  1. your body just went thru a trauma with your surgery - no matter how non-invasive it may be, its not so much about how groggy or tired you might feel, or how many sedatives they give you before your surgery, or how many pain killers you might need to take overnight - you need time to REST in order to heal, particularly with FUT strip surgery where you have a significant wound to heal on the back of your head - really think about it, its common sense, of course you can move around and travel etc the following day, but why would you want to?
  2. very nice, and he's able to fade his sides and back pretty short with no noticeable scar - beautiful natural result
  3. I was so obsessed with my hair loss and trying to cover it up - but when I did take the plunge and went for a HT - my entire head was shaved - for the very first time in my 46 years! To be honest, it was the most free and liberating feeling - in and out of the shower, nothing to worry about whether hair looked good or not, etc. There is definitely something to be said for just shaving it all off - and relieving that burden from our shoulders that we actually put on ourselves... nice video..
  4. get a life or a paying job dude .. its obvious u got too much free time on your hands .. and of course you'd like to forever debate an issue that's really not up for debate except in your own head ..
  5. you can disagree all you want - in fact keep writing pages and pages and pages of whatever dribble you'd like - Feller/Bloxham work in concert - if you don't like it, you don't have to go there, spend your $$ elsewhere, but to criticize, demand, order a recommended physician to do things the way YOU think they should be done, ad nauseum is quite annonying and in fact arrogant on your part - no need for you to reply
  6. you have plenty of densely packed grafts there that are just sprouting - @ 7-8 months growth it will blend in with your native hair and look outstanding! you have nothing to worrry about i'm sure -
  7. WOW - in fact it could be argued that you got the skills, artistry and work of 2 surgeons for the price of 1 - the exact opposite of what all these so called hecklers and psuedo critics have been saying and saying and saying throughout this ridiculous thread for pages and pages and pages - end of story/ move on.
  8. completely undetectable scar - nice job on the hairline too Dr. Feller!
  9. it goes on and on because moderators don't intervene when members become over-zealous and literally harassing with some of their demands and/or questions of recommended doctors - I definitely believe part of it is a "power trip" and another part is not having anything else better to do - either way, I agree with you Hairjo, its extremely annoying - move on
  10. one of the best FUE results from Dr. Rahal that I've seen - awesome result, congrats!
  11. HTsoon - I think you're current condition is great considering where you came from. I too am/was a high NW and had 2 FUE sessions to first address the frontal zone and then the mid-scalp up to the crown. I'm about 3-4 months postop on my 2nd FUE procedure, so I don't know how much coverage I"ll end up with. If its enough to wear the back a little longer and sort of cover the crown, I think I might be satisfied, but my surgeon, Rahal, said I too have more donor in the bank if I wanted to fully address the crown. I'm pretty satisfied from where I started, its a huge cosmetic improvement for me. But that hair "greed" does creep in! I know what you mean by not being "perfect".. I don't mind not having the density or coverage of a 20 year old, I am alot older than that - I think you got a great outcome with your procedures thus far - and great advice to leeda by the way
  12. esrec - you shouldn't make assumptions and judge people that you don't even know - like me .. or like you do with Dr. Feller. first off, this forum helped me immensely to make my decision to have a HT with one of the elite docs in the industry, because of my good experience, I continue to be on here and answer tons of questions of newer members who have basic questions, anxieties, and misinformation about the HT procedure, so in my own little way, that's how I give back. What I don't do, and apparently you do, is attack recommended surgeons like Dr. Feller with things you know nothing about - consulting with some of the best docs in the HT industry and having gone through procedures with them are 2 completely different things - you know NOTHING about their individual practices, procedures, if they use techs or other docs in their surgeries, etc. and for you to even state that you do clearly demostrates how moronic you are .. I've wasted enough energy on this thread - my original point stands - Dr. Feller uses a younger partner to work on surgeries - no one is forcing you to go to him - no one is saying that its an "unethical" practice - you have a CHOICE to go to whatever doctor you'd like - you DONT have a say in how a surgeon runs HIS practice.. now let's move on and get on with our own business

  14. LOL - you know the practices, procedures and setup of every top surgeon in the WORLD - that is pretty funny!
  15. "unorthodox and convoluted setup"???? by whose standards? yours? what medical qualifications do you have to make that statement? and if you believe its unethical behavior - then it should be important enought to report to the medical board
  16. I'm not missing the point at all, I think you are - no one is forcing you to have surgery with Dr. Feller since you know and don't like that fact that he has a younger partner sharing surgery responsibilities - go elsewhere! You have no right to tell him how to run his business - I'm sure he's regulated by NYS Medical Licensing Board, if his practice is unethical or somehow violates the patient's interests - I'm sure they would have something to say about it ..
  17. I meant Ottawa, Canada - as in Dr. Rahal. In my personal opinion, I would never travel to India or Turkey for surgery no matter how cheap it was! That's just me and I'm not disparaging anyone that does take that route. I'd rather stick with an elite surgeon who has their practice in the US or Canada. We have some of the best in the world right here in North America whose pre-op and especially "post-op" care are second to none.
  18. At what point do patients' get to dictate to the surgeon exactly what or what they're not supposed to be doing during a specialized procedure that they perfected? When you're going in to have heart surgery - I assume the cardiologist does the primary work - but there are a team of surgeons around him assisting. Do we as patients get to say, well this doctor can't do this or that? or do we leave it in the primary cardiologist's skilled and experienced hands? They do have an ethical and fiduciary duty to their patients - but some of the criticism on this thread seems over the top in terms of attempting to dictate to a surgeon how to run his practice and essentially the business that he's built! If you don't like it - go elsewhere! just my opinion...
  19. For FUE in the US or Canada its going to range widely from $7 to $12 per graft depending on the physician. I know its somewhat equivalent in terms of cost for Euros for the European physicians who specialize in FUE like Lorenzo, etc. I understand the Turkish and Indian doctors are the cheapest, but never quite got their pricing structure. I wanted FUE and I"m in the NY area so I decided to go to Rahal in Canada. The currency conversation rate was favorable to US residents so I may have paid less than $7 (US) per graft. It was a short flight for me, he is an elite top surgeon, specializes in FUT and FUE, so I was extremely comfortable going to him for my procedure. 1). You can do the math $7, $8, $9 or $10.00 US x 1500 grafts 2). I understand Konior is in your back yard - you also have Shapiro Medical and of course if you don't mind traveling to Ottawa - Rahal - 3). the grafts are taken from the "safe zone", that is the area of your head where the follicles are not susceptible to DHT and therefore should not miniaturize and should remain for a lifetime 4). its as permanent as you can get - so therefore your choice of surgeon, etc. is extremely important
  20. Dutchie - I don't think anyone would say its "dangerous" or not doable - its just not the most "optimal" thing for you to do.. Remember, any type of surgery is a trauma to your body - giving it the appropriate downtime to heal and recover is an important part of your post-op regiment.
  21. How long of a flight are you on? Most docs/clinics suggest waiting a few days after your procedure before you fly. I only had a 2 hour flight from Ottawa to Newark, NJ and I stayed in Canada for 3 days after my procedure - it was actually a requirement or should I say suggestion of Rahal's post op instructions. In fact, it was mandatory to go in to the clinic the following morning after surgery for a quick check up, and a cleaning. I did that for the next few days while I was in town, and then flew out with no problem.
  22. Before my HT, I used to spend so much time in the morning trying to style my hair and make it stay in place with a series of gels and strong hairspray so as to look like I had some kind of hairline, while behind it I was pretty bald. Looking back now, it made absolutely no sense and was a complete waste of time & energy - and quite frankly would stress me out! And on windy days when I had to go out with colleagues from work, etc. what a fear that created in my gut ... I'm so happy to have put those days behind me - that's the freedom that a HT gave me ..
  23. really nice growth for 4 months - even with your "problem area" - you should have good coverage.. best of luck and continued growth!
