  1. Who was the doctor? It sounds like intimidation to stall med records. You have a right to med records. I hope you get this bs resolved. FTC complaint should also be considered for marketing fraud. Did you get any bht or nape or beard hairs with fue or all scalp donor used?
  2. FUT may not be a bad option. It will probably maximize donor. You do not want any donor damage. Think it through, take it nice and slow. Wish you the best.
  3. How is growth now? Any changes? Good luck. Wish you the best.
  4. Impressive outcome here. When you say manual punch is it completely manual or is it motorized? How long did the procedure take. Looks like a one and done procedure.
  5. Your a good candidate but be weary of what you want and what can be done. Like you, I understand the importance of office job and people interaction that would limit certain haircuts/situations. If things go awry, and if you become a repair patient then imagine chasing repairs while at work and how it can destroy a lot of things. Think this through thoroughly and ask plenty of good questions and get answers from the clinics you pick in writing. I do not represent any clinic and i can even help derive some good questions to ask via skype, even meet if need be locally.
  6. Have you spoken to the doc about that and if he thinks it is cobblestoning? I cant tell but are there hairs sprouting from those areas of concern?
  7. Your hairline was designed really well. It frames your face perfectly. What a big difference overall. The doctor did a great job.
  8. At this point, the only thing I can do is dream. I see folks with great results and great yields, most with less grafts used, most not harmed to the point things may be detrimental. Things done with great care and expertise. Your doc did a great job. It is great to see some folks move forward and be happy and really enjoy life with their hair. To see these folks be able to function and not have issues or stares at the hair or snide comments in person or etc. Happy to see folks not become repair patients and struggle. For now, I can only dream. Your looking good man. Your dream is definitely a reality. Continue to share good info. I enjoy reading your posts. Thank you
  9. Excellent questions to start off. I'll also add a few points... Ask how long have you used the surgical tool for this particular procedure? Meaning if it is SAFE punch or blunt punch or ARTAS or Motorized Punch or whatever extraction device, when did you first start using it and how many months experience with it and if possible how many surgeries with it. Also, see if they let you see the actual surgical consent forms as some docs allow this at this stage and not put it in your face on the day of surgery. Prior to deposit, they should show what they want you to consent to before taking your deposit money. Ask if they have any real patients that are willing to meet you with similar hairloss level as you. Ask if they had failed cases and if they can name any in forums that you can look at. Be totally blunt with your questioning and be safe. Wish you best of luck.
  10. Hope you get more density within the next two months. Thanks for sharing. All you can do is wait for now. Good luck!
  11. Ok, hopefully this doc doesn't change this 15 month timeline. It is good it isn't a bullshit 18 month or 24 month timeline. I personally do not think there is a chance of 'new' and substantial growth after 8-9 months. Maybe a little hair maturing here and there. Regardless some of these long timelines are such ridiculous wastes of time. I really hope this doc helps you at that 15 month mark. Since the doc agrees and recognizes a problem. Remember, there are measures you can take via feds if you do not get a resolution. This includes state med boards and other venues. For other venues, you may need a list of some businesses online that may have shown something. Can direct you to how to proceed with multiple things later on if there is an issue. For now, take care of yourself and all you can do is wait till the 15 month mark to see what miracle occurs. Good luck.
  12. Im a member of multiple forums. I can say one thing, HTN seems to be the more active forum. Not all forums allow private messaging. A lot of folks post and pm. If i compare it to BTT, then there seems to be more movement here. BTT does not allow pms and it seems the way the forum rules are set up, it prevents a lot of freedom I think. When folks dont have freedom, they tend to be more active on areas they do. A lot of feedback happens on HTN, HLT, HLH, but Hairsite with the revamped design seems to be getting user participation too. The more transparant and honest a forum is, the safer things are for everyone. The more compliant and legal a business is when it comes to Federal laws probably. The one thing this forum needs is a blog or show. every forum ahould have a radio show or online video show. Thats my recommendation and to keep it transparant. Allow users to express complete discontent without pushback and etc. that would be a very successful model. It is something to think about. Transparency is the key to user base and success, always remember that. A lot of folks observe and are one step ahead and realize what goes on. Keep the rules lax and keep transparency high.
  13. Sorry to hear that. Basically, you are at 5 months. If you feel 20-40 % growth in total/less, then i really hope you have some more growth this month to help turn things around. You do make a point on out of body times, http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/167711-hair-graft-survival-out-body.html . Keep a good record of your monthly pics and right now all you can do is keep an eye on it. Some docs make you wait 12 months or more to before they say they can judge your result. I wish you the best.
  14. That is good to hear. Few docs even admit when they refund a patient and to own up to it and provide an explanation versus a gag order of what some other docs may do, seems like a really good way to handle the situation. Very big on the doc to come forward and provide a resolution for the patient. Good job. Hope both parties can move forward after all this.
  15. Yes, that pic helps and the answer remains the same. It did not make a significant cosmetic change in appearance, almost the same as before. Definitely run it by the surgeon. $14,000 for 3000 grafts? Thats like $4.67 per graft FUE. What was the fue extraction tool used? Motorized punch? Artas?
  16. Based on those photos, it is hard to see where 3000 grafts went. Cant even tell without post op photos. How does your donor area look? Any halo or thinning as a result of extractions? I think by 12 month mark it kind of seals the deal with new graft growth. you should at least see where growth is headed by month 8. Hope it turns around for you. Keep an eye on it. Have you reached out to the recommended surgeon and raised your concerns?
  17. Based on those recent pics, Man I hope you get this sorted. A thing with most phone pics is they tend to add pixelation or blur so it may enhance the result artificially. If you are at 12 months, then not sure as to what could change to give you an added boost with the grafts you already had placed in the months ahead. I think most folks can agree that much more filling will be needed to enhance the current situation. I really hope you get this sorted, and, with a recommended surgeon, I do not see why you wont be able to. Best of luck to you.
  18. Dr Feller, it seems there are doctors not informing them of the damage caused by FUE thus liable for uninformed consent. They may make you sign a paper but this info helps. That heavy megasessions in FUE carries way more damage then FUT. if doctors would disclose this, rather then say their FUT matches their FUE to confuse a patient then that is just unethical and wrong. You don't see these fine details on some surgical consents nor are they discussed in detail. I really am really thinking that megasessions are better with strip. It is not fair what im going through and i am hoping there is something that could give me some peace soon. I am hoping if things do not look by November, that there is hope somewhere. Also, is it illegal for a doc to talk any detail about their patient to another patient or anyone without their approval? I am not aware if HIPPA regulates this. That's my fear too, when you get a strip taken out of fued out area, then the shockloss and healing variable changes. Do you have any cases of repairing FUE with strip or mFUE you can share in the future? Thanks for your input.
  19. A little more information on anesthesia: Hair Loss and Anesthesia - Chicago - Telogen Effluvium I can see the concern in the outdoor shot, but one with sunlight may help see how people see it on a typical sunny day. Did you bring up the concern to the surgeon? Any feedback?
  20. Be very careful and if hair plant looks unnatural, you will have a lot of eyes stare at you. Review surgical consent forms, ask a lot of questions, find real patients willing to meet in person. Approach it cautiously. Hope your goals are understood and addressed by a competent surgeon that does things ethically and safely for a patient.
  21. 3000 but be careful with the crown. You got tons of native hairs there. It may shock more hairs in that area. Approach this cautiously and please share if you go through with the procedure. It helps a lot of folks. Good luck and i hope your goals are answered.
  22. It could be the placement and quality of grafts that were placed there. You were given information about groupings and grafts so it is confusing. It could be the type of anestesia used and how much. Many factors can cause it. But since your hair grew before, it probably isn't your physiology. Get this sorted with the surgeon and report back of what happened. It helps a lot of folks. Yield here isn't on point. Do you hve any outdoor shots in the sun?
  23. It depends. If the hair transplant job was unethical and shitty, you may need to deal with nanogen and toppik and other stuff to add fake density if you can. Otherwise, you will have eyes stare at your scalp. Good luck.
  24. I can see that front layer that does not transition well when you have your hairline showing. It makes a see through effect. At 9 months that looks like it probably isnt going to get any better. Def review this with the doc that worked on you. Im hoping things get better for you and you get some solution. I can relate and hoping all goes well.
  25. -Straight up ask to see the actual surgical consent forms prior to putting down any deposit. -Some Surgeons may say anything behind closed doors to get you in the chair. Just be very cautious. -Ask them in writing what they offer if the surgery goes bad? This is important, free repair ir full refund or what. -Ask them to have only the longest member of surgerical team in the room for your procedure. That means no rotating or visiting techs. -Ask them if you are the only confirmed scheduled surgery for the day or is the doc working on multiple patients. You do not want a tired doctor. -Ask them to know their surgical protocol, who does what and who does surgical aspects of surgery including extractions. Lot more, i can keep going. Pm me if you got questions, ill even skype if need be. Overall, be really careful with this surgery. Trust me on that.
