  1. Hello everyone. I have been meaning to make this thread but have honestly been both busy and lazy. I have been scouring this website for a few months now and have been checking out a lot of peoples progress and completed work. I am glad this exists and want to share my current experience with the community. I am 34 years old and had a FUE done in Las Gatos, California (near San Francisco) by Dr. John Diep on May 23rd, 2018 to the frontal 1/3rd of my head. I began noticing my hair loss slowly when I was 27 years old. I started receding slowly and then the crown started going fast. I used minoxidil from 2011 to 2013 but I kept losing hair but not as quickly as before. I got tired of it and stopped. I started randomly searching on youtube about hairloss solutions and disguises and that eventually lead me to toppik. I started using toppik to cover my crown and i was okay with it. Then when my hairline started disappearing, I would start adding toppik there. It was good for some time and then the hairloss was too drastic. I now started noticing people looking at my hairline when they were talking to me and I felt like they knew something was up. It looked clumpy instead of like real hair strands. So then I began buzzing my hair with a 2 guard and developed a light sprinkle technique to give the illusion that I had a full head of hair with the buzz cut. I eventually got tired of it because like all of you know, it became a daily worry with all of environmental elements and with people wanting to run their hands on the buzz cut. I also got tired of always wearing hats when I didn't have the toppik on my head. I then started doing some serious research for the last 4 years before I actually pulled the trigger. I was choosing between Dr. Lindsey (he is 45 minutes from me in Virginia), Dr. Feriduni ( in Belgium), Dr. Koray Erdogan (Turkey) and Dr. Diep. I ended up choosing Dr. Diep mainly because of his amazing fue hairlines and for that fact that he is in the US. I am not going to type a write up about the day of the procedure because its exactly like what most people have described in their Diep threads. I will say that everything went well and I was pretty much knocked out for 10 hours minus lunch. I was initially told that he would be able to get 2,500 grafts but he ended up extracting 2,381. He was going to do some temple work but since he didn't get the 2,500 grafts, he ended up not doing it. I didn't know this until after the procedure but that makes sense since I was pretty sedated. I also opted to get the A-cell done. I am currently at 6 months and am a bit nervous with the progress (I know this the time where everyone tends to get anxious according to the forums). I know I am a slow grower on the top of my head because I was the same way when I had a full head of hair. There is definitely significant improvement of my hair line, its actually quite dramatic. My only issue is that I don't see a lot of density and I see a lot of big spaces where grafts initially seemed to be placed. I am not going to freak out or anything until after 1 year. I have read on this forum that some people saw a lot of new growth at around 9 months and on. I know the hair also begins thickens up then so I'll just wait and see and post monthly progress pictures. Side note, I know I am going to need 1 or 2 more HTs for full coverage on the rest of my head. I am not on any medication other than daily biotin. I wanted to get yalls opinion on Propecia and your honest blunt opinions about my progress so far. Thanks a lot and I am excited to be a contributor to this forum and of course experience my progress and results with yall. Top 3 pictures are pre op Top 4 pictures are 2 hours post op 1 day post op after a cleaning at his office 3 days post op and my face is swollen 9 days post op with scabbing 10 days post op 12 days post op. All the scabs have fallen. 6 months. Pictures taken this morning. I was buzzing my hair until the first week of October. This is my hair growth since then, about 6 weeks. I am not cutting my hair until the year mark. Hair at 18 Hair at 22 Hair at 28. You can see the front receding.

  3. I have been losing hair since I was 19yrs old and I was on and off minoxidil since I was 24 but at 28yrs I completely stopped minoxidil for 1 yr and it was the worst decision ever. I lost almost all my hair within this 1 yr. I tried to get back on minoxidil and finasteride but it did not help. At age 30, I finally decided that I will do HT. After some research and some consultation with various doctors in Chicago, including Dr.Vladamir Panine, Dr.Allan Purgangao and some doctors in India including Dr.Madhu and Dr.Bhatti. I finally decided to go ahead and fly to India to perform my HT with Dr.Bhatti. Here is my experience with Dr.Bhatti at Darling buds. I reached India on 8th of Oct 2018, Dr.Bhatti had arranged transportation from Delhi airport to Chandigarh. It's a 3hrs ride which was pretty decent even after the long 19hr flight. I was taken directly to the hotel where I slept few hours. At 430pm local time a car was sent to pick me up from the hotel for my consultation with Dr.Bhatti. The consultation was about my hairline design and inspection of my donor area, after which blood sample were taken for necessary investigation. Day of the surgery. I was give antibiotic and sedative injection. I was drowsy very quickly and felt slight pinch at the back of my head at the beginning but soon I fell asleep and did not feel any pain. The surgery was about 7hrs during which a total of 2476 grafts were harvested from the donor area. Single - 328 Double - 1657 Triple - 491 I did not have any pain after the surgery and came back from dressing the donor area early next morning. The healing was pretty good and on the 3rd day my dressing was completely taken off, I never took any pain medication after the surgery. I am pretty pleased with the healing process so far. I have posted pictures taken on the day of the surgery and progression on week 1 , 2, and 3. Dr.Bhatti has prescribed to take finasteride 1mg + 5mg biotin and spray minoxdil 5% for the first 6 months only to promote hair growth. I am taking the medication religiously and hoping for the best outcome.
  4. Everyone and their mother has tried to persuade me out of getting a hair transplant in Mexico, but it’s affordable and I read/write/speak Spanish. Even folks on The Bald Truth and other popular Youtubers warn about going to Mexico for cosmetic surgeries and they all repeatedly recite, “you get what you pay for”. Although I find it odd that none of their surgeons are board certified, I’ve seen some life changing results from Dr. Nader and Dr. Gaston De La Garza. Honestly if I could afford a $20,000 hairline from Dr. Craig Ziering in Hollywood, I wouldn’t think twice. So, is there some kind of prejudice within the hairloss community or are there more instances of botched FUT surgeries that I just haven’t seen?
  5. Hello, there is a really good clinic in Istanbul, after 50 years, after my hairtransplant surgery, my outlook is perfect! And i have no hairloss. After 3 months, my hair started to grow up very fastly and now, it’s been 6 months, and i am not bold anymore. I’ll post the photos of me before and after. Till that time, I want to share the informations about that clinic with you, so you can check; https://www.opdraydintekgoz.com/

  7. On August 3rd 2014, I underwent my first FUE hair transplant, performed by Doctor John Diep of Los Gatos, California. Dr. Diep transplanted a total of 2,460 grafts in the front half of my head. He recreated my hairline and added grafts further back to increase density. The result was fantastic (link: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/39774-2460-fue-hair-transplant-by-doctor-john-diep/), so I decided to quit using Minoxidil. I knew I'd pay for it, but decided that a second transplant to restore healthy hair in my problem area would be far better than taking Minoxidil for life. A quick side note; Minoxidil made my face puffy and caused deep creases/wrinkles to form on my forehead. On November 17th 2015, Dr. Diep transplanted an additional 2,220 grafts (link: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/43867-second-fue-ht-by-dr-diep-2220-grafts-to-improve-density-4700-grafts-total/). Enough said. Here is my update. Just 3 weeks shy from my 4 year hair transformation anniversary. Thank you so much Dr. Diep, you're truly a master and have made me a calmer and happier person.

  10. I had my surgery of around 1900 grafts done on March 16th 2017. Today would mark 20 weeks post op. I am amazed at the results to date and am told it will only get better. See attached comparisons before and after. I religiously use finasteride and biotin as well as minoxidil 5%. It was not always the most comfortable but now I feel almost 100% normal. The crown had no work done this is just the medications. Enjoy, thank you!
  11. Hello all I’m Eden. I’m sorry if lots of people ask this question but I don’t know where to look for this answer. I would like to do the best hair transplant I can get, I don’t want to take any risks and do it again after a year. I’m 30 Y/O from the UK money or traveling isn’t a problem for me. Im desperate to find the best artist in the world who would make my surgery. I will really appreciate if people with experience here would give me a tip who is really the most professional from all. Like I said, traveling is really not a problem for me. Sorry if a lot of people post the same question. I’m a healthy non smoking/drink person. Daily exercise, perfect blood count. I would post pictures of my scalp after shower. I take propcia 1mg for over 12 years now Multivitamin, drink 3 liters of water daily. I don’t eat any junk or friend food. I’m vegan already 4 years and never felt better. Sleep 8 hours every night. Soon I’ll post some pics of my scalp for more help. BTW, I’m quite sure I’ll be needing at list 5000grafts. Thank you again, your help is much appreciated! Hope to help others as well in the future and show you all my journey. Eden
  12. Hi .... I am 28 yrs old, living in Delhi, India. I have been suffering from hair loss and receding hairline since 7- 8 years. Since the past two yrs, the hairline had receded a lot and I saw no option but to go for a transplant. First I would like to thanks for DermaClinix, who suggest me best solution for my hair loss problem. Actually before sometime, i was suffering from hair loss problem day by day, feeling very shy and upset, then someone come and ask for me for consultation with best hair transplant surgeon, then i am go with browser and search best hair transplant surgeon.. Then, We meet with Dr. Amrendra Kumar & they suggest me best solution for my hair loss problem. If anyone looking for hair transplant clinic or hair transplant surgeon then DermaClinix is the best option for hair transplantation. For how long will I have to take these medicines? And, always the answer would be: FOREVER! I would take it for a few months or weeks and stop. I was a fool not to listen to those doctors. Because the only way to retain hair without surgery is to have some or the other treatment/ medication FOREVER. Finally I had to decide for a hair transplant. The same is described in a video I posted, you can find it here: Look my Images Before Surgery After Surgery my Images If you are looking for More Information About DermaClinix:- https://www.dermaclinix.in

  14. Hello everyone, i just had my hair transplant operation short time ago and would like to share all about it. Hair loss started 5-6 years ago and came up to consideration to think about a solution recently as i am 34 years old. As seen on my photos, especially the frontal part got bald and some crown. The prior process was standard like all other clinics, request, analyze, quotation, comparison and decision. Eventually i made my mind to fly over to istanbul and make it done with Arenamed due to ref photos, responsiveness, premises etc. They offered me 3 days package including transfers and hotel, i just had to book my flight to confirm the appointment. Anyways, airport welcoming, hotel location was ok. On the op day, right after arriving to hospital, first step was the blood test, then filling patient form and finally plan of the transplant. Front line and recipient area area drawn and i checked and confirmed. What impressed me was the graft qty to plan for transplantation. Only to the frontal part 5000 + 1000 for crown in total of 6000. Operation took about 9-10 hours and not easy to be still even if you have short breaks for lunch, toilet, rest etc. Eventually all was transplanted and i can't wait for the process. Aftercare and my condition are satisfactory so far as i am at the very beginning. Just got back home, will keep the forum updated and comments are welcome. Team was professional and understanding the concerns. Seems well talented and did not have a problem during long hours. There was the final check after extraction for the frontline and recipient area, injections are painful but no feeling after 10 min. i think the most challenging part is to be still for hours long.
  15. Hey everyone! So I'm a new member so this is all new to me so here my story goes and in advance I appreciate the advice that is given Over the past 3 or so years I've noticed that my hairline has receded around my temples and the frontal area of my hairline, it was something that always bothered me as I think I have a large forehead and I'm limited to what kind of hairstyles I want but lately it has just bothered me more as time goes on and I want have my natural hairline I had when I was younger restored so it has brought me here! I've been following this website for months now and I find it so helpful for everyone else so I hope the same can be done for me I'm still young only at the age of 24 but over the past few months I have been researching hair transplant surgeons all across europe and I'm just slightly confused as to who would be best for me, what I want to have done and isn't too expensive either! My dad (in his 60's) and my two brothers (both in their late 30's ) have developed the exact same hairline as me so I believe it must be a form of genetics playing its role in some way and I just dont like it and want to have just a fuller more dense frontal hairline and maybe have my hairline lowered by an inch or so to give my forehead a smaller appearance, I have attached a few images of what my hairline is like at the moment, doesn't look as bad in the images at the moment as I'm letting my hair grow out so I can cover the areas of the temples that have receded but you can see where it has receded! Any advice on surgeons that arent too overly expensive I would greatly appreciate it thanks guys
  16. Hi everyone! As i mentioned in my profile i am new, and i am not even sure if i am posting to the right place or not  I am from turkey, 35 years old, losing my hair almost for 7 seven year (as far as i can remember) I had my surgery in a new clinic in turkey/istanbul, it is called Institute of Hair. As far as i am concerned they have couple of patients from other countries but since they are new for now they are expecting more turkish patients than foreginers .I was not sure at first because even though they have an experienced team, this is a new clinic and i was their first patient :eek::eek: I now that there are a lot of turkish and foreign people who suffers from hair loss are following this blogs so i taught maybe i can help them or at least share my operation experience... Anyways i decided to have my operation, manuel fue 5300 grafts and i am pretty happy about the result. I am not going to advertise, just post my photos and experience, and will happily answer your questions. It's been 7 month since my operation and they say that the growth will continue until the 12th month. By the way they asked me if they could use my photos on their web sites and instagram page and i said why not... I've been trying to post my photos for like 15 mins but i can not  will try it again soon, sorry guys i don't why i couldn't

  18. Ok so I saw "GetFue" on Facebook a few months ago and been in contact with Kristina via email and did google the place and saw people's results and was happy with what I was seeing. For the last 12 months I have been wearing a hair piece and it made me even more self conscious to a degree I wouldn't go out with friends. So I thought a transplant is the best way to go about it. After emailing Kristina we were ready to sort out a booking when I noticed they required a blood test and I had to tell her I only found out I caught HIV 3 years ago due to a bad operation I had when I was a child but was classed as undetectable. I was dreading her next email as I had a feeling she would say no sorry or I wouldn't hear off her again I got the email and I was correct she did say that "getfue" haven't got the right equipment to deal with people in my situation but that BHT have a new hospital that will take me on and I emailed her saying yes I know it was bad I didn't even want to ask any questions I was desperate to get this done. Anyway she said they had an app Jan 28th I took it and booked my flight and I got a email off BHT and I googled the company and I got bad reviews and I was so nervous and worried and was even going to cancel. But I had this gut feeling these bad reviews expected to come out looking like Rapunzel. Anyway I arrived in turkey after an amazing flight on Turkish Airlines and I was alone as everyone was so worried for me I was picked up in a lovely posh car with water and sweets. The journey took over an hour in the car as I was staying in the Asia area. We got to the hotel (Ramada Asia) and the staff were amazing and catered for all my needs they even got my a dominoes pizza when I arrived. Anyway that evening I met with Oguz who was looking after me during my stay. He got me Turkish tea which was lovey and gave me lots of information and put me at ease. He was a nice guy and said I could contact him any time of day! The next day was surgery day and it was only 1 minute walk from the hotel. The surgery took place at "Newest plastik surgery Istanbul" it was clean, moden, and I felt a relief I wasn't in a backend room. They gave me a drink and I was so nervous at this point. I met the 2 people who were performing my treatment and was relieved they spoke English. So they shaved my head. And it was time for the anestetic. And I have to say nothing in the world could of prepared me for the pain and agony those needles are I actually thought I was going to pas out. Was the worse pain I have ever experienced in my life. After 30 minutes I didn't feel a thing and they started to harvest the back hairs got to say the sounds you hear in your head are not pleasant at all. Then we had a break and I had a lovey lunch prepared for me. Then it was time for my hairline. And that awful anestetic again. It was worse than the first time around. I wanted to just forget it and walk out lol but I got thru it in the end. . It's very personal and invasive surgery but I just switched off. They started to plant my hair and I just watched the tv they had on with music. They did ask me if I wanted to change channel I said no it was taking my mid off it even though I never understood a single word they were singing. We had another break for Turkish tea and cake and to give me a breather. The they finished off my hair. And I was amazed I loved it it was the worse 7 hours of my life but it was so worth it. I had my hairline back. They went over my medication and what to do for the next few weeks and months and gave me a instruction sheet to take home with all my shampoos and meds and a pillow. I got back to my hotel and I passed out asleep as I was in so much pain I woke up the next day pillows full of blood. I got dressed and had breakfast and a car picked me up to take back to the airport Now I'm home and about to do my first hair wash I'm really happy so far. Will post pictures with my progress. If anyone needs phone numbers and email details then message me. Cost me €2900 for 3000 grafts , hotel, airport pick up, food, operation , aftercare
  19. Does anybody have any experiences they'd like to share about how long it took for their crown to come in after a HT? I underwent a HT at the end of April 2015. Total of about 4,200 grafts. Its been about 9 months and I am very satisfied with the front. I actually haven't looked this good in years. However the crown is still incredibly thin. In fact I'm not sure there is much change from before the HT. I'm wondering if the hairs still might come in or if it was a flop back there? i've also looked at a lot of forums and posts and a few people have mentioned that the crown does take longer. I read one place that there was about a 4month delay between on guy's front and his crown after a HT. Still I have great results by 6 months in the front so I'm not sure how to interpret this. I think I can feel short hairs (although I can't really see them because of the location), and I have gotten a pimple or two in the last month in that area. I don't use minoxidil (too greasy, and makes my hair brittle) or propecia (I had horrible side effects). I mention this because I know alot of people are on them or get on them after a HT and it probably helps results. If anybody has any personal experiences with the crown timeline I would love to hear them. Thanks in advance guys.
  20. Hello, So i have had 1 persone to person consultation , 1 over the phone consultation and 1 skype consultation. And all are 3 are coalition doctors. I will list the best consultation to the eorst that i had. 1:(best) Dr. Mohebi i did a skype consultation him. I got off eork late and had to find a place to park. I did my skype consultation in my car on the side of the road. Not only did he answer every question in depth for me.he did not rush me st all( super awesome ) I never he is a busy man. And he also kept saying he can skype me when i get home so i didnt have to park on the side of the road. 2: (great) #2 Dr Deyarman, he is a straight to the point tell it like it is kind of Dr. ( i love that) there is no BS with him. He asked me several questions about past and surgeries etc. if i was on propecia. Which i was not and never told to he. So on the spot he td his secretary to call in a prescription for me. Do to my previous surgeries he felt i was best candidate for FUE. 3:(good) Dr Meshkin, he actually was my first consultation out of the 3 doctors. I went and saw him in person him and his staff are very nice, but i had a not great vibe about him. My consultation felt rushed. I had a appointment date and time so i felt there shouldnt of been a urgency to finish the consultation. The question i asked i felt like he dodge them and wanted his assistant to answer them for me. Which is fine with me but if i have a scheduled consultation he should have the time to answer and explain. So i started to wonder is this how he performs his procedures? By all means im not trying to bad mouth or talk bad about himr. But this is my experience with the consultation i have. At the end of the day i have scheduled with Dr. Mohebi i i think over all whst he does is top notch and he is very acctive in all research in restoration. I will keep everyone updated with before and after pictures of my procedure. Hope this helps futures HTP ?

  23. Hi everyone, I'm french so escuse my english writting. I come to this forum cause I think it's the best place for good advices. To resume, I'm 27, losing my hair since Im 20. I tried propecia and minox in the beginning for more than a year but stopped quickly cause the loss continued. ( I didn't have side effects, so I want to take duta or fina again prior the hair transplant) All my hair on top don't grow anymore, so I will have a large zone to cover. the problem is that I have a poor donor aera, not really dense. But well it's quite normal i think cause during the last 5 years I did the worst things for my hair health : no propecia, no sport, really bad eating/diet, a lot of smoke, many months on anti depressant, a lot of stress, no regularly shampoo, lot of sebum production in my hair with some dermatitis sometimes,etc... well all the worst things, so I think it's normal that my horse shoe isn't going really well no? What is the minimum of donor aera grafts approx. for a person with a bad donor area you think? I plan to use my FUs for the front and mildscalp, and if possible use bht to densify the vertex, do you think it's possible in my case? How much grafts do I need approx. for a decent result with a conservative approach? Does legs hairs are also good for bht to put in the crown? If i take propecia, changes my way of life for healthy hair, and use maximum of my UFs, do you think it's even too risky to go the ht route with my severe hairloss? or is it possible that I will live a few years with a quite decent haircut? I plan to do smp if the result isn't good one year later, for a buzz cut (densify the ht), or for a complete shaved look it depends. and perahp's during that time there will be innovation in HT, or in medication. Or even a stem cell therapy in 5,10,20 years^^ So it's good to try a big FUE/BHT no? even if i'm not the good candidate? what would you do in my case? I need to do something, it's ruining my social life and depressed me, I tell myself " what I have to loose? except money of course", if it can help me for 2 or 3 years, I will enjoy that. So what I have to loose again? Am i going crazy or is my plan realistic guys? Did you see others with a thin donor aera who get a transplant with decent result? Thanks in advance for the probable help. I really think it's here that I can get the best advices. a french dude
  24. So, I know this is extremely debated in the forum, but I'm a noob and wanted to get some insight. I have a bit amount of cash to spend on a HT and was wondering between these three doctors. I know that if I go with Bisanga or Lorenzo I might get lower grafts because of what I can actually afford, but will the result of lower grafts look better than with Dr Erdogan? If it looks the same, plus is more affordable, plus I can get more grafts... should Dr. Erdogan be the logical choice? Any advice will be extremely helpful. Also, for context.. I'm a NW VI ! Not looking for a bon jovi look, just maybe a younger bruce willis type look
