  1. This is my second FUE procedure. My first was the most difficult to conceal since it was my entire front. I took my full vacation time, plus time to work from home and when I went back to work people still noticed something was different. My second procedure was just done 2 weeks ago and it was behind the frontal zone. Only 1500 grafts but the sides and back of my head were shaved. I still took 2 weeks off work plus 2 weeks work from home. I should be fine to go back to work after a month this time around. But my main point is, I absolutely agree with you guys - you need alot more than a week if you want to return to work looking somewhat normal.
  2. aren't you forgetting the biggest variable? the procedures were completed by 2 different doctors..
  3. I think you had really nice hair before your HT ! I would love to have had that much hair.. but yes I had 2 FUE procedures now with Dr. Rahal in Ottawa Canada. I live in the US so it was not a great distance to travel for FUE. But I understand Turkey has some great docs for FUE procedures. I was pretty bald - probably a NW 5-6. The first procedure was September 2014 where he did the frontal zone, and just 2 weeks ago I went back to do another procedure to add some more coverage behind the frontal zone up to the crown. All together I only did about 3500 grafts, but I was not looking for heavy density or to rebuild my hairline like I was 20 again. I"m 46, so I just wanted to it to look natural and conservative. My profile has pics in it if you're interested. I am very happy with Dr. Rahal and his clinic - he's a top knotch surgeon. I think you're going to have a fantastic result - congrats.
  4. I think it looks perfectly symetrical, if you were overly aggressive with the hairline it would have been obvious and un-natural looking, let it grow out and i think you'll be happy -
  5. looks very clean, best wishes for a great outcome. what doctor/clinic did you choose? how many grafts to rebuild the hairline? did you have a preop pic? where did you travel from?
  6. You sure its not just the crusting that's developed from dried blood that's happened to rise to the top of the hair shaft and will eventually fall off or shed with the hair?
  7. because the "revision" surgery to the hairline which is getting all the compliments was done by Feller & Bloxham .. read the entire thread
  8. No I did not personally have work done by Dr. Arocha, I did not know about him until I saw some of his work profiled here on the forums and its been very impressive. I live in the US but wanted an FUE procedure so I chose Dr. Rahal in Ottawa and am very pleased with his work and clinic.
  9. I haven't seen any work from Drs. Lam or McGrath. Definitely very impressed with Dr. Arocha's work and I don't think you could go wrong with him.
  10. Dr. Lindsey I would think repair cases like this probably give you an awesome sense of satisfaction! I was a repair case myself so I know the frustration of going through life thinking you look "odd" .. and after my procedure with Dr. Rahal, I was soooooo grateful ... you guys are doing important work!
  11. You have great donor and hair characteristics - don't know where you're from, but Dr. Rahal in Ottawa does FUE in North America and that's where I had my procedure done because I'm from the US. I just underwent my 2nd FUE procedure with him to address my crown and couldn't be happier. Otherwise you have other top knotch FUE docs in Europe, ie. Lorenzo, Dr Bisanga, Dr Frediuni. I understand Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Konior in the US also have some excellent FUE results. Do your research, get a couple of online and phone consulations, send in your photos, etc, get pricing, see their results, and go with your gut - that's how I chose Dr. Rahal. As long as you choose a skilled surgeon, you will be in good hands, its just a matter of who you're comfortable with. I too think that you are a perfect FUE candidate and should have an excellent result. Best of luck
  12. awesome transformation, one of the best I've seen on here
  13. people that voluntarily post their progress pics on this forum can get positive or negative feedback, all meant as constructive criticism, which is what this forum is supposed to be about, Dr. Feller is a top knotch doctor and considered one of the best in North America, every doctor has outstanding results and some that are just "ok", it is obvious that this patient's work was overly focused on the hairline - without any blending into the native hair - see the "gap" on the patient's left side profile, you may think it is acceptable to have a hairline that serves as a "wall" of hair in the front, and then a dead zone immediately behind that hairline - I dont. It looks unnatural and makes the hairline work stick out sorely - a better approach would have been to use the same amount of grafts and feather them back into the entire frontal zone in order to have more consistent density up front, not a hairline that looks like a wall. Members are allowed to and will continue to provide feedback - good or bad - regardless of the who the doctor is - including the top knotch ones like Dr. Feller.
  14. awesome musical taste with that last one HTsoon ... love me some Queen, and also a big Genesis and Phil Collins fan!
  15. a HT is only an "illusion" or creative placement of existing hairs from your donor area or safe zone to a thin or bald spot, as harryforreal's pictures clearly point out, no HT is perfect and there will definitely be a difference between your transplanted hair and your existing or native hairs, no matter how good the doc or clinic is ... the only perfection is what God made, when we try to mess with it, we may come close but you will never be the same - forget the thoughts of a HT at this point and probably in a few years as well
  16. You have a head of hair and hairline that most people on here would kill for! You're still young and being proactive about possible future hair loss - continue doing that - that's it. Any doctor that would consider you a candidate for a HT at this point would be unethical and committing malpractice in my opinion.
  17. looks fine from the front, but the left side profile clearly shows the newly transplanted grafts up front are not "blended" well with the existing hair, there is a definite "gap" between the transplanted and native hair, the recipient area should have went a bit farther back into the thinning area ... nothing a touch up or 2nd session can't fix
  18. First off, sorry to hear about how you're feeling. I can guarantee you that you are not alone. Nearly everyone on this forum has probably gone through some form depression as a result of our hair loss. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel. There are many things you can do right now to slow down and even improve your condition. You are very yound and I can tell you from my own experience, should not be considering a hair transplant at this time. I was about 22-23 when I underwent a small procedrue to my hairline and it was the worst mistake of my life becuase even though you had a HT, you continue to loose your hair progressively and are always playing catch up. As some here have already told you, look into medications such as Propecia - see a doctor about whether its a good medication for you. Also consider Rogaine, here in the US its puchased over the counter and there are less expensive generic options as well in liquid or foam form. There are a host of vitamins & supplements you should look into - Vitamin E, Saw Palmetto, Biotin, Folic Acid, Glucosamine & Chondrotin with MSM. Good shampoos for regrowth - look into Regenpure DR and NR. And lastly, as another forum member commented, I would not braid your hair as well as this puts alot of stress on your hair and may inhibit good healthy growth. I would say keep a nice short hair cut. Best of luck to you, and don't despair, you are not just hair! Of course it can be a confidence booster or downer but you can control some things and there are some that you can't. Work on the things you can control and don't worry about what you can't. Keep reading on this forum as it does provide great support and when or if you reach an age that a HT is the way to go, then it can be a great resource.
  19. Extremely natural and neat. I have a similar hair loss pattern so very interesting to see how Dr. Feller & Dr. Bloxham attacked your case. To me, seeing results from higher NW patients gives me a better idea of how good the doctor's work is. Feller/Bloxham are top notch. Enjoy and best wishes on your second procedure.
  20. very diffuse and barely noticeable, I was going to say the red lines looked like you were laying on something for a while! Fue punches & scarring is nothing compared to a linear scar from a strip surgery which looks like you had your head split open .. and in fact you did
  21. I had a small HT procedure in my early 20's - the biggest mistake of my life .... there are exceptions to everything however I don't believe any ethical doctor should be performing a HT on a 20 year old
  22. I truly "love" your result because of the naturalness and perfectly framed hairline. You're definitely an example of Shapiro's fine work - there's no wonder you were showcased! I'm a Rahal patient and going to see him again next week for a second FUE round behind my frontal zone.
