  1. Seeing such an amazing repair. I havent seen repairs like this coming out of Canada. Very few of the few can nail such repairs. Maybe a first with great yield and density. It is amazing to see and you feel so happy for the patient. Some folk feel depressed about themselves at their situation.
  2. Interesting case. That is not a good result. It is See through. If it is see through, it goes against the objective of a good hair transplant. Too sparse overall. Be careful with repair and pace this out if you have to. Definitely needs a reasonable solution. If it is a recommended surgeon they should assist you. I am hoping mine fills in by November too. Sparsity, see through, not blending in well are all valid concerns. Hope you get this sorted out soon. Wish you the best.
  3. Dr Feller, as already documented, i was also initially told i had over 10,000 grafts available. without any tool used, but rather sifting through the hair with hands and eye fuckment. Is it that simple to calculate grafts like that?
  4. I see. I can see where the redness is. I just wanted to confirm placement. At this length and at this stage, it looks patchy in the center to the right side of your hairline. With some slight patches to the left side of your hairline. One side does look more sparse then the other. Not sure if substantial grafts would grow in by next month, but monitor it and take pics. Good way to measure sparse look is to grow it out and see how sunlight and normal room lighting affects the look. If you have a cosmetically see through look, then it may need repair. Hopefully, thinkgs change for you by the time you reach month 8. Keep an eye onnit though and let your surgeon know your concerns. Hope thisnis resolved soon. Thanks for sharing..
  5. Norwood 3v from those pics but could advance. Hair caliber looks thinner so depending on the size of area covered it may be sufficient. Def get on meds if you can and your body allows it under the supervision of a doc. But honestly, be careful. It is not as straightforward as it seems. You do not want to end up a repair patient chasing repairs. Make sure you have everything in writing. If you do not get the right result then the doc should repair at least . Think this through though. Having a virgin scalp may be a blessing. Get multiple opinions by docs. I really hope the doc nails it for you. If you go with it, document well online and show updates. I really hope this goes well for you.
  6. Other then what was mentioned, some doctors offer special pricing around certain timeframes that may be discounted. Example: for short time offering $6 per graft FUE initially Some docs you can even negotiate with behind the scenes. Listen i am getting 2800 grafts with you can you do for $6.50 or match another fue providers price? Etc etc. It all depends on the complexity of your case. If it is a easy case then sometimes you can get what you want. If it is a complex repair cae, maybe not? Some docs will even give you discounts for coming in on cancellations. Some will give you discounts even when you share or show videos and are willing to be their showcase. So if paient A pays $8, patient B may pay $6 around the same time depending on how and what you negotiate.
  7. Tbcruz, would the doc be planting any of those 2000 grafts in zones that have existing native hairs? Esp the weaker zones in the fron? Just be careful of shockloss. Norwood 3? Looks like you should monitor your loss since you are 28 and the loss may be advancing another stage. What density is is the doc placing in your front recipient zone? Did you get a micron test to measure your hair caliber? The thicker the hair, the better coverage may be woth less grafts. The thinner the hair, the more coverage you may need. Best of luck.
  8. I can't tell anything. Have you tried to grow out your Hair? How any grafts did you have and honestly what zones? This is important for worldwide viewers to see and learn from. Thanks.
  9. Dr Feller, Do you have any pics of results of mFUE and the donor extraction sites? How is the yield so far with that technique? I don't know what to think of ishrs at the time being as some members seem to do things detrimental to patient safety and they are still members of such list it seems. Dr Bloxham or Dr Feller, do you have any technique that can remove cobblestoning or ridging? I think main problem with FUE is robots, techs, nurses, extracting. Or some using harsh high speed motorized tools. Or Suction based tools. Not many commit to true manual punch and that us sad. Manual may reduce the negative impacts quite a bit it seems. I just wish there is something or someone can do to help some repair folks move forward. Dr Feller and Dr Bloxham, youve been making some good points and worth noting. Id love to see more repair work by your office. Thanks.
  10. Im hoping the next step is to fill in the other areas or that he has enough donor to cover other areas. The hairline is more dense vs other surgeons that worked on similar hair types and zones, i will give you that. Definitely does not look all that see through in the front. Especially, considering the amount of loss he had in the recipient zone. It did yield fairly well. He probably wont have eyes staring at his hairline or front in meetings, so that's a good thing. I guess he can maintain the crown and midscalp with concealer/fibers for time being.
  11. This is insane. Has the dr offered anything to rectify the situation? Did he use motor to extract or manual punch. Did he work on extractions or his techs extracted? It is key info for viewers of forums to know. I can feel your pain. No one wants it to look sparse. Reason we get restoration is to havd a natural look and not a sparse look. Any good doctor would at least try to rectify his or her work. Im familiar with this territory and hoping for the best. Hope things turn out well for you. Keep us posted.
  12. I think locking threads is no good unless physical threats are presented. If not, let them run back and forth and die down or etc. For new folks it is important to evaluate and make their own decision. Even locking up threads due to docs, let the doc or agent and patient duke it out and let others see how they handle it. Some forums dont even allow as much as you do, which is appreciated. Which is why some may be under the radar of organizations they feel are not monitoring. The best is to not to defend a paying doc nor to bereate a frustrated patient. Keep it open. If we are not a judge and jury then no one is offended as this forum is also not in the business of being judge jury. then let it run its course. I have no issues with it. Yes, if fake ips or trolls are poppin up then thats a diff situation. If threats are presented, then thats a different situation. At the end of the day, there should be no suppression as it is important for people to learn. It is a forum after all. Then the folks that have participated in lengthy discussions feel cheated. Its a tough call but the more freedom you give the more active users will be.
  13. At the stage, seems to be on track Ernie. Great to see the update. Happy growing.
  14. Hi Arminius. When you wrote "Transection rate was 2%" what did you mean? 2% of extracted grafts did not extract properly?
  15. Hard to see in the pics but it looks like average donor. Be careful if you get FUE in that donor and if extractions are all taken close too each other versus scattered apart. You can end up with halos or square see through extraction areas and it can be permanent. Be careful and wish you the best.
  16. The best surgeon is the one that does the surgical aspects of surgery and to do so ethically and keeping patient safety in mind. There are a few in USA, Europe, Spain, India, Thailand, Pakistan, Middle East, etc. Bill actually had fantastic work from Hasson & Wong in Vancouver. They have been putting out some great work.
  17. So 65cm2 should definitely not be see through under natural light, sun light, or any other lighting conditions right?
  18. Be careful about having supposade high density placed in native hair areas. You do not want to be in a position where everything is see through in all types of lighting where folks stare at your scalp. Go to a responsible doc and get a consult. Be careful and best of luck.
  19. Hi Sumeet, Youve been on minoxidil for a month. That is definitely not enough time to see results. If you are a good responder, you should see growth by the end of the year. Minoxidil does make you shed initially as it throws off your growth cycles, it takes a few months to see results. It sheds weaker hairs and grows nourished thicker hairs in replacement. Definitly use it as directed and report results in 6 months and one year mark. I am not familiar with the hair fibers you are using, do you have toppik or nanogen or couvre in your area? Shockloss can happen anywhere in recipient or crown or even donor. In my experience vs what some doc told me, it can happen within native zones. If you have substantial hairloss in your family, definitely consider restoration especially the crown for later. You do not want to use too many grafts in that area. Ar kissi ki baaton mein nahi ana. Agar koi sawal ho, muje pm karna. Best of luck and best wishes.
  20. Or a doc that told me their FUT yield Matched their FUE rate. That there was no difference between the two in terms of results.
  21. Can we add more clinics to the list? Preferably one that said their FUT yield rate matched their FUE rate? They also mentioned there is no difference in growth and it is 100%? Just to keep track, what are the clinics that are under consideration for a phone call?
  22. Now this is an interesting conversation most folks would love to hear. It will be helpful to most prospective patients and those that had undergone procedures in the past.
  23. Some folks have regrets, lets see if it is a bigger regret come this November. Fue should be done slowly and meticulously in order to have high yield and less transection. It should be done by a doctor. No one here knows exactly what goes on inside those doors unless they had previou ls surgeries. My advice is to meet real actual forum patients that had the procedures with the doc of your choice and see if that is what you are looking for.
  24. I think Dr Lupanzula is very reasonable. He bats dense results with lower grafts utilized. Definitely consider him as i think he actually does the major surgical aspects of surgery vs techs.
