  1. I've seen posts on here about fibers, and fiber spray, and hair sprays, but not a lot about sprays that are both a hairspray and fiber thickener in one. I've seen Nioxin makes one, but it gets bad reviews of late. There's also a Bosley one. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good combo spray with fibers? Thank you for any suggestions.
  2. Thank you for the replies everyone, i will look up a doctor listed on here for a consultation.
  3. Ive been taking 1mg almost 2 years now. I started in early 2015, and took it about every other day. 2016 I upped it to abot 6 days a week. I don't think it's had much effect if any. My slow loss that started about 15 years ago has continued (Im about a Norwood 2.5 now). The crown may be a little thicker, maybe not, its hard to tell. So, just curious if I've given it enough time, I'd like to try some herbal treatments, I've been using Rogaine once daily for years and think its helped slow the loss a lot. Thank you for any suggestions.
  4. I have light brown and have slowly moved from a Norwood 1 to Norwood 2 over the last couple decades. Ive taken Rogaine once a day during this time and started Finpecia in February. I havent noticed much shedding, though when I apply Rogaine, I usually have a couple hairs in my fingers right after, and they are almost always very dark/black. I know that most peoples hair is made up of different colored hair, though am curious if losing dark hairs when someones overall hair color is lighter, means anything. Thank you for any suggestions.
  5. Thanks again for the replies everyone, I may try the laser comb at some point. I have one more question that maybe should be separate thread... I've read here and there, something to the effect that Propecia builds up in the system over time, and after a while you can reduce dosage to maybe every other day as opposed to every day. I'm having trouble finding any mention of that now, so Im curious what you all think of that idea?
  6. ...I didn't realize my type of hair loss was more susceptible to shock loss. I'll do the once a day Rogaine and Finasteride for now, and maybe try Saw Palmetto or something else down the road. Thanks again.
  7. I started losing my hair in the mid nineties at the age of 25. Since then I've been taking Minoxidil once a day and my hair loss has slowly progressed to a Norwood 2. I'd like to stop or even reverse the loss and would like some feedback on my plan: Minoxidil - Increase to 2x a day. Dutasteride - .125 mg a day (I read it's more effective than Propecia). Nizoral - Twice a week. Will also be doing some all natural home made shampoos but those are for cosmetic reasons. Just curious if anyone has any feedback or suggestions about this plan?
  8. I'd still like to see...slight loss is not the same as no results, just keeping most of what you have is a victory worth sharing. Not a big deal though. I don't think I had any shedding with minoxidil at any point, at least nothing noticeable. I'll definitely try propecia, thanks for the advice. Do you or anyone else know of a legitimate site to buy the generic version without a prescription? I tried inhousepharmacy once years ago, back then I didnt find anything online bad about them, though it seems their reputation has changed for the worse.
  9. Thank you, I'm going to try it. I'm curious to see how your hair looks now, and/or over the years, if you feel like posting photos.
  10. I've been slowly losing my hair since the mid 90's, I think Rogaine has slowed the loss. The scalp is starting to show through, and I'd like to try additional treatments to stop the growth or maybe even regrow some. I'm curious what people would recommend, specifically, if anyone has dealt with hair loss similar to mine as far as look and/or duration, and what they used to treat it? I'm also curious what my hair loss would be classified as, I would guess a Norwood 2? Thank you for any feedback. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/bdp31770/albums/3364

I've been taking generic Rogaine 5% for the last few years, but with recent thinning am looking into additional treatments.
