  1. If they’re not getting back to you through email then you need to try and escalate. Phone call would be a good next step or contact others within the clinic such as the head nurse, patient coordinator, etc. otherwise go ahead and reveal the clinic/doc and maybe the mods here ca help you get a response if it’s once of the doctors affiliated with this site.
  2. I think the fact that big chains like bosley are offering fue now and biotech companies such as neograft and artas are in existence should show that fue is obviously the more sought after treatment for hair restoration.
  3. Couldn’t agree more. Avoid google and self diagnosing. It will drive you nuts!
  4. When you thought the hair transplant industry couldn’t get any worse....then China busts a move. Students would have to practice on each other if there wasn’t a volunteer? WTF
  5. I think this is actually a good post. From what I’ve read estrogen actually has positive effects on the hair. On various forums I’ve seen members on hardcore regimens that are supplementing with estrogen derivatives and oral Minox and get hair transplant level results. Unfortunately, for most of us that want to try and avoid side effects, decreasing our male androgens and increasing female hormones is not acceptable.
  6. I’ve never been but from what I’ve read it’s probably as safe as going to Mexico. Just be respectful of the customs and religion and don’t do anything out of the ordinary like go around drunk in public and you should be fine. Do a bit of background reading beforehand and learn a few useful phrases and words and to learn about the customs.
  7. Did you discuss with Wong why the yield may have been compromised during the last two procedures? I think that’s a very important topic. With that said I admire your dedication to sort this out as surgery is time, energy, and $ consuming. I hope you gain your happiness soon
  8. You’re correct in that the half life is relatively short. BUT there are a few things to consider: 1. Studies show low doses of even .2mg of a thereapeautic effect in lowering 5 alpha reductase, so after 3 half lives there should be relatively .25mg still in the average patients system 2. Additional studies show the body makes 5 alpha reductase pretty slowly. After a single dose of 5mg finasteride it took about a week to reach pre fin dht levels. half life of the drug is only one part of the equation
  9. You really need to work on making more insightful titles for your threads...
  10. Are you going with the same clinic? They said you have 7000 grafts left correct?
  11. I suggest you speak with some reputable and honest surgeons that can help you plan carefully. There’s a bit of danger getting a transplant at a young age with continuing loss as your final pattern is still not apparent. You will likely need to adjust your expectations with continuing hair loss (mature hairline, focusing on frontal 1/3, etc). Please research carefully. Wish you the best of luck
  12. So he accepts 4 patients max where he creates incisions and up to another 6 where the techs do the incisions or the DHI team performs the whole surgery?
  13. Are you a rep for cinik? You only post on threads which mention his name.
  14. Big improvement. Did cinik tell you how much more growth you can expect at 10 months?
  15. You need to try and stabilize your loss before you consider a hair transplant. It looks like you have diffuse loss over the Norwood 6 area. Are you following the pattern of any close relatives such as your dad uncles or grandfathers? Are there any Norwood 7s in your family?
  16. Thank you for sharing. I think this is going to look great. Did dr feriduni say whether or not the frontal hairs that were removed may show any scarring?
  17. Looks like a home run. Do the transplanted areas look as thick as the native when wet?
  18. Hello, do you mean the recipient? Or is it important to keep the donor out of the sun too?
  19. At 6 weeks it’s probably fine but I would ask your surgeon. Like the previous posted said aloe seems to be recommended for skin healing. Personally I don’t use oils because I have an oily scalp already and don’t want clogged pores. Your scalp may be different
  20. The implanted hair looks to have different texture and more waviness compared to the native hair. Will this remain like that? how old is the patient?
  21. Hi Doug do either of the doctors take part in any of these consults? Or are they only available for in office consults in Vancouver?
  22. So is the body hair implanted directly into the fue scars? Don’t grafts have a low yield into scar tissue?
