  1. Your donor can be screwed if the doctor does extractions in a compressed pattern. You will showcase a halo in your donor if done wrong. It is too risky, if you need to do anything, smp may be the better option but it’s all risky though. You just have to pick the solution with the least long term risk.
  2. It is a huge risk. Not as straightforward. Im nearly destroyed cuz of it and waiting for a proper resolution. I would advise against FUE unless the doctor does test sessions, does the extractions themselves, and does it manually which means wothout a motorized tool. Youll notice some folks giving advice saying its not the tool as it is mostly the doctor. Thats horseshit as both factors are something to consider. FUT, may be the safer option, but it depends who you go to or if the clinic you go to does multiple surgeries a day. Proceed carefully, you do mot realize how many screwed up surgeries happen as folks contact you behind the scenes if something goes downhill for you. Forums mostly display the sweet profitable things. You just have to be careful. If your in new york, i dont mind showing my scalp in person to show you. Dont get swayed by any marketer. I am in such a bad state right now and would definitely not want anyone to be in this situation.
  3. Be careful, fue can create scars too. Esp if you end up having donor shockloss, recipient ridging and cobblestoning. Id get consult from surgeons that do aspects of surgeries themselves, including extractions.
  4. Beard, nape, chest hairs should be a last resort. It does not look natural at all imo. Im talking from experience. My hair looks terrible right now. I am hoping it is rectified soon. Yield is off and it looks worse. Definitely, should re-evaluate eveything. If you get body hairs, beard, nape, chest, etc, you probably need to forfeit propecia forever. Not only that, you wont be able to take certain supplements for health. Best of luck
  5. It could have made it worse, should have it checked by few hair transplant doctors. Is there any rudging or cobblestoning in the recipient zone? I am suffering big time myself.
  6. Man, so sorry to hear you go through this. Definitely get multiple consults. See if you can get consults from FUE docs that do the surgical aspects of surgery themselves, which should include extractions. This is one of the many pains of being a repair patient. You just want to move forward and to do so without any issues. Had it been done correctly, you would not be where you are today. It is complete bullshit what you are going through. I am waiting to get my life back. Hope you are able to proceed and your goals are addressed. Wish you the best.
  7. Man so sorry you to see what you are going through. As for the touch up cancellation, it was probably a smart idea. I myself wasnt given enough options after first FUE as other screwed patients were, so I went in to repair the first one and was screwed more, then sent to get another and im a bad situation. It is such a nightmare. I am very surprised to see the doctor didnt respond after you were notified they would. It is very disheartening to see this and see what you are going through. Worst part is, you are trying to sort this out on your own. Forums rarely play defense for the patient, at first it may seem so, but then a 180 occurs and things are locked and the right investigators are fuken noticing that and there are great folks directing certain parties to any hint of marketing fraud. I hope you get this resolved and 100% resolved without any bs blame on you. I am so close to talking to few of my reporter friends to highlight marketing fraud and venues that do little to help patients.
  8. Htregrets, have you talked with the doctor about any of this?
  9. Yea, it would be nice to know but based on my own archive, his thread was locked.
  10. It depends on how slow though? Are you 8 months in and haven’t seen anythying? Or 4 months in and havent seen much? If your over 6-7 months and havent seen much then probability of dense growth is limited. Get evaluated by multiple docs in person and see what they say. Ive been told to wait plenty of times and my situation is hell. There is no expected density or growth. Just wasting time and years.
  11. The only way body hair, chest hair, beard hair may work is if you have those 10,000 plus graft surgeries or so. It is like a garden, you plant thousands of seeds but only like 25% may take. I think the graft survival in that type of hair may be terrible. It is probably a hit or miss. Nape hair also seems to be crap and unnatural looking and due to its fine nature and most of those hairs may not even survive extraction. Which area on the scalp in particular do you need this type of hair? Crown or midscalp or hairline or everything? It will also depend on your hair texture, but if done properly, beard hair can be used as filler hair for crown and midscalp. I know, from experience, from being operated on, this type of hair can make the actual hair look more unnatural. Right now, i need to get this issue resolved which is now turning into a bigger issue. FML
  12. Amazing work Dr Lindsey. Can you imagine, after what I have been through with two other known doctors, my hairline and procedure looks worse then the state of this patient in your video. Seeing a video like this makes a patient feel hopeful. The situation i am in has made me suffer quite a bit. I shouldn’t have had to suffer this much but if things were done with greater care, then maybe I would not be in the situation i am in. You did a fantastic job and SUCCESSFULLY repair this patient. I really need to be repaired properly and I am very upset at my situation. Only then, I can probably live in peace. Keep up the great work! You delivered and made sure this patient can move forward with peace.
  13. You can grow through seasonal sheds but unless they were taken outside the safe zone, the hairs should stay. Unless a person has a medical condition or goes through chemo. Or A transplant may not be done with proper protocols and use of the right hairs. Im which case you can be messed up big time. Like a person like me, who has been trying to have a normal looking head of hair and not called out as being bald or losing hair or friggen told it seems you have a hair transplant. I am so upset at the situation ive been put through. Please be careful
  14. Honestly, key word is aggressive. I would hold off and see how it looks st 35. You do not want to chase repairs or hairloss. I am on the receiving end and I can tell you i am close to being destroyed if the screw ups are not addressed. I am so sick of suffering alll these years. If only my procedures were done correctly and under expertise from the start. Wrong surgical protocols can lead to disaster.
  15. They are probably the ones that do the procedure nice and slow using manual non motorized methods. I am very worried about my situation right now.
  16. Hope you see more improvement at 12 months KO. I’d agree, density is not there yet. Did the clinic say anything else other than ‘they noted improvement in frontal zones’. Overall, what matters is that the goal you pursued is reached when this is done. Hope youbare happy in the end, that’s what matters. Best wishes.
  17. If you try to repair that area with nape hair you may end up worse. I do not think nape hair is a viable resource and that is from physical experience. Be very careful overall. Make sure you get medical records, get actual dslr picture with anyone that does any Procedure for you. Have all documentation and emails as they come in handy. Im a wreck at the moment and things look worse. Best of luck to you.
  18. TexasSoldier, research well. Be very careful. This procedure isn’t as straightforward as you may think. Lots of factors. Last thing you want is to be a repair patient or worse at any time, especially photo time. I haven’t had proper photos with family for quite some time now. Do not even attend gatherings or events. Everything is just at a pause. I do not know if you are in the military, as your username indicates, but I was and would urge great caution. Wish you the best in whatever you decide.
  19. Payment to any forum does not mean only those docs are top notch. It is all marketing. At one point or another, docs were not recommended individuals anywhere. Then one day they were discovered, agreements sent, payments made, then now your part of something that promotes and protects them. But you got a point, some docs on the forums and their density claims are seriously questionable. Sometimes you wish you can turn back time. The worst thing for anyone is to end up being a repair patient after you read these forums and see all the marketing and hype. You put so much trust in someone and end up worse. In reality, i hope folks do not have to go through touchups and repairs as it happens. Some docs may not even send you your entire medical record to you if that is the case.
  20. FakeName, sorry to hear that. Sometimes doctors may not do what you ask or disagree with your requests. All you can do for now is wait. Hang in there. Best if luck.
