yeah this is good bro...under direct sunlight or any strong light of course you will probably still see through since density is not there yet but it looks good.

OP, for only 5.5 months it looks really solid. I'm highly interested to see your 12 months and later result, but that's already looking on track. 

I think just from a density PoV, it will be interesting to see how many grafts survived overall in terms of planted density 

I don't know if answered already, but did you start around 8cm or so from the glabella and bring it down to 6cm? It looks like it was roughly lowered an inch. 

I personally think when i measured my own it didn't seem that much higher than where i thought i wanted it, but looking at the clinic i'm looking to go to and their results, i think they could be open to possibly having mine be lowered down aggressively. I'm just concerned on the look of the density but normally the first pass is an illusion of density i feel for most and probably have the best chance to survive in my case. I might go for a 2nd pass at some point but i'm also hoping for the miracle of clone grafts in my "Youthful midlife Crisis" age of 40s and 50s to maybe make the most of it

So I think in my case, I started with a 7-7.5cm or around there glabella, and it was lowered to 6cm.  Some of the transplant was inbetween existing hairs, in order to have a good transition into existing hairline.  So I'd say the actual lowering was more around 1-1.5cm  Not quite 2cm.

As for you, really depends on your doctor.  If he's a good one, he'll know what he's capable of and won't do anything he thinks will look bad.

Thanks for the reply. I have been trying to use a ruler to guess where to place mine and i think my central frontalis muscle sits around 4.5-5cm. The current sorta plan i was given by the clinic without them having measured but when i did so, sits around 6cm. Potentially even a bit under. 

I think however that without recreating the temple points entirely on mine and hopefully closing them in a bit closer, the forehead even at 6cm for the hairline would look like i still have a big forehead. 

I didn't realise how big a part the temple points actually play even though they seem such a small part of the hairline to most. The temple points can make even a hairline that's higher look lower from the article i read by a respected doctor online when he compared how Leonardo Di Caprio had an arguable lower hairline than Bradd Pitt but his temple points not being as narrow made his head look bigger.

Very true.  Temple points and how they frame your hairline makes a big difference.

Not gonna lie, yours looked really solid. I literally have none lol. They went by my late teens pretty much. 

Hopefully you get the results you want man. They're definitely situations you count yourself lucky to be considered for because genuinely anything past a light Norwood 3, nobody is going to be willing to go aggressive with hairlines.

One thing i've noticed generally is that depending on how i dry my hair. The "puff" you give to the hair can make it look better even at the same hair. Plus, you are pulling back the hair on the top so that has a little influence on the way it will look. 

Overall though, i definitely see what you mean. Your bottom picture looks more boxed off but it's subtle looking which is always a plus too imo. The aesthetic sides being more subtle is a blessing in that it's harder to detect the change, it just looks "better" to people but a curse in that sometimes you might think about it from a hair greed PoV.

Ok!  Got the gif working, here’s 6 months.

 

Wanted to show more detail on the rebuilt temporal points.   The entire hairline is not really native density, nor will it probably ever be, but I’m relatively happy:

 

 

I also have my 6 month checkup coming up soon, so we’ll see what the clinic says.

Not sure there are any studies on it.  But there are tons of studies showing they massively increase vasodilation, which would be a plus for competing grafts and bloodflow.

I honestly don't think it will change much at all from here.  There's not a single new hair sprouting anywhere.  Maybe a little more thickening of some grafts, but most are mature from looks of it.

So today I had 6 month followup with the clinic (I skipped 3 month one due to not wanting to fly just for that).  They said everything is looking great, but that I can still expect lots of improvement in the next 6 months.

 

I assume this is just a talking point they tell everyone, but hey, can always hope haha!

 

Other than that, also had a session of micro-needling with them where they also apply some topical stuff.  That’s something that’s included in the followups for free, so figured might as well.

 

Now to wait for month 7 for next post and compare!

Finally can show why I got the HT.  This is post shaving:

As can be seen, it wasn’t that small an area.  They shaved a bit of the hairline since they implant grafts in between the existing ones so the transplant blends into hairline.

 

Can also see that the temporal points were heavily worked on.

bro that looks like atleast 2cm not 1cm lowering plus they significiantly extended your temple points i think for 3300 grafts the outcome is more or less upwards of 80% growth from the grafts so by that metric your transplant was a success and a touchup could get it to the final result you wanted but doesnt seem necessary

I don’t think a touch up is necessary, it is decent enough as is imho, a touchup would be simply that, a vanity + to the result.

 

As for total reduction, do notice some of the hairline was shaved off, in order to make it easier for surgeon to integrate the hairs into hairline seamlessly.
