  1. Some people are just blessed with nice caliber hair....or the thickness of the actual hair. Good caliber enhances the apparent density and thus provides a thicker appearance per graft implant.
  2. Eight days out you would expect scabbing to come off in the shower. Happened to me as well. A few shock-out hairs isn't unusual either. You'll be just fine!
  3. Best of luck to you! You have a lot to look forward to!
  4. I'm an FUE guy all the way! Didn't want that long FUT scar and the healing process is quick and easy with FUE!
  5. If the majority of your hair loss is in the front, I think 2,000 grafts forming a new hairline would be great. A little hard to tell for sure from the pictures but a skilled physician can do wonders with 2,000 grafts. I had over 5,000 done in 2012 with awesome results! However, keep in mind many of my grafts were placed in the crown area.
  6. Congratulations "Markk"! Super results! Good luck down the road!
  7. Looking great "Newbie"! Get used to the redness but it will fade after a while. Looks like your going to have a nice hair line! Careful when you graduate from the sink to the shower, you will feel bits of crusty scabbing come off all over you. Never fear, that is quite normal. You have a lot to look forward to!
  8. Best of luck "Bronte"! I had mine done in Sept. of 2012 and I'm so glad I did! So many people think I look so much younger! I'm glad you're on the road (or in this case... in the air) to new hair! 30 hours in the air???? WOW!
  9. You're off to a great start "Baldcoot"! I'll bet you're loving that new hair line! Enjoy that new hair growth! Wait until people tell you that you look 10 years younger! Probably already heard that!
  10. It's still amazing to me how quickly the donor area can recover after surgery. Within two weeks no one had a clue I had the surgery. They just thought I closely cropped my hair. Looking good! Be patient!!
  11. Well done and congratulations! You're really going to like that hair line! Hang in there the red-ish areas will continue to diminish over time.
  12. Good for you "Watchitgrow"! You have a lot to look forward to! I had over 5,000 grafts and my donor area post-surgery looked very similar to yours. Looks like your Doc did a fine job!
  13. Congrats to you and Dr. Feller! Wow...getting creative with the "jagged hairline design" idea!!!
  14. I used to refer to this stage as.... "Shock and Awe"! Don't worry about a thing. Most all of your transplanted hairs will fall out initially, but the natural hair growth cycle will begin and you will see new growth in a period of weeks. Hang in there during what you call.... the Ugly Ducking phase!!! Your existing hairs in the recipient area will not be affected.
