  1. Also, you want to look at how some docs comb their patients hair in videos and pics. They may try to comb preexisting hair with recipient hair to maximize the look of their work. Be very very wary. There are even docs that may have their results look more impressive due to hair concealers applied. Look at the quality of the pics too. What is so crazy is that some docs will even say their FUT matches their FUE. It is deception at its finest. If their procedure goes downhill,, they may make you sign papers to try to shift any responsilities away from them after theyve done harm that could be more damaging long term that no one stated. Or the only way they may help is if you sign papers as if nothing happened. Hypothetically speaking, Imagine a rape victim, having to sign a piece of paper that you must not hold the rapist responsible even though he or she did rape you and they will pay less for you to get help instead or some stuff. Wouldn't that be ludicrous, wouldn't it? It may cause harm that may be long lasting and you may need different routes to get help. Protect yourself and keep surgery as a last resort. You do not want to chase repairs. Right now, I can say there are a lot of things to be upset about. I do not know what the future holds right now and if anything will ever be better. Only time can tell. So just be careful and try to make the best steps. Both procedures have their place. Best of luck.
  2. definitely analyze the surgical protocol of the clinics you shortlist. Who is doing the surgical aspects of the procedure and what tools are being used. If they are using new tools, they should have couple experience with them or at leadt some time to get comfortable with the tools. This industry is dangerous, so definitely choose wisely. Dr Konior, Dr Gabel are great. Dr Feller/Dr Bloxham also putting out good results. Best of luck.
  3. Definitely try meds if doctor presribes and if your body can tolerate them. Do that as a first step. Do not jump into surgery with all that native hair, esp fue. Very few docs can probably nail it. Evaluate a surgeons surgical protocol and be very very careful. You do not want to be a repair patient that is chasing repairs. You do mot want to be damaged. I cant stress that enough. Exercise, eat healthy, and think about surgery later if you need to as a last resort. Be very wary of marketers and promotors. Have everything in writing with the doc. Definitely ask to see their surgical consent forms they make you sign day of surgery, each and every page, before you put down any deposit. Good luck with the meds.
  4. Wow, pretty impressive. FUE result looks pretty solid. I can see the touch up concern on right side but would you need 500 grafts for that area? Definitely smart to pace it out. Overall, hairline isnt see through result and you are rightfully pleased. Were the extractions all done by the doctor? What density was the placement in recipient zone? Was the extraction tool used motorized or completely manual?
  5. Dr Erdogan's quote for 2400 grafts for the temporal areas is definitely overkill. That is way too much. I do not understand these large graft estimated and quotations by that clinic versus surface area. Seems like manual nonmotorized extractions and smaller procecudure with limited graft extractions per day worked for you before?. In this case with Dr Erdogan, is the tool motorized? Is all 2400 grafts to be extracted in a one day procedure? Make sure the protocol is the same as it suited you before. Do not risk outliers. Dr Keser should at least offer to work to design temples you seek for you. One thing I do not understand is, from what I was told across several forums, he mostly takes virgin scalps and is mot known to take repair patients. How far forward are you planning to bring those temples based on the pics you posted? Temples definitely frame results better but be careful as to what type and design. Some docs do C shape, some V shape, some l shape.
  6. Subjective indeed. For FUE, there are only a few. HSRP nailed it.
  7. Good stuff Ernie. Wish you the best. You made the right call with the surgery type. I am so happy for you. By the end of the year, you can sit back and relax, enjoy the beaches.
  8. The yield is phenomenal. Very happy for you. I just wish some docs can learn to deliver like this. Slow and steady seems to be a good approach. Noce and dense, and i dont see any see through issue here. You are a very lucky guy and this was definitely a success. Congrats
  9. Not only should FUE prices be in the average range, but the doctor should perform the surgical aspects of surgery, not techs or nurses. $12 is a lot. Ive heard of $4 through $8 followers for US for most part. Euro, it can be cheaper. Asian countries even much cheaper. India, also well priced. But definitely ask a doctor of their surgical protocol before you step in the chair. A doctor whose brand your interested in and one that is marketed online, should be the one that is active in your surgery. Best of luck.
  10. Hairloss seems to be headed in advance direction. If docs agree, try meds to sustain or possibly regrow hairs. Need to at least try meds for a year to see full benefits. If you do surgery, approach nice and slow. Avoid mega sessions and since you are close to Turkey, if you decide FUE, id definitely think you should speak to Dr Keser due to his surgical protocol. overall, be very very careful with your surgical plan. Any questions, feel free to PM. Best of luck.
  11. Look at the density with 2300 grafts! Well done! Seeing these types of results, you feel great about the patient that they were in the right hands. I know folks with such levels of hair loss or less loss, where some other surgeons used more than 4400 grafts and couldnt even pull such a result and damaged the patients more. Definitely a great job.
  12. Chaudry, Do not rush into it. Your life can end up being more miserable and requiring multiple repairs or you chasing repairs. Talk to a doctor, and if it suits you, try medication first. Whether it is rogaine or finasteride or a combination of both and re-evaluate yourself after a year. If you take such routes, you need to see effects of meds for at least a year of use, granted if you have no side effects. If you have great success with meds, that is great. If you later consider surgery, evaluate options carefully. Examine a surgeons surgical protocol and ethics. Make sure the doctor, he/she does the surgical aspects of surgery. Mujse puch lena agar koi sawal ho yaar. I can't stress how important it is to consider surgery as a last option right now. Do not get in that chair within a few weeks like you were thinking to. Everything is not clear and dandy like things are presented by tv or websites or some marketing reps. For some levels of hairloss, you might have to take different approaches. Ive known folks with lower levels of loss that also got screwed and goals were not met. Just approach this very carefully. It can be quite damaging and you do want to chase repairs or realize the detrimental impacts later. Right now, eat healthy. Stay in shape. Most importantly, enjoy life. Trust me, as there are some folks can't really do that anymore and regret such decisions. Feel free to ask as many questions you may have. Call or skype and meet folks in person if you have to. Pm karlo. Best wishes.
  13. Some docs claim 65cm2 but they can end up damaging density if transplanted into native areas. Imo- density placement It is all dependent on hair caliber and texture to determine what can be done. Proper tools need to be used too. Proper staff need to be used. Techs and nurses should not perform actions that are deemed surgery. The industry is dangerous, handful of docs are patient caring and ethicc cautious. Thats the truth. This goes for docs that are part of some online organizations. Some lie to get you comfortable with the procedure or in their hands by making bogus claims. Be careful, imo manual extractions are probably better in the right hands.
  14. Impressive. There is no see through front there. This is great density. In some hands, folks that even get 2300+ grafts in such zones and yet look see through and need multiple repairs. This is great work and doc did a great job.
  15. Bill nailed it. Great advice. I agree with the posters above.
  16. Thats diffuse loss and id be really careful with having 4000 grafts placed in between native hairs liek that. You can turn out worse then what you have right now if done wrong and dense packed into such zones. You can end up with both permanent shockloss in native and donor zones. Best advice would be to reconsider, hold off until loss is more progressed, try meds under doc supervision. Best would be to not do anything at all but seriously reconsider. Yoi do mot want to chase repairs and lose valuable time and endure physical damage and harm. Best of luck.
  17. Average price is $6-$8. Sometimes you can negotiate based on x number of grafts. The more grafts, the more leverage with negotiation. Sometimes docs provide discounts if you allow them to use photos even by blocking your face. Hairlines and for FUE, Dr Baubac, Dr Konior, etc... If you are looking for best price overall, Dr Vories I think offers one of the greater rates. If you want to take advantage of great exchange rate pricing, even Hasson & Wong is good. There are a couple more to choose from but its best to get consults from multiple docs to see what you need. Regardless of who you go with, definitely evaluate all their surgical protocols. Good Luck.
  18. Dr Keser is up there. Probably has one of the best surgical protocols. More doctor interaction vs techs. He limits grafts extractions to few hundred a day to maximize yield.
  19. I could have sworn I replied to this question before. Do you have two threads for this topic? I'd say meds for a year and delay transplant at least another 2 years to see how you progress. Good luck. Surgery is no joke, make the best move for yourself and your safety.
  20. 3000 grafts still seems a lot for just frontal area, esp since native hairs exist. Best way is when theose finer hairs shed and are gone, then a graft should be pkanted. Esp the crown, let that area glissen skin lecel before you hammer that area with grafts. Shockloss can destroy native and even transplanted hairs. If you are considering FUE, have you also considered also getting a consult with Dr Lupanzula? Theres also Dr Keser in Turkey who actually also does true manual. This surgery is no joke and should be done with proper surgical protocol. You do not want to chase transplants later nor ruin your life. Best of luck, but Id get several more opinions before jumping on this.
  21. This is a tough situation. What is the name of the company that bought em out? They should be named as well. Have you reached out to any of the surgeons from this site to get a opinion? Hard part is to get enough grafts to fix it and get coverage. You may need to use hairs from other parts of the body or even mix it up with smp. Good luck, wish you the best.
  22. Aren't body hairs impacted by finasteride though? Finasteride causes that particular type of hair + beard hairs to shed and fall? Some docs advise to no longer take finasteride if bht and beard hair ar transplanted. Is this true Dr. Josephitus?
  23. I see a lot of loss in midscalp towards crown in that pic. Do you have pics showing front? Id approach this carefully and stick to two procedures at least FUT. do not do a one and done megasession. Scar may heal well bit no one can predict it. It can turn out and be the opposite. My advice would be to start doing some scalp stretching exercises and reach out to numerous docs for opinions in graft counts based on your goals. You may need to travel. For this type of hairloss, there are some FUT surgeons that can handle it better. Reach out to Dr Konior, Dr Blake Bloxham, Dr Gabel also and see what they say.
