  1. Thanks SWdan But are you talking about SMP or hair transplant? Everywhere I read on the web says results should be seen after about a week
  2. Hello guys, I would be very happy for a qucik reply from you, as my next appoinment is in 3 days and I'm not sure what to do. I had my first SMP session 5 days ago. My baldness is general but I still got hair, it's just very thin, and I keep a buzzcut look. Now after 5 days it seems that there is only minor improvement, I just see some dots that actually look quite synthetic and unnatural but it's only if you take a very close look. Other than that it just seems that the improvement is too minor. I know that 5 days are not enough for the final look, and I have one more session in a few days, but the SMP professional explained that the second is only to complete the 20% left and the major imporvement should come from the first session. Do you think it's normal? I'm afraid to lose more money, and thinking to stop now. To make my question more accurate - can it be that after 5 days I only see a small percentage of the improvement to come in the future? Thanks a lot in advance, George
  3. Hello guys, Today I went to consultation in an smp clinic. The guy told me that the treatment will cost about 1500usd and touchups every 1-2 years will cost 200$. It sounds fair, but the thing is that I'm about to leave the country soon so I might need to do touchups at another clinic. I'm wondering if this price for touchup is low because the guy wants me to stay loyal, or just becuae it costs much less if I still have some of the ink on my scalp. What do you think? Does it make a difference in your experience if you do the touchups in a different clinic? Thanks a lot in advance, George
  4. Hello John and Kirkland thank you for your answers, I think too that Shera made some very good points. John, your donor area looks good and really there is no evidence of any scarring! Just out of curiousity, do you like the buzz cut look with your hair transplant in the recipient area? Do the transplanted grafts blend well with your natural ones? Also, did you have SMP or just hair transplant? Kirkland, I'll keep your advice in mind Thanks guys!
  5. Ok I see thanks a lot mate Would be great to hear more opinions Thanks in advance
  6. Hey BHilt Do you mean you have to shave to 0 mm every 4 days? Thanks again
  7. Thanks a lot Shera you really helped me make up my mind to postpone the hair transplat, for now as you said(: Hope you have a nice weekend
  8. Thanks a lot Shera. So in that case, maybe I'm better off just having SMP instead of hair transplat? As you said I'm guessing it's hard for you to say without seeing my scalp so I attached two photos. What do you think? Also would you say it's possible to combine SMP with a haircut of 3mm, or do I have to shave my head completely? I appreciate your help Thanks again, George
  9. Hey everyone, I like to rock a buzz cut haircut but not too short, something like 3mm or 4mm. I know that SMP is ink, so is it not possible to blend SMP with a 3mm haircut? Can I go for it only if I shave my head completely? Thanks in advance, George
  10. Hello Shera and thank you very much for your detailed answer. Just to see that I understand you, you are saying that with 3mm haircut and about 3000-3500 grafts, itmight look unnatural? So for the donor area 3mm is enough to hide the scars, but for the recipient area what would you say is the minimun length of milimiters? Would you say that I need more than 3500 grafts to be sure that is looks natural? Thanks again in advance, George
  11. Hello everyone, I'm considering doing a FUE transplant, and I've been told by a few doctors I need about 3000 grafts. My hair is thin on the front but the balding is general so I need the new grafts to be blended with my existing hair. I like shaving my head to 3mm or 4mm which I think is equivalent to #1 guard. So I have two questions: Will scars in the back of my head will be visible if shaved to 3mm? And more importantly, will the frontal area look natural? Will the new grafts blend well with my existing grafts when I shave to 3 mm ? I know about SMP, but I don't want my "hair" that short, and also I go to the beach a lot and under the sun a lot. What do you think? Is it too risky? Thanks a lot in advance, George
