19. This Doctor by profession was a 42 year old man when he got his procedure done with us. He got 3100 grafts from the scalp donor and 685 grafts from his beard donor. The total number of grafts done for him were 3785. We covered his frontal zone with these grafts and he was prescribed Finasteride, Minoxidil and hair specific multivitamins for his pre-existing hair. He went in for the Exclusive package where Dr. Pradeep Sethi performed his procedure. The results displayed in the pictures below are after 5 months. He has achieved incredible results.
  20. #BeforeAndAfterMondays This patient underwent a follicular unit extraction (FUE) session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley in which a total of 2429 grafts were placed His hair follicles were incubated in autologous (his own) platelet rich plasma (PRP) throughout the duration of the procedure. This, combined with an ATP-containing storage solution has been shown to enhance survival of transplanted hairs. Rather than a larger FUE punch used by a robotic approach, Dr. Wesley used a smaller caliber hand-held motorized punch to performed the donor harvest. This approach better enabled the capture of donor hair roots that are slightly curved beneath the skin surface. Upon completion of the harvest, the patient’s donor area was treated with PRP and ACell in order to not only minimize scar tissue formation, but also encourage partial regeneration of donor hair follicles. The patient returned 2 years (please excuse the typo on one of the slides) after his procedure and images of the patient can be seen below. This link illustrates the timing of hair growth after surgery. Similar patient hair transformations with Dr. Wesley and his team may also be viewed.
