  1. Hello guys Since the start of october I have been taking Finasteride 1 mg once a day to prevent further hair loss (I am a 20-year-old guy at NW2 atm). I can see some 2-3 cm hairs regrowing in both my temples (primarily in the left temple) and also some hair in the frontal hair line. Can this be used to confirm that the Finasteride is working and has stopped my hair loss? Thanks.
  2. Hi everyone. I have started Finasteride 1 mg about 3-4 months ago and it seems like the hair loss has stopped and furthermore I have noticed some hair regrowing in the temples. Why should I worry about further hair loss? Doesn't Finasteride stop any further? I am not going to have a hair transplant until 5-10 years at least.
  3. Hi Like Thank you for your comment. I have just started taking Propecia in order to prevent any further hair loss (hopefully). And you think I should be at least 25-30 years old If I were to have a hair transplant? Even though my hair loss maybe (hopefully) will slow down rapidly or even completely stop because of Propecia? Thank you.
  4. Hello again Melvin. I totally agree with you. I just wondered what the best surgeon(s) would be if I were to have a hair transplant in the future. Thank you.
  5. Hello everyone As of today I have started taking Propecia and hopefully I do not experience any side effects. Futhermore it is also very cheap compared to what I thought it would be. Around 27 $ which is nothing compared to if I were to have a hair system
  6. Hello everyone I am a young 20-year-old man from Denmark who suffers from MPB. I have had a consultation with one of the few hair transplant doctors in Denmark (dr. Zontos) who has told me that I should start using Finasteride to prevent any further hair loss. Therefore I am going to have a consultation with my docotor tomorrow to make him prescribe me finasteride. If I were to have hair transplant in the future to recreate my hair line (and temples? i dont know if they have reeceded as well) who would be the most qualified doctors in Europe? Money is not an issue. Thank you Mathias
  7. Fuck I had no idea I was thinning on the top.. How slowly would you build up to 1 mg? Could you give an example? Thank you
  8. Hello everyone Thank you. In regards to my crown I have taken a picture right after I showed and one after I blowdryed my hair. Does it show any sign of thinning? And in regards to taking Propecia what would be the most ideal to do? 1 mg (one pill) every day or divide it into quaters/halves? Thank you very much.
  9. Hello again Jean In regards to my crown I am not sure whether it is balding or not. My hair dresser always tell me that i have heavy swirl in the crown area. Could it be a swirl and not thinning? Thank you
  10. At what stage on the norwood-scale would I be placed at atm? NW1 or 2?
  11. Hello Jean Thank you for your comment. In my family history balding is not something my father and uncle started to experience before they turned 40. No one in my family has even been totally bald. My older brother (36 years old) does not suffer from any hair loss at all. I probably will lose more hair if I dont do anything but I never think that I would be completely bald. Is it possible, as you mention, to lower the dose by cutting the pill in quaters/halves? Thank you very much Kind regards Mathias
  12. Hello everyone I am a 20-year-old young man from Denmark who has started to experience some recession in the temple areas. Unfortunately I am not certain when this began but I think it started when I was 18 years old. Therefore I went to have a consultation with one of the few hair transplant doctors in Denmark, dr. Zontos, who told me that I do indeed suffer from antrogenic alopecia (MPB). He told me that it would not be ideal to have a hair transplant surgery as I would probably just lose more hair and it would not look normal. I totally agree with this. He told me that I should have a consultation with my doctor and make him prescribe me Propecia. However I am very scared of possible side effects but I have also read that only 1.5 % do suffer from any side effects. I am not sure what to do Please give me some advice Kind regards Mathias
  13. Hello everyone I am a 20-year-old guy from Denmark who has experienced some hair loss in the temple areas over a few years. I think it started when I was about 18 years old - I am not entirely sure though. Therefore I am going to Copenhagen (capital of Denmark) to talk to a hair transplant surgeon where me and him together can determine whether or not I should start using Propecia in order to stop any further hair loss. However I am very scared of possible of side effects because whenever I read something online it just says how terrible the side effects of Propecia can be. Have any of you guys taken Propecia? And have you experienced any side effects? I have attached some pictures so you guys can see where I am currently at with my hair loss.
  14. Hello everyone I am a 20-year-old guy from Denmark who suffers from early male pattern baldness which is why I am going to have a consultation with a hair transplant doctor in Denmark for him to determine whether or not I should start using Finasteride/and or Minoxidil to prevent any further hair loss. If I do not experience any further hair loss after taking the medication for 1-2 years would I at that time be able to have a hair transplant in order to recreate my hair line? And what doctors in EU would be the most qualified? The price does not matter too much. Thank you in advance everyone!
  15. Hello all Thank you for your help - I very much appreciate it. I have written to all of the Belgium doctors who this sites recommend asking them what they think I should do. If I were to have a hair transplant in the future what doctor would be the most qualified to create a new, natural hair line? I have just seen so many hair transplant where the hair line does not look natural and I definitely do not want that if I ever were to have a hair transplant my self. Best wishes Mathias
