  1. This is insane. More and more reason hair transplants/restoration/smp/ anything that is face and head related and highly visible, should be regulated more to protect the patient. The amount both Physical and Psychological damage can be initiated or worsened in any person. Ive had discussions with some big shots about this. The more the complaints keep coming in, the better it is for this to become a reality in North America. This one case with KSL and tons of patients is so powerful, that there are now active drives to regulate this in UK. It is a pity what those patients are going through. I hope there is great compensation to those folks vs a measly couple of grand to do a half ass repair or insufficient funds to fully repair those folks.
  2. Yes, i have been pretty swollen. That whole lower eyelid thing is a big concern to me. I never had that issue but noticed that i have it still under one eye more than the other at different times. The skin is no longer tight there and it seems to sag after so much fluid built up there after surgery. It looks like an aging eyelid but i am not even in my 40’s. It happened so drastically and not sure if this issue goes away. Let me know how it works out for you and I have to see if i can get this additional krap treated too. Best of luck.
  3. Yaar Manish, sorry to hear that. There is a way but best is to take a detailed hd photo. Your recipient zone should clearly be seen. You will have to zoom in on that photo. Each red dot could be considered a graft. You’ll see each of them spaced apart. Some folks have encountered this issue in the past. Where they paid for x number but may have gotten less. It all depends on the doctor though. It is rarer with known surgeons but you never know. Hope you are able to verify and move forward.
  4. Dr. Beehner, I admire your confidence and will to take on challenging cases. Clearly, it is not the norm of some doctors showcasing work online who tend to take mostly virgin scalps and show to the world the so called their own realistic dense marketed expectations. Based on some folks I know, some docs will send patients to other docs to do repairs because they can’t fix damage or want to get rid of a patient they may have did something causing a patient great harm thus possibly ruining a life. This is where a patient may not know the magnitude of the damage caused. Cobblestoning and ridging are uncommon no doubt, but some folks who go with some “top” docs apparently still face this. This can happen when surgery is possibly not ethically performed and with a poor surgical protocol and etc. I see how you were able to blend the damaged portion with placement of grafts to cameoflage the damage. Now the one thing some professionals mentioned to me was that resection/removal of such tissue is an option given to such patients. Some folks said grafting in and around heavily impacted scar tissue may hinder graft growth. From this result, it looks like you were able to attain graft growth and survival in and around the scar tissue. Thank you for sharing this. You definitely saved this patient from embarrassment. Embarrassment, ridicule, and comments by folks in person is not easy to swallow, it is quite painful. So painful, that you can question the damage daily and question life. I hope when a person becomes a doctor, they understand ethics actually are there for their patient, tell the truth, and are always honest. Being a doctor is a profession not a game. By your willingness to help fix and do repairs as well, clearly you understand your profession well. I do not think I deserve at all what I am facing one bit. As a war Veteran and Marine, I always wanted to be stress free and actually have my life back. It is doctors like you, that are treating and helping repair patients that give some hope to folks that there may be different ways out of a difficult situation a person is in. Thanks for sharing and showing that may be there are different ways to tackle repairs and see what different options could be. I really appreciate it. Thank You.
  5. Yaar this going to be a long road. I would try to remain on meds. You have some native hairs in between. If you are a candidate for FUE, make sure doctor has a good surgical protocol and extracts grafts if it is FUE. Considering you may need over 5000 grafts, surgery should be done imo in 2-3 day period (if fue as it takes longer). Grafts left out of body for a long time after extraction may die, resulting in chances of lower yield. This is a possibility. FUT may be a safer option, but No one knows how that scar can heal. No one knows if your surgery will be a success or if you will be a repair after all this. Muje dek
  6. If you have bumps and pitting, keep an eye on it until month 6. See if it goes away as it should by then. No doubt it is stressful as it is on the face. Redness should also clear. For the hairs that have shed, are those all transplanted hairs? Good luck, i know this can be very stressful. But by 6 month if there is minimal improvement, email your surgeon. I would highly recommend documenting and taking photos. Best of luck.
  7. What particular shampoo are you using? Most of these shampoos help prevent sebum. They may make your scalp healthier which can help with hair overall. I do mot think they limit dht as they claim but may help keep scalp healthier vs harsh shampoos.
  8. Any further procedure with this surgeon may result in similar or worse yield. You do not want uneccessary scar tissue formation when the same friggen surgeon works on the same zone. The more you let that surgeon damage that soil, the more you will not have a successful repair elsewhere. You do not want to go through a resection or scar tissue removal procedure because of this. I would definitely avoid and see if you can go to a dedicated crown specialist for this type of work. Definitely see if you can be prescribed meds or tolerate finasteride and rogaine. It is complete BS what you are going through. I know a few bad cases from IAHRS surgeons. Folks I know are trying to get repaired or have been repaired or refunded. I am not sure if that organization will try to help you if you file a complaint with them, so instead it may be better to file a complaint with them, then take that copy and also attach a complaint with local med board, then take both copies and file complaint with FTC. Maybe include the IAHRS page of the surgeon that did this as well. It may help? Sorry you have to go through this. I hate when folks go through this type of bullshit. Hopefully, you will get this sorted out. Definitely ask for a refund at least because i have no idea what the objective of this hair transplant was and the surgeons own expectations must have been something else. Who knows? But you definitely deserved better.
  9. Honestly, you should check with Dr Bhatti. Your donor will probably need spread out extractions via FUE. It doesnt look too dense. That’s a lot of real estate to cover. As long as you are ok with realistic expectations with the number of grafts proposed, you should only then consider surgery. I would definitely avoid any extraction in the nape hair area. The thinner the hair, the unlikelihood of surviving an extraction. Nape hair seems to look very unnatural too (if it survives), so definitely avoid those hairs. Best thing you got going on right now is that you have a virgin scalp. Once you start the journey, that’s it. Some folks are still trying to finish their journey after multiple procedures. Fml
  10. Wow. Looks great with that fade. Temples and hairline blend well.
  11. That scar is increadible. Having a hard time seeing it especially done twice in his head. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Thanks Wei, Lets hope I can get my life back soon. Journey has been exhausting and stressful. Nobody wants to end up being a repair. Not sure if Dr Keser does beard, but you may want to email him about that. If he charges 3 Euro, i don’t it is too high considering he does only you as the patient of the day and does limited graft extractions a day. I think he paces his surgery which may be a reason of the higher yield aince your grafts are not out of body for so many hours. The linger the grafts are outside of body, the likelihood the grafts may not survive. There are other surgeons though in usa that do manual fue too I believe. Dr Vorhies, Dr Wong, Dr Konior etc
  13. Absolutely, there are docs outside of Turkey that also do their own extractions via manual FUE. Pricing may not be the same for most part, but there is.
  14. Hair4chris, have you ever went in to get a hair transplant yet?
  15. In my opinion—Well the initial graft placement looks refined. By the time 8 month is done, you should be completing new graft growth stage. That is for distinct growth. Rest of the months ahead will probably be more like maturing. Hope you get what you seek when this is done. Best of luck.
  16. For 5 months, that is indeed impressive. Lets see how it fills in in next 3 months. Those temporal angle closures definitely make a big difference to the natural look. Good stuff. Very few docs are capable of doing that successfully. That includes some known docs.
  17. No doubt this is impressive a d challenging repair. Great job! Dr. Beehner, have you worked on any patient that had ridging and cobblestoning where a removal of the tissue was necessary? This is primarily due to tissue damage from excess trauma during dense packing. Primarily in the hairline area? Just wondering and trying to get an idea how successful such a surgery would be and will the scar heal well. If you have any cases like that, it would be great to see. Thanks for repairing this patient. It was a challenging case and very few docs take on challenges as they try to show “showcase” results with virgin scalps more and more. I really applaud you taking on such a case and helping this person.
  18. Finasteride can help maintain hair and in some cases regrow. Rogaine can work too but your chances with regrowth are slim if that area of hairloss has been bald for more than 2 years. There is another drug but that should only be used if docs approve it (dutesteride aka avodart). It is stronger and there are worries with pregnancy and interactions with alcohol. I too had a forehead issue, surgery in the right hands probably could treat it. Right now, i am not doing too well but avoid surgery as much as you can until you have distinct hairloss (if you think you need it). Have you tried any other hair styles as an option? Sometimes changing your hairstyle may help. There are also concealers that may help. Best of luck. Hope it works out for you.
  19. Harisub yaar, have you spoken to your doc about any concealers such as dermatch? I wouldn’t use any until your entire area is fullly healed and matured. Are you in any medications like rogaine or finasteride? Please keep us posted.
  20. Granted donor may look concerning, but still, for 7000 grafts there has been a very distinct change (in a positive way) to the recipient zone. In fact, it is more impressive in yield vs results on some folks that went to known docs with similar number of grafts in the recipient zone. This doctor is not even known online, but maybe should consider paying membership and getting on the forum lists. Some organizations are too costly for docs that may work at very low rates and those that do one patient a day. This is based on economies of scale in their own prospective countries. However, I am sure some forums account for reasonable rates and varying prices based on these constraints. Now, the donor part, lets see how it looks at 12 month mark. Maybe in this case, a little smp here and there may go a long way if there is continued density loss. One thing is for sure, at least he can shave his head and still look completely normal. Not a lot of folks can say that.
  21. Really? This is news to me. Hopefully, it is just language lost in translation but last I read and even speaking with him via video conference a while back, he mentioned he does his own. He seems like a really down to earth guy.
  22. Yes, if you are paying a certain premium price to a doctor for his or her name, then that doctor needs to do all aspects of surgery. Extracting is surgery. Few clinics may bypass this in North America by using a robotic machine called Artas which get continued updates as it is not perfected 100%. The best likely experienced extractions are done by surgeons. Techs may implant grafts into recipient sites created by doctors, but they should not extract as it is considered surgery as there is tissue that is scored. In fact, a lot of areas consider this illegal. Some folks ended up as repair patients where techs may gave extracted. Dr Karadenis is good I heard, but Dr Keser does his extractions completely manual and limits number of extractions per day. I do not think many doctors if any offer a dedicated one patient a day procedure where that same patient may come back each day until all grafts are inserted. Best of luck
  23. This is bull and it irritates me. I feel for densedream as that scar is not pencil thin. The most dangerous things anyone can say is that there are more thinner then thicker scars. This is how folks researching surgery end up getting into trouble and confused with what is listed on any piece of paper. Being a repair patient, ive had my fair share of folks that do not post that seem to believe the contrary. There are thousands of patients from various clinics, chains and mills that have unsatisfactory results. Ive seen crazy strip scars, zigzag scars, donor depletions, scar tissue and ridging and cobblestoning issues dissucssed with me by other patients(even in person). Ive even spoken to guys tht had Necrosis. Yes, some are from known docs. Most folks do not post. Out of non profit and goodwill gestures, Ive assisted folks file complaints with powerful agencies, get repairs, get refunds, etc etc etc, as a result. In this case, it is clear of what densedream is facing and it is complete bullshit he has to go through this. He has every right to voice his concern whether he does this without anger or with anger. There is an indentation in his scar and it does look distinct. That is a fact and most folks could tell it is a hair transplant scar when they see it. Right now what matters most is he gets his issue resolved. Ive heard good things about Dr Wong by some folks too and I hope you get this sorted. He seems to be an honest doctor from what was described. Best of luck man. Im hoping things turn out well so you can be at peace.
  24. Yes, you can but avoid if possible, you’ll risk creating scar tissue that can lead to ridging or cobblestoning. Repairs are not good in all hands. Some doctors can mess things up more each time they inject you with saline and do any extraction. Trust me on this, it is absolute hell.
