  1. Just be patient and hopefully you will see more growth on that side. At what month did you start to see the initial new growth? Typically its 3-4 months.
  2. If you're only a Norwood 2 you should have plenty of viable donor hair. That shouldn't be an issue at all. 28 is a little young in my opinion for a transplant. You may want to consider waiting a few years and observe that pattern of baldness for a while. Just a thought.
  3. Really good surgeons stay backed up a couple of months. I know Dr. Vories in Charlotte/Charleston near you stays booked 8-10 weeks out but sometimes has a cancellation. Since he does all the extractions and placements himself, he only does one procedure per day. You may want to give his clinic a call and check. Carolina Hair Surgery. Good luck.
  4. I know it’s easy for me to say....but man....you’re way to hard on yourself. That shock-loss will grow back and your transplant looks fine. I had two transplants and the first time had hair growing in after 10 weeks or so. After the 2nd transplant (2,000) grafts, the new hairs began growing in much, much later. Again, its easy for all of us to say...but try to be patient and you will most likely be surprised and pleased in a couple months. I was similarly bald (Norwood 7). Hang in there.
  5. Choose who you’re most comfortable with. I had over 5,000 grafts (11,000) hairs with Dr. Vories at his Charolette NC office. He also has a clinic in Charleston SC. Dr. Vories removes every graft himself and places every graft. A true artist and a believe his rates are $4-5 per graft. Glad you’re searching for a surgeon and getting advice on this website. It’s a great resource for you. Check out my website to see my results at www. MyFUEhairtransplant.com
  6. I have never seen anything like that before. Sometimes you have swelling soon after surgery. It's expected....but years later?
  7. Great results! Looks really good and dense even with the dark hair which can make it more difficult to cover the scalp area showing through. Congrats.
  8. It looks like it could be 3,000+ grafts if they are closely packed together. A little difficult to say. Hopefully a reputable office would extract and insert the number you paid for. Good luck. Send us some pictures in a few months.
  9. You will be fine. Send us some pictures along your journey. Happy growing in 3-4 months.
  10. Wow, thanks for providing your story and exposing “black market” clinics on this forum for all to see. I’m so glad you’re repair procedure went well. I can’t even imagine 5,000 grafts in one day. Hope you provide us some photos of your progress in a few months.
  11. As much as you have to spend on transplant surgery, a few more dollars traveling to the doctor you feel most comfortable with is not much to pay, and you will have much more peace of mind.
  12. Just remember, you head is still very numb from the anesthesia and will be for many weeks. Rub gently if at all. They will naturally start to dissolve and fall off in the shower. I actually rubbed a bit hard after my first surgery and actually scratched my head and didn't know it because it was so numb. Just be careful and let nature do most of the work.
  13. Moist grafts are probably not a big deal. It's what's under the skin that's most important. Those grafts seeking and finding a quick blood supply is key.
  14. Everything looks pretty normal and will continue to look better. Your scalp area heals very quickly. 1,150 grafts in the front and the crown is not that many. Hope most were used in the front.
  15. Wow.... it looks like all 2,000 in the crown. Looking forward to seeing the breakdown front and back.
  16. Wow, nice write-up. Looking forward to seeing more photos in a few months. Happy growing Sir!
  17. Be patient, 3 weeks post-surgery isn’t a long time. Let your hair continue to grow until the healing is complete.
  18. I agree with Melvin, at this point...just be patient and see how it turns out months from now. Don’t consider any decisions until then. Best of luck to you.
  19. Very interesting video. It just seems to come down to personal preference as to whether you want the linear scar vs an almost indiscernible scarring from a very small punch size. I was a Norwood VII and blessed with good donor area. I’m very happy with over 7,000+ grafts with FUE. Thanks for the video, it’s always a good discussion and the debate continues.
  20. I’m really not aware of people looking worse after the 2nd surgery. I had an additional 2,000 grafts in the front area 2 years after my first surgery and everything looked great during the healing process and growing period.
  21. Glad you’re waiting for the next day to travel. You should be fine by then. Be careful the first night. I was given a mild sleeping aide so I wouldn’t be active in my sleep with those fresh grafts in place.
