  1. I’ve read reports online of people claiming issues like increase in oilyness, acne, etc. it kind of makes sense since you’re altering your hormonal profile thru taking fin. Until your body reaches a new equilibrium with the drug you’ll likely face some of these issues. Take all of this with a grain of salt however as I’m not a doctor and I’d recommend you run these questions by a qualified doctor/derm
  2. Minoxidil works through an entirely different mechanism than dutasteride for hair loss. Minoxidil stimulates growth, keep Hairs in anagen longer, and also acts on some “unknown” levels. Dutasteride inhibits 5alpha reductase which lowers dht as a result. If you have benefitted from minoxidil and u drop it then u will lose whatever gains it gave you. id research topical dutasteride more. I’m not entirely convinced it is not absorbed in your blood stream (albeit probably absorbed at lower levels than when taken orally).
  3. Spanker great post, I couldn’t agree more. Another thing I hate that a few unnamed clinics do on this site is not use the same backdrop for the before and afters. I don’t understand why this concept is so hard to understand
  4. Dr. Umar was the only surgeon that that I met that charged me money for a consultation.
  5. Results look good. Few questions 1. Which punch size was used? Manual or motorized tools? 2. Why was grafting mainly done on the occipital region? 3. Is the patient on any treatments? 4. Were the 2800 grafts done in a single day?
  6. Wow u did it very soon bro. Seemed like u were talking about it very recently. Are you going to make a thread explaining your surgery, grafts, etc? 80 micron is very thick from my understanding. Id follow their instructions. They’ve been doing it for years so they know what to expect
  7. Wow 😮 that’s all I can say I’ve seen dr umars body hair transplant results that he posts frequently on forums and this looks a lot more natural (although the pics aren’t that great). The patients hair characteristics might also play a role too. are there more clear photos of the beard? I’m curious as to what it looks like close up with so many grafts
  8. Dang I think this is going to be a homerun especially with your donor characteristics when did u first start noticing sprouts? which package did u choose? The one where a tech does incisions or the doctor?
  9. Looks like solid work. I like the hairline design and reinforcement of the temple points
  10. I think you’re going to be quite happy. Gabel seems like an honest surgeon. You can always add more down the line if you wish or if your hair loss doesn’t progress through the years but if u go too aggressive there’s no turning back the clock. I think you chose the most reasonable option given your scenario bro
  11. Fantastic Luke. Thank you for coming back and helping answer questions and sharing your results
  12. Wow is that really 3 months post op? When did u start seeing sprouts develop?
  13. For the record I don’t think your fut scar looks bad
  14. This. I’d explain to the doc that u need these specific tests for a surgery and see if they would accommodate
  15. Not sure really. Id guess it might be scabbing material from your surgery that hasn’t been scrubbed off well as you might have been too gentle (totally understandable I kind of did the same), a scalp condition such as seb derm/dandruff, or possibly dry scalp which I hear is somewhat common temporarily after a procedure. in any case I’d contact your doctor and send him/her your pics
  16. My post op instructions said helmets like a motorcycle helmet etc could be used one month after surgery. I’d agree with pkipling however and run it by ur doctor first
  17. I wish we could all be as manly and cool as u. I didn’t know Jason statham was on this website. Certified badass
  18. Thanks for the response. Yeah, I wasn’t purposely targeting the nearby miniaturized hairs they just happened to get caught up in the tweezers with the dead telogen hairs I was trying to remove. Great example by the way, really puts it in perspective.
  19. I Cancelled my consult. Yes I did talk to James and he was great compared to Aaron. At that time I was close to already setting up a surgery date with another doctor. But honestly Aaron’s actions painted a big negative pic for me from the start. Secondly I didn’t like the fact that they wanted to do a Skype call with a patient coordinator and not the doc himself to review my hair loss with me. my complaint isn’t about rahal directly and I can’t speak about his work. But that Aaron guy... jeez...seemed like they brought him directly from a Filipino call center to do this job
  20. Poor OP, his thread got hijacked into oblivion while the poor guy is trying to share his story with us. hey OP...I’m here for ya, checking your updates. Looks good bro, keep the updates coming
