  1. Hopefully the grafts were hydrated properly which is always important. I’m sure you will be fine. Send us some pictures in 3-4 months. Happy growing.
  2. Cosmo made some good points. Glad you are pleased. You’re pretty young to already have had two surgeries. Glad you went with FUE this time however.
  3. I'm sure medications may help but who really knows for sure? I've never taken any prescriptions for my hair and everything has gone very well. My first surgery was in 2012. My wife is a hairdresser and cuts my hair regularly and has seen no change in my hair in the transplanted areas or donor areas. No telling how much money I've saved in nearly 8 years and just don't like taking what may be unnecessary medications. I do however respect everyone's personal decision regarding medications.
  4. I agree...it was probably 4,000 hairs and 2,000+ grafts. That small area in question most likely will not be noticeable in a few months.
  5. Bummer on the shock-loss. It does happen but just be patient. You will see great dividends everywhere in 3-4 more months.
  6. Wonderful transformation. Thanks for sharing his journey....Melvin.
  7. If night sweats are fairly common for you I would think it is no big deal. Contact your doctor if you typically don't have these night sweats. Your grafts should be fine. If you want to see what to expect with your surgery going forward.... feel free to look at my website where I have chronicled everyday during the first few weeks after surgery. I explain what to expect each day recovering and post many before/afters. Website is posted below. Just look at my archives and go to September 2012. Keep us posted on this website with your progress. You have a lot to look forward to!
  8. You're better off just leaving them alone. Your body will naturally reabsorb them. Sometimes one could get infected but that is pretty unusual. Your doctor can advise you on that. The one you "popped" will probably recover as well. Just refrain from the temptation to squeeze them going forward. You have a lot to look forward to in about 3-4 months. Best of luck to you.
  9. Like the others have said, don't expect noticeable difference after 9 months. Could get some thickening of the hair but your appearance will be about the same. Great improvements over 9 months though. I'm sure your pleased with your pre-and post- looks. Regarding minoxidil, I'm sure it may be helpful but you have to commit to the medicine and that expense as well. I had 5,125 grafts transplanted in 2012 and 2,000 more later and have never taken any medicine related to my hair. Seven years later my wife (who is a hair dresser) can see no noticeable hair loss or change of appearance. Everyone is different....I realize. Best of luck to you. Always good and diverse advice on this website.
  10. Wow, super results. We're very happy for you. That's amazing results after only 4 months.
  11. Certainly do your homework on this website. This website is essential for researching a good doctor. Regarding your concern for scarring, If your doctor uses an appropriately small "punch size" 0.8mm for example, you will be just fine. I had my head shaved prior to my second surgery and there was, in my opinion, no discernible scarring. I apologize to many of you who have seen this photo posted many times but its still relevant today when someone asks about scarring. The area marked on my head produced about 1,750 grafts in 2012. This picture was taken about 2 years later minutes before my second surgery. You can see more pictures on my website. Best of luck to you.
  12. Congrats! You can't go wrong in Spain with Dr. Lorenzo.
  13. Listen to Melvin, pick someone on this website! Someone close to home may be handy but may not be the best for you. Spend an extra $350 and fly to the doctor your most comfortable with. That's what I did. Money well spent.
  14. My growth rate was also a bit slower after my second surgery. I think that's fairly typical for some. Looking good! Glad your pleased.... and keep growing!
  15. I had both of my surgeries with Carolina Hair Surgery and Dr. Vories. I typically don't promote him directly very often in my responses to posts, but I wanted to respond directly to the previous post.... Dr. Vories only does FUE and he charges between $4-5 per graft depending on the number. I cut/pasted this from his website. More importantly....Dr. Vories actually extracts every graft himself and places every graft himself. I had no interest in having a lengthy linear scar from FUT. Do your homework and find the doctor that you feel most comfortable with. Best of luck. You can see my results at my website, www.MyFUEhairtransplant.com
  16. I know FUT produces good results but FUE yields great results as well. I just can't imagine discussing lengthy linear scars when FUE leaves little to no discernible scarring. I've had over 7,000 FUE grafts. This picture shows my donor area after 1,750 grafts have been removed. Best of luck with your next FUT but continue to consider FUE.
  17. Great questions from Melvin and "BeHappy" in this post. Wait a while before considering another procedure. Considering the cost of surgery, spending another $350 for a plane ticket is nominal if you decide to go with another surgeon. Your donor area looks strong so I'm sure you can move more grafts. Best of luck and keep us posted down the road a bit.
  18. Thanks for posting the link to the article Melvin! I occasionally hear from some who are considering an International destination for their transplant. I know they go abroad because of the cost but I always remind them to calculate airfare, extra travel days/meals/time, etc. I remind them that there may be a language barrier and that they need to know exactly what to do pre and post surgery. I also recommend them traveling with another person just in case there's an unforeseen medical issue. More importantly, I remind them to check with their health insurance provider to see if they are covered in another country if they need medical assistance as a result of a medical procedure done by individuals without a medical license. There are so many things to consider when traveling abroad, especially for a medical procedure with the sole expectation of saving money.
  19. Great results with this repair surgery. I'm sure your patient is thrilled. Congrats Dr. Farjo.
  20. Looking forward to seeing pictures in 3-4 months. How many total grafts?
  21. Looking pretty good. I too had 5,125 grafts done in one multi-day procedure in 2012. Feel free to look at my website (below) and look in my archives and compare your current results. Keep us posted with updated photos in a couple months.
  22. I'm not sure why they didn't incorporate grafts among the hairs in the center....as well. Post some pictures when new growth begins in 3-4 months. May turn out better than you think. Good luck.
  23. It’s really difficult to predict your thinning at such a young age (24). I hope you consider to hold off on surgery for a while, save your money and think about a transplant several years from now. Start taking multiple angle pictures now and build a portfolio that will provide doctors with detailed information to make a good determination if your recession or thinning has stabilized more ....and a more informed plan of action would be more obvious. Best of luck to you.
  24. I’ve never seen such a defined area thinning in the crown area with good density immediately around it. 9-month photo looks great after 2,000+ grafts.
