  3. there's no secret - a top knotch surgeon will give you a top knotch result, congrats!
  4. happy Rahal patient here coming up on 7 months, pics in my profile
  5. looks amazing, congrats! I had an FUE procedure with Dr. Rahal in Sept. 2014, I'm also very satisfied, he was truly realistic about my hair loss situation and I believe he and his team's skills are second to none .. picking a reputable skilled surgeon is 99% of the battle
  6. awesome result and transformation from your original before pics, 100% improvement, natural looking, enjoy!!
  7. I started using Rogaine on the transplanted grafts as well as to the back crown around day 10 or 14 after my FUE procedure and have continued using 6 months post op. It definitely helped the new grafts come in quicker, fuller and stronger - at around 2.5 months was noticeable for me but everyone is different.
  8. looking good, for me, I saw the biggest difference in my 4 to 5 month mark, it will only continue to get better growth and density from here, continued success

    congratulations!
  10. thanks Gram - appreciate the kind words, my story's a bit complicated .. I had a small procedure in the early 90's when I was in my early 20's, had just started thinning, but I should have never had that procedure in the first place ... it was also a bit of a nightmare in terms of swelling in my face, etc. of course at that time the grafts were pluggy and placed solely in my hairline .. after loosing lots more hair, I simply tried to conceal the plugs by pulling my exisinting hair forward, using hairspray, etc. .. it was a nightmare.. I did this for decades until I researched and did my homework. I did not want FUT so I found Dr. Rahal doing FUE in Canada. He only did about 2k grafts to the frontal zone and I think its a night & day appearance for me, at least I can wear my hair more naturally, etc.
  11. @ refuse2lose - looking absolutely great, you chose an excellent surgeon, I think that's 3/4 of the battle, like you I feel my HT decision was the best thing I've done for myself in a long time, best of luck and continued success with your growth!

great hair before, definitely better & noticeable density after
  13. probably 90% of people on this site would kill for your hairline and density .. surgery should be an option you may want to consider in 10-15 years if you prematurely/progressively start loosing hair, which you may not - at this stage consider meds/minoxodil/supplements & a good shampoo (Regenpure) - keep what you got and make it healthier, you should be very happy! best of luck
  14. I for one couldn't be happier with my experience and results from Rahal, I only wish I had done it sooner and saved myself alot of unecessary stress over my hair loss. Wish you continued success on your growth ...
  15. imo, the hairline is conservative and realistic given his balding pattern - exactly what I would have wanted
  16. I paid double that for my procedure and no where near that graft count for my FUE procedure with Dr. Rahal in Ottawa - but I will say I am extremely satisfied with not only my results thus far but the pre and post patient care at Rahal - the Turkey doctors and their results are extremely enticing though and a definite bang for your buck - except I believe FUE procedures should be limited to a max of 2500 per session or else you may be risking graft survival and regrowth rates .. but that's just my opinion
  17. the one I bought from my local for a few bucks CVS works just fine - its splits my pills and does not crush them and I didn't have to order online or wait for it to be shipped
  18. any CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reade has them
  19. go for it man, speaking as someone that hid a small and pluggy hairline transplant from the early 90's, its not worth all the frustration and waste of time with creative styling, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the new procedure techniques & results by any recommended surgeon on this site, including Dr. Arocha. I had my HT in Sept 2014 with Dr. Rahal in Ottawa and I'm nearly 4 months out - all I can think about is why didn't I do this sooner to save myself all the worry, aggravation, etc. There is an investment of time once you get the HT, results are not immediate and you need to be patient, but it's well worth it. Quickly looking at your photos & hair loss pattern, you also look like you're an excellent FUE candidate - just my opinion & preference if you don't already have a scar from a prior surgery. Best of luck to you.
  20. obvious huge improvement from your pre-op status, congrats and wishing you continued growth and success
