  1. Hey Guys, Thought I’d post and ask the opinion of those who have gone through the experience of lowering their hairline what a reasonable graft estimate would be to slightly lower my hairline. I was shampooing my hair and thought I’d do something funny and use the suds to see what it would look like if my hairline and corner of my temples where they meet the hairline looked if it was about 1/2 an inch to 1” lower with a more pronounced widows peak like I had years ago. Would be great to know from the pros on how many grafts I would need should I ever choose to lower it, and any input or thoughts from Docs would be great too. Thanks!
  2. The best most cost effective way to legally obtain generic Finasteride either 5mg or 1mg is to make a doctors visit or dermatologist and ask them to write you a prescription then go to Costco or a Walmart to get it filled, Costco is the cheapest I believe, around $10 or less for a month supply of 1mg. I would be very weary of any other online sites that claim to sell it cheap as they could be selling counterfeit pills and your identity and credit card/banking info could be compromised, so not worth it.
  3. You’ve had 13 Ht’s? How many grafts in total?
  4. Wow! It’s really coming along nicely It’s really coming along nicely! Looks very natural.
  5. Completely agree with you man. What I once hopelessly thought was unrealistic and way out-of-reach for me is now feasible and a reality and for many it can be as well to get done if they desire it, and at various cost levels that put it within reach. To me it’s not about vanity, it’s about being happy with and within yourself.
  6. Yeah, I agree 100% with @jonnyalex. Lesson learned by you that may help others not jump the gun. Keep updating your progress. 👍🏻
  7. Here is a post from a recent patient: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/53363-2200-grafts-fue-dr-kaan/
  8. Very nice improvement since your previous 4.5 months photos, like everyone has said to you, you can not jump the gun and judge as a done result at 4.5 months, you need to give it time, the Doctors work looks very good and in these daylight photos I’m a little surprised the density looks pretty good so far given only 1,700 grafts and you have another 6-12 months of more possible improvement.
  9. IMO, it looks like mpb and within 3-5 years you will likely loose much more and towards the front as well. I would start using minox 5% liquid and try Finasteride .5mg daily to begin with to see how you respond. If you are in the US you can google HIMS or KEEPS for men as they provide an online way of legitimately obtaining inexpensive generic Finasteride without having to go see a doctor (you fill out their online form and include current photos and their partner doctors evaluate and prescribe the medication all online). Good luck.
  10. Thanks man! I do like my hair shorter as it’s easier to wash and manage and I do think if I get it cut back to the lenght at 7months it would look better than then, but I’ve always wanted to grow my frontal hair long enough to sweep it all the way back slicked back but Im even mulling over shaving it down to a #1 or #2 on the clippers haha
  11. Sounds good, but if your progress is going as good as you expect it or better before 12-months, do consider posting before then as it could be helpful to others looking for help and doing research. 🙂
  12. A bit tricky to see from the distance in your latest photos but looks like some real nice growth progress for 3months and with the hair fibers it looks even better!
  13. Thanks @Lennney! I appreciate the compliment and comment! Yeah, it’s been quite a journey, slow at first but now time is zipping by with progress that I’m really happy with, and for me it was well worth it all, no regrets. Haha, will do, I’m in NYC so plenty of good barbers around to choose from. What help me style a bit easier my naturally wavy hair is I use a natural biotin hair conditioner after shampoo and leave it in for 5min then use a comb to style and let air dry and occasionally use a little matte clay. i agree, for my age I don’t mind a thin looking crown/vertex area it’s age appropriate but there’s always that hair greed that kicks in when you are already pleased and think it could get just a bit better 😂 Thanks again! Looking forward to seeing your progression updates!
  14. You’re welcome! Who was your surgeon? How many grafts did you get? Have a progress thread?
  15. Haha, thanks man! Will probably do that for my 1year mark post-op, kinda letting the hair grow long just to see how well it grows, haven’t had my hair this long and combed back to show hairline probably since I was 25. Might it might not dye it as I like this look and style:
  16. I would say so, I had the 3/4 months initial growth then 6/7, then some at 8/9 months and actually I’ve felt a few new hair “pop” here and there even now at 10.5 months which is probably the mentioned 10% growth til the 1year mark.
  17. Thanks @Fozzie & @jonyny! @Fozzie I took 1mg Finasteride for 10-months before the procedure as recommended by Dr Erdogan in order to strength my donor area and protect against shock loss, and I took it after the procedure only up until a little after my transplanted hairs shed, so I stoped taking Finasteride at 1.5 months post-op. I did not like some of the side effects I got from the drug and wanted to see how my HT progressed without it, and I didn’t have much native hair on top that I need Finasteride to save and protect.
  18. Looks much better styled back like a young Al Pacino in The Godfather 😉 Very nice! AND I got a good feeling you got still more improvement to come!
  19. Not sure if you’re complimenting me or Mr @Kraistoff either way thanks! Oh and best of luck on your upcoming October procedure, no doubt the experience will be memorable for you. 👍🏻
