Looking for feedback & suggestions on clinics
LonelyGraft replied to Jarrod.S's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
What’s up with the huge influx of GET YOUR HT IN INDIA posts? anyway, op, I’m no expert but I think 4000 should be enough for your frontal third and midscalp with a nice conservative hairline. Your crown would likely be left as is. I’d ask the clinics to give you a breakdown of the areas that will be treated with the grafts they suggest. -
Surgeon For Black American/Caribbean hair
LonelyGraft replied to CannonScott's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I think since you want fut then that will open up your options. I think there are more doctors that can work with African American hair with fut since the strip will be dissected under magnification vs fue where it is blindly punched. From what I’ve read, fue requires certain skill as black hair has a strong curl under the skin. have you thought about doctors abroad? Ones like bisanga or mwamba in Belgium come to mind. Good luck -
Planning for hair transplant in India/Turkey

I think all these people saw OPs name is of Indian origin and all jumped in to try and persuade him to go to their Indian clinic of choice. -
what to do with overharvested DONOR area
LonelyGraft replied to anonsara's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I believe those are the main two options (others can correct me if I’m wrong). I’ve seen pics of smp done on scars and to add density and it looks decent. I think just like hair transplants you need to find someone that is good at smp and has ethics and won’t try to oversell u on it. To be honest I’m not that well versed on smp and if there are any negative health consequences. ive seen some surgeons try to “homogenize” donor areas where they target specific areas of the donor so everything looks more even while still adding hair to other areas. who was your surgeon by the way? -
How Did You Guys Deal With Hair Loss Psychologically?
LonelyGraft replied to Melvin- Admin's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
I couldn’t agree more with many of your statements. I feel the same way regarding my 20s and now a good portion of my 30s. It definitely hit home when you described losing hair as a teen. I went through that too and that feeling of helplessness as a high school student losing hair cannot be described. -
One man's journey to a full head of hair with Dr Konior
LonelyGraft replied to nick1111's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Your scar looks great. I don’t think konior would steer you wrong. The waiting game sucks as I’m going thru the same thing and we r roughly both on the same time frame since surgery -
Hanging Upside Down vs Minoxi
LonelyGraft replied to redarmy's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Educated opinion? Ok let’s think about this logically. Modern studies have determined the root cause of hair loss to be a persons individual susceptibility to dht based on their genetics. Other issues recently identified by scientists has been prostaglandins. Now...how would hanging upside down address these issues? Can it lower dht?...no. Can it decrease pgd2?...no you argue that minoxidil increases blood to the scalp and that’s how it maintains hair. Ok I’ll bite, show me a study that proves this. To this day scientists do not know 100% why minoxidil works and why it forces hairs to stay in anagen longer. If you are serious about trying to stop your hair loss I’d not look towards towards treatments like hanging upside down. Finasteride, minoxidil, ketoconazole shampoo, safe topical anti androgens, etc are proven treatments. -

hair transplant Dr Cinik - 4300 Grafts - Results & Progress
LonelyGraft replied to superflash's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Great progress, you look super youthful. What does your family think? -
Less harsh than nizoral? Revivogens main product line is a topical solution meant to be applied daily that has supposed dht inhibiting and growth stimulatant abilities. The shampoo is just an adjunct to the main topical therapy.

Graft Survival Indicators?
LonelyGraft replied to LordBaldwin's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Catagen then to telogen while being pushed out and the DP moves away from the hair. There’s really no way of telling what’s going on under the skin. Maybe your doc knows? -
Hey bill im not sure why you’re overly focused on my post as it had nothing to do with the doctor or the results. You brought it up twice in one post so it seems to have made you somewhat heated. I apologize if it came off as “baiting.” The post was meant to add some humor as the whole Melvin and PD interactions seem to all follow a certain trend. If I have broken any forum rules please let me know.

Graft Survival Indicators?
LonelyGraft replied to LordBaldwin's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I researched this a lot because I was wondering the same thing. Unfortunately I didn’t find a good answer. I’ll be subscribing to this thread to see what others say. As a note, what I learned about the “growth” of the hairs immediately following surgery, in a lot of cases is just the hair entering catagen and resulting in the hair being pushed out. For most people most of the transplanted hair will shed but for a lucky minority it can grow right after the op. -
What Traits Make A Great Hair Transplant?
LonelyGraft replied to Melvin- Admin's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
I disagree. If you read the article Melvin published it seems to focus on patient specific traits. If you don’t have ideal donor characteristics then no doctor in the world can give desired results -
Nizoral Shampoo For Hair Loss
LonelyGraft replied to Melvin- Admin's topic in Shampoos, sprays, and concealers
The studies for hair loss done on nizoral used the 2% anywhere from 2-4 times a week. The one study that used 1% had participants use it 2-3 times per week. knowing what I know now, and how harsh it can be (especially the 2%) I’d use it max 2x a week. The 1% isn’t as drying as the 2% so you might be able to get away with using it more often but I’d still be cautious. nizoral even put a claim on their site that said the medicine still remains at therapeutic levels in the scalp for 3 days following use. -
*counting down until Melvin comes into this thread and starts warning/threatening to ban pelodinero*
