  1. The number of grafts on this is certainly impressive. I dont recall seeing anything like it before. Because it is such a special case, I would expect much much better documentation. Most of the photos have the resolution, literally, of my cell phone (flip phone), back in 2005. I am glad the pt is happy tho. Congrats to him.
  2. IMO: 1. Communication: Unrealistic expectations, hairline not where its expected, density not what expected, timeline not what expected, etc. Most unhappy patients I see that are unhappy are due to communication. 2. Bad protocol: the doc, techs, and/or cutters stuck. Hairline too low or high, artistry is bad, grafts extracted too low or high. Any one bad thing will kill a procedure. 3. Lack of medication: unstable hair loss and no medication can cause a pt to chase hair as fast as they can put it in. 4. The rest: Factor X, post op care, etc do happen, but I think they are generally follow these three IMO.
  3. There is not reason to believe that the scalp folds are from weight or the turban. Tons of people wear turbans that do not have this. The folds are from a condition called cutis verticis grata. Nice case tho.
  4. Definitely a brutal scar and that is a big area for 2500 grafts. Good luck. I'll follow your case.
  5. That looks pretty bad. Sorry. Do you wear your hair forward? The rest of your hair looks to be pretty good, I would not suggest redesigning the hairline. I think a well placed 1700 grafts should sort you out. I would get a reputable doc for sure. You dont want to go through this twice. Do you wear your hair forward?
  6. Pretty sparse result IMO. However, this could be a problem with communication and plan and not yield. That initial area is very large for less than 1800 grafts.
  7. Fozzie said it all. Personally, I think it's a must for lower NW levels, especially when they are in their 30s or younger. But a lot of people get them without it. You have to be more conservative about your expectations though.
  8. Great result. Unfortunately, it reminds me that most people are markedly more handsome with hair.
  9. You picked a great doc. Pics along with your story would be helpful to others suffering a similar fate. Glad you found Dr Cooley
  10. It would be nice to see pics for opinions on it, but really, your lawyer is who you should ask this question to, not a hair forum.
  11. I really like the case. Long way for the grafts. I would like to see some immediate post ops from Dr. Wesley, I dont recall seeing them, altho they have very well may have been posted.
  12. I have seen nothing and see no reason to believe so. I think with either you make be slightly more likely to be found to have advanced prostate cancer because finasteride drops your PSA. So your primary care provider should know that you are on fin or dut. I advise that individuals also know, understand, and monitor their PSA. There is a formula that I dont know off my head that you use based on the years you have been on fin to monitor what your PSA should be.
  13. Nobody us going to go to your album. You need to post the pics. Right now we have no idea where you are at or what your bump means.
  14. He hijacked the thread. That is not him at the beginning of this thread.
  15. You need workers in your entire frontal 3rd and I dont believ that 3000 grafts would be out of line.
  16. I went to a non hair related work conference this past weekend and noticed AT LEAST 4 people who had had work. 1 old plugs with large dot scarring 1 who shaved to about a 1 with FUT scarring and top was very sparse but wasn't surgical looking. 1 FUT with a good scar, but was ultimately the give away shaved to about a 3 in the donor. This lead to a hairline inspection that was somewhat surgical. 1 guy that I've been seeing for a few years and I am unsure of his extraction but he is a case that was transplanted way too low and has sparse coverage over a NW1 area when he is at least a NW6. Plus me made 5, plus the people who have had excellent work that I didnt spot, and that is quite a few. Probably 250 men there. While that's not a high percentage I didn't talk to everyone, nor was I looking for hair work, so it's interesting to see so much work in one spot. Maybe I'm traveling in older circles or more people are having work done.
  17. Any of the docs that do great fue can do this. Post pics, age, and medication status for better opinions than that.
  18. I dont know that I have ever seen anyone not eventually bounce back that didn't have necrosis, however, I can sympathize with your anxiety. That's a pretty solid case of shock. I feel confident that you will bounce back.
