  1. congrats, hairline design suits your face and looks very natural, grafts look tightly packed as well, should be a beautiful result when it blossoms! best of luck healing and growing..
  2. if you want to learn from my bad mistake, don't get a HT in your early 20's, which is what I did. Not only was this in the early 90's, so the grafts were pluggy, I knew nothing about hair loss and my eventual progressive pattern of baldness or how to at least try to stabilize with meds, rogaine, good diet, good supplements, shampoos, etc. There are alot of other things to consider before jumping into a HT at your age. Others have mentioned that your hairline design is way too aggressive .. think about loosing more hair down the road and how you will look in your 40's, 50's or 60's with that un-natural hairline?? I say continue to research, look into meds and stabilizing your hair loss before even considering a HT. There is alot more credible information available to you today and of course the surgeries have come very far in terms of mega-sessions and the natural appearance, but it should be a last resort, not the first.
  3. congrats on your progress, looks absolutely amazing, but I would expect nothing less from Dr. Rahal... I would go no where else....
  4. after seeing a picture of me, this girl once said, you could benefit from looking into hair transplants, given I've already had one that is totally age appropriate for me, I actually took that as a compliment!! since she had no idea without my HT I would have been totally bald...
  5. Actually, the doctor went beyond the area that was completely bald because of miniaturization. He expanded beyond the current bald pattern so you hopefully won't have problems if you continue to lose native hairs. That's the sign of a good doc! Looks great, congrats
  6. In my opinion you're more of a hairline repair case. Your instinct to lower it is completely wrong though.. IMO it would look worse not better than it does now. You need to get with an excellent surgeon to "soften" the harshness or what others have called "plugginess" of the hairline. Give it a more natural and softer appearance so that your eyes are not drawn to it but to your eyes and face. This is just as much artistry as it is medical skill. Get some consultations with some of the top docs you've already heard of here .. Rahal (The Hairline King), Konior, Shapiro, etc. etc. Get a few opinions as to how to tackle your case, ie. feathering your hairline with FUE extractions, adding some single hair grafts up front, etc?? I'm not an expert, just my opinion, but definitely don't lower your hairline, I think it would be a bit mistake. Good news - easy fix. Best of luck.
  7. that is one "sick" result at only 5 months, its on track to looking absolutely stunning at full maturity, congrats! Anyone considering FUE now has to include H&W on their short list.
  8. Dr. Rahal gave you a very nice, natural looking hairline. Significant improvement from where you were. Very similar MPB pattern here as you, also went with Rahal, 2 FUE sessions over 2 years, approx. 3500 total grafts, changed my life!
  9. Dr. Rahal is a top knotch surgeon because he is realistic - he will not go overboard or be overly aggressive on a high NW case like yours or mine was. You have an excellent result which is completely natural and aesthetically pleasing - also a significant improvement from where you started. Enjoy your result as I do mine everyday I look in the mirror and appreciate the improvement to my life that Dr. Rahal and his team did for me. It's definitely not just about the hair, its the ability to wear your hair more naturally and a big boost to your confidence level. Congrats... and if you decide on another pass ( as I did a year after my 1st procedure with Dr. Rahal) - I'm sure you'll improve upon what you already have.
  10. nice result, although in my opinion, I would not have opted to touch the crown and used those grafts for better density up front & midscalp, the crown is a black hole for grafts, but you seemed to have gotten some nice coverage ... congrats
  11. Big respect for Dr. Diep ... this video case really impresses me!
  12. to make any cosmetic difference you'll need 3,500 to 4k grafts to your frontal zone alone - that would be without addressing your crown - which would require another pass a year later..
  13. that's what Dr. Rahal does, exceed patients' expectations, he did it for me too! congrats and continued success in your growth...
  14. Thanks Dr. Vories for the detailed explanation. I'm definitely going to have to look you up when I'm ready to address my crown area!
  15. Dr. Vories - what method or tools do you use in your FUE procedure? Your pricing is extremely competitive!!
  16. your story doesn't surprise me.. they're just making sure as you mentioned that you won't have any type of medical emergency up in the air, believe me I've witnessed it first hand. I was on a flight with a gentleman who had an oxygen tank which ran out of oxygen mid-flight, the plane had to make an emergency landing in Florida, all the while the flight attendants were well aware of his medical situation and allowed him to get on the flight. After we landed and the gentleman was taken off our flight to be looked after by EMS crew, passengers started becoming furious at the flight crew since people were going to miss their connections, etc. We were delayed for take off and I ended up home 12 hours later than I should have originally. So while you describe an annoying experience, I think she was doing her job and doing it right. I too traveled to Canada and kept my doctor's letter on me at all times!
  17. insane result is right! higher Norwood patients always have a more impressive transformation, this one is an exceptional case, great job Dr. Erdogan.
  18. it looks very normal to me especially since your hair is wet and cut short, the FUT scar will only get better and more un-noticeable with time, but to definitely fully disguise it, you should keep your hair just a tad longer on the back that what you might be used to - that's just a harsh reality of going FUT vs. FUE - continue to heal and grow well ...
  19. totally agree with everyone's observations about temple points - the first priority of the patients and docs usually is restoration of the frontal zone and framing the face, but there are very few docs/clinics that I see doing some work on the receding temple points in order to match and be somewhat symmetrical with the new hairline - would love to see some more comments and discussion on this -
  20. hey congrats, I truly understand how every little step in the recovery process feels gratifying, you've already come a long way since your surgery... even scar looks like its healing well, recovered from shock loss and improving day by day, congrats and continue healing well -
