  1. Why oh why. That scar is definitely something you should discuss with top docs. Get multiple consults from docs that have a strong background with scar reductions. Try getting some consults with Dr Konior, even Dr Bisanga, Dr Lindsey, Dr Wong, to start off. It’s great to get multiple opinions.
  2. You have a lot of native hair there. Id star with 1500 and see how it grows or if you end up with permanent shockloss and then go from there. Dont do it all at once since you have lots native hair there. If you were completely bald, then id suggest a higher number. With transplants, i thnk it is reasonable to start slow and steady and do smaller procedures to be on the safer side. What are you inclining towards, fut or fue? Are you on a med regimen? Finasteride + rogaine? If anything try meds first before you even try surgery. Surgery should be a last resort. You do not want to become a repair case.
  3. Great results, esp considering finer hairs. Gaurantee no one is making eye contact with his hairline now. Most probably his eyes only. Can’t say the same for myself but can’t turn back time. Doctor, have you had any patients that came to get a repair done from you that you can share? Especially, those from other well known docs or repair docs? Fantastic work Dr Lindsey.
  4. Based on thos photos, It is clearly not a scarless procedure. Your sharing is critical. I would suggest filing complaint with the FTC with your photos stating it is not scarless and not as marketed at the time of your procedure, thus causing you harm. I would also file with the FDA. Any person that has been harmed by any device should file.
  5. Completely agree Speegs. I havent seen a wow Artas result yet. Most patients do not post. I have spoken to a few that were unhappy with the results.
  6. Dr Lindsey, it is great seeing your repairs. I wish I am able to move forward and have some peace sometime soon. Really wish someone could help figure this out somehow. Never did I imagine facing what I face after serving overseas as a Marine. Seeing videos like this give folks hope. Thank you for repairing folks successfully and sharing such videos.
  7. Dr Bisanga seems like a great surgeon imo. His work and ethics seem top notch. You do not seem to have much loss but if you are planning in filling it in, then up to 1500 grafts would be a safe start as long as you get good groupings of hairs based on your donor density imo. Could be less. I wouldnt go past that esp considering you have a lot of native hair. Did you get any recommendations from him? Best thing is to try to keep the surgery short so your grafts are not out of body for a long time. Try to meet some patients with similar loss and goals if you can. Best of luck.
  8. Very good question. Yes, DR Keser has an amazing protocol. Doing it in bits and pieces and hence why the yield is decent imo. Limiting graft damage due out of body extracted graft timings and using a MANUAL tool that many docs cant even master or consider.
  9. Imo, FUT it all the way till you can. If you cant get FUE by a surgeon who does all the work in bits and pieces using only MANUAL punch then consider the other option. This is from someone who has had a lot of experience with FUE. It can become a nightmare and leave your donor jacked up with halos. Esp with surgeons that are wreckless with the extraction process, patterns, and unnecessary use of higher number of grafts, their surgical protocols, etc.. Do not risk yourself or your donor zone. Look at all the pluses and minuses and evaluate very carefully. Starting to think it isnt that straightforward as it seems. Best of luck.
  10. IMO, im starting to think the Best surgeon for FUE is the one that has been doing it for many years MANUALLY and DOES the surgical parts of surgery INCLUDING extractions. And to do such surgeries in small amounts pacing it. Wish i could turn back time. Im starting to think some folks think its a game but dont give a fuck if someones life is ruined. At the end of the day, i don't understand how some doctors can eat and sleep normal when you damage scalp tissue and fully aware shit does not look right on the patients head. You should meet honest FUE patients in person(those that do not heavily market a surgeon nor have any financial or discount based incentives for their surgeries), where are you located? It is the best tool to learn. Reach out to patients that may be willing to meet up. Best of luck and be careful.
  11. Dr Wong may very well be the best FUT surgeon in Canada. Im starting to think that. Amazing yield for the number of grafts. Safe and efficient use of grafts for the patient. You are blessed. Some folks wish their results were at least half as good as yours.
  12. Quick questions regarding your pricing. The rate we see on your website, isnt that in Canadian dollars. So, when I had a buddy go to your consult. The rate was told was to be paid in US dollars. Aside from that, he mentioned there were no travel discounts offerred. It also mentions taxes are not included on website graft total cost estimator. Reason I ask is, Dr Rahal allows you to pay in Canadian via bank transfer regardless if you are US and Canadian. You also get a travel discount for out of country or extended distances. Usually the price is also all inclusive with no tax i think. For US customers I think, not sure for Canadian customers. Questions I wanted to ask- Does the customer pay in Canadian regardless of where they are from? Are there any travel discounts and incentives for out of range customers? Is the price inclusive of tax? If not, how much is the tax? Do patients get any possible discounts for sharing photos? Are there any discounts for short notice cancellations? Thank You.
  13. Planning on postingtupdate soon to get feedback on quality of work via ugraft. Right now, not at the density as discussed but hoping things turn around to better frame and proper density. hopefully, it is a showcase as discussed and expected.
  14. Note sure what is meant by behind the curve, however, you would probably not see a very substantial growth difference after the 8 month mark that can remedy your goal and concern IMO. I am sire others can chime in on this. Talk with the doc again about a possible remedy or something. I know the feeling really well. Keep your head up man. Talk to real patients and multiple docs at this point to get feedback. They may point you in the right direction.
  15. Not sure if any Canadian surgeons touch beard hair as a FUE resource. Have you looked into Dr Bisanga? Dr Lupanzula? Dr Diep? It is good to get multiple consults.
  16. Manual punch is the way to go esp with a highly experienced surgeon.. IMO, Motorized punches nor ARTAS come close to it. There are other variables there too. I think there is a reason Hasson & Wong use a manual punch. There is probably a reason why some docs dropped ARTAS and do not touch other motorized tools. Also, make sure that the surgeon does the critical parts of surgery, including Extraction.
  17. I think a second FUT will be good if you want to take a shot at reducing the scar. If your donor density is low, FUE may not be the best track imo. Be careful with body hair, there could be yield issues. I think for best viable grafts, a fut will be better. FUE extraction may be hit or miss while FUT you pretty much can get healthier grafts via slithering. This is because a surgeon is not extracting blind, they are getting grafts froma strip. Take a look at all your options and what you are comfortable with. Best of luck.
  18. Gatsu, Big congrats buddy. The framing looks on point and looks great. Would love to see your updates as time goes on. Im glad you were able to proceed and i wish you the best.
  19. This is concerning. See of the surgeon offers anything because i am having a hard time seeing a distinct difference between the two pics. Thank you for sharing this result. You should also get some consults and see what other docs think and if they can remedy the area. Dr Wong is a great surgeon and i think he does one of the best whorl designs for the crown. It may be worthwhile getting a second opinion too. If you plan on doing nothing, have you tried toppik? It may help conceal the crown well. How long was the procedure? Do you have grouping details of grafts? 1s 2s 3s? Best of luck with everything
  20. If you do not have thick wavy course hair, then do consider FUT after more research. But be careful, if you have native hairs that other grafts will be planted in and around, you can end up with shockloss too. Overall, research more though and ask good questions to surgeons in writing. There are some great questions to ask surgeons on this forum posted by Spex. But carefully plan man, are you ok with coming back for touchups or looking for a one and done dense result? Is your goal to have a dense and full front with proper framing? Best of luck with everything.
  21. What was the goal of this transplant as mentioned to the surgeon? Is this your first procedure? 6 months you should see some sprouts and growth. Definitely mention the concern to surgeon and document. If it doesnt change within next two months at all, then then see what could be done. Wish you the best and good luck.
  22. What are your needs? Fut or Fue? How big is the procedure and is it for hairlines or other sections of scalp?
  23. If pitting exists few months down the line, then id be concerned but you are like 2 days post op. Too early to tell. Let everything heal and wait, if it concerns you, message doc to see if the current state is normal.
  24. Consider all options. Even if you need to travel outside us. If not, it is a tough call. how many grafts donyou need? Are you a small case or a large fue case?
  25. Hold off on beard hair or any other hairs. I am a case pending. I dont know how it will turn out but i can tell you from my experience if it went ok.
