  1. you're starting to see the beginning of what your end result will be once all your grafts come in and you have some maturation & density - already an improvement over your pre-op status, you are in for a really nice natural looking result, congrats and continued success in your growth
  2. he started out with diffuse thinning all over his scalp to a great, conservative hairline with excellent density, amazing job Dr. Diep! your work is always top knotch, congrats, your patient must be extremely happy.. is this an FUE or FUT case?
  3. same exact thing happened to me at airport in Ottawa after having surgery with Dr. Rahal, I was wearing a surgical cap provided by his clinic, and the customs agent immediately asked if I had just come from the special doctor who does hair transplants in Ottawa, I guess when you're one of the top knotch doctors in your field and you have patients visiting you literally from all over the world, its a common occurrence...
  4. keeping the newly transplanted grafts moist and also keeping yourself well hydrated after a procedure aids in the survival of the grafts and the overall healing process - so yes, a saline spray is recommended the first week or so after surgery .. I believe most reputable docs and clinics consider this a best practice
  5. N0Air, congrats on your procedure, the work looks absolutely prestine, and based on your donor area and hair characteristics, you should should have an excellent result - question - is H&W using the ARTAS robot for the FUE extractions? For 2,500 grafts, a 14 hour surgery sounds grueling. Most docs or clinics doing manual extractions with FUE do a 2.5k graft surgery in about half that time.... just curious
  6. its already a noticeable improvement from your starting point and its still early in the growth phase, you should have several more months of growth and density to look forward to, best of luck -
  7. coming in nicely for only 5 months, I think you have much more growth ahead of you given you had over 3k grafts, also you have very straight fine hair, would have looked "denser" if you had better hair characteristics, but I think its coming in very natural and you have much more growth ahead, best of luck! this is the payoff time ... you'll keep smiling everytime you look in the mirror!
  8. wow !! can be just as bad and noticeably disfiguring as a bad HT ...
  9. it all depends on what your definition of "unsatsifactory" is - were these patients unsatisfied because they had unrealistic objectives? were they unsatisfied because they wanted or thought they were going to get a denser packed grafts? or were they generally unsatisfied with their whole HT experience from their doctor/clinic because they were uninformed throughout the whole process??? there are literally hundreds of reasons people could be unsatified with their HT - just read the experiences of many of this forum - most good, some bad. It seems that you will likely be unsatisfied if you go into a HT procedure (surgery) in an "uninformed" manner. If you do your homework and dont rush into anything without knowing exactly what you're getting into - there should be no surprises. Particularly with the recommended doctors on this site, their reputation is such that they are ethical and of the highest caliber specializing in hair transplanation. How many grafts will your particular case require? What method will be best suited for you? FUT or FUE? What Norwood pattern are you? Has your hair loss stabilized? Should you be on medication prior to surgery, etc etc etc. Research research research - then consult consult and do more consulting until you feel comfortable pulling the trigger. When you're comfortable and know exactly what you're getting into and what likely type of result you should get, there is a HIGH probability you will not be disappointed -
  10. never, ever, ever, limit yourself to a HT doctor who is in your immediate area - jump on a plane and go the "appropriate" doctor for your case.
  11. while I'm still happy with my HT, makes me wish I had gone to Dr. Konior! you only hear and see some great success stories about his work and patient care - outstanding!
  12. with all due respect, you're entitled to your opinion but you're not entitled to your own set of facts, saying any surgery is an "easy" case is ridiculous from the start - ask members who have had "failed" surgeries from recommended docs due to low growth yield, improper technique, etc. the top knotch docs make it look "easy", this gentleman had NO hairline, his entire frontal zone was completely restored in this procedure, the hairline was completely rebuilt (artistically and naturally I would add) and appropriate density was added behind it - if you see a natural NW1 hairline on this fellow, you should get your eyeglass prescription checked the fact that he has good hair characteristics is just a bonus for the patient's end result which happened to come out spectacular -
  13. so you can have great qualities such as hair characteristics etc + bad or inferior work and in your mind you can end up with this type of result?
  14. excellent result and really good job on the video sharing your experience with others in the same boat - I stressed about my hair loss for way too long as well and my HT was probably the best thing I have done for myself in a very long time - it brought back some confidence but most of all some inner peace! thanks for sharing again
  15. Bosley will be your 2nd mistake - again you need to do in depth research of reputable doctors - not mills - with consistent good results - you will have to travel and not be limited to your state or region - maybe NY, maybe Canada. Don't make another mistake - you're not only wasting your money but you're wasting your donor zone which cannot be replaced
  16. there have been others on this site that have reported horror stories with their experience at that clinic? do your research this time and find an experienced, reputable doctor to do your repair, because I'm afraid that's what it looks like you will need, good luck to you
  17. Dutichie, I think you're looking fantastic for only 3.5 months - you can already see the start of a great result that will come in over the next several months - you will be grinning ear to ear everytime you look in the mirror ! congrats and enjoy
  18. in my opinion, only because of your age and the fact that you will continue to lose hair both in the crown and up front, I would wait until your early to mid 30's to see how your hair loss pattern develops. While you feel you want to address your crown first now because its the most noticeable, that may be the wrong strategy for your future hair loss. You will want to a good donor supply for your the most important part of any hair restoration procedure, and that's your hairline, frontal zone and mid-scalp in order to frame your face. Who knows how your hair loss will advance in the future, and you would have addressed the crown first, which is usually the last thing one addresses, if addressed at all, particularly if you develop to a NW6 as I did. Just providing you with my opinion as something to think about before jumping into a HT..
  19. You mean besides the dehydrated effect alcohol has on the body and would therefore adversely affect the newly implanted grafts which require that you are in an optimal state and that you stay hydrated?? Alcohol raises your blood pressure, effects your nervous system etc etc The same reasons you would be required to cease drinking before any surgical procedure -
  20. I drank a few days after my procedure too - results came out fine!! in fact, I see a big disparity on avoiding alcohol consumption pre and post op between clinics - some clinics say no alcohol for 3 weeks before your procedure! and I've seen some others that say limit consumption just 2-3 days before a procedure!!! Its all out of precaution .. and you just have to use common sense in my opinion
  21. any reputable doctor doing FUE only extracts grafts from the "safe zone" which is the same sweet spot an FUT strip may be taken from - its FUE docs that go outside the safe zone to extract grafts that are susceptible to DHT and possibly miniaturizing and falling out later ... in fact I've seen some H&W strips on mega-sessions go way past the ears near the temples - which to me is an area that should not be harvested
  22. Also consider supplements such as Saw Palmetto, Glucosamine & Chondrotin w/MSM, Biotin, Folic Acid, can help...
  23. can I ask if Dr. Hasson intends to do a 4k graft FUE procedure using the ARTAS system? or has the clinic gone to a manual extraction procedure? In my opinion, I would never consider doing FUE with ARTAS - there are many good docs out there, including Rahal, who get the similar yield results from their FUT or FUE procedures - I"ve even seen excellent FUE results from Shapiro and Konior - whether you want to wear your hair long or short, there are other benefits to FUE, including the less invasive nature of the procedure, quicker healing, etc. Whatever you choose is totally up to you, but seems like you should be looking at more options...
