I spent a couple of weeks last year looking for the best doctor in the region for a beard and hair transplant. Traveling abroad was on the table until my cousin recommended Dr. Taleb Barghouthi in Amman. After reading more about him and seeing at the results from previous patients, I decided to schedule a consultation appointment. That was when the journey began and I would like to think about it as a three-step process: 1) Consultation , 2) Surgery and 3) Results. Consultation: When I first visited Dr. Barghouthi’s Vertex clinic I had so many questions; specifically regarding the beard as I was nervous about the aftermath of the surgery on my face. Dr. Barghouthi walked me through the process step-by-step, addressed all of questions and showed me the results of previous patients. When we reached to the point of discussing my hair-transplant, he asked me all the relevant questions about my age and family history. After examining my hair-loss pattern he recommended that I wait for another 1-2 years before I do a hair transplant as he wanted to make sure the pattern stays the same and does not extend to the donor area. I was really surprised as most of the doctors I consulted with recommended that I do it immediately. Based on his recommendation I decided to schedule a surgery for my beard and follow-up with him frequently over the next year for my hair. Looking back now I strongly believe that was the best scenario which guaranteed better results and a more informed decision. Last week and after 1.5 years I did my hair transplant at Vertex and I will be sharing the results once it starts showing in a different post. Surgery: I was very well prepared of the surgery due to the detailed instructions I received over the previous weeks. The surgery went very well, as Dr. Barghouthi performs and oversees every step of the surgery and has a fantastic team of nurses and supporting staff. Results: I will let the pictures speak for themselves; the results of ~1,400 FUE after 6 months and after 1.5 years (the last two pictures were taken last week during my hair transplant surgery). I strongly recommend Vertex and Dr. Barghouthi to any patient who is looking for great results and a flawless process.

First of all thanks a lot to all the contributors of this forum. I decided to go with Eugenix based on the great results I saw here. I got my crown only hair Transplant with 2500+ grafts from Dr. Arika Bansal and team (Premium Package) yesterday. The surgery started at 9am and ended at 6:30pm, overall I didn’t feel much pain as everything was well organized by Eugenix Mumbai team. I have been recommended 1700 to 2000 grafts but I requested for more density hence went to 2500 grafts. I am still waiting for more details from the Mumbai clinic, will post the graft info as soons as I receive it. Here are some pre-op and post op pics. Before: Day 0: (After coming back to hotel - No pain at all) Day 1: ( No pain but noticed mild swelling in the donor area) I will keep updating my progress everyday. Thanks again and looking forward for your comments and suggestions.

Hi, I was under FUE procedure almost 4 months ago. I'm more active on french forums but like this one too. Finally I'm making this topic. I'm 36, NW3V. I started losing hair in early twenties. Very agressive loss until late 20s then it slowed down a lot. It started by vertex and frontal thinning appeared later. I have no history of hair loss in my family. Pretty unlucky 😡 The operation was done within two days : day one : 2000 grafts for hairline day two : 1539 for crown/vertex (the total was 3559 because I lost 20 grafts when hurting my head 😡 I'm posting personal pics. And also other from the doc just before the surgery. I must confess about doc's pics : the light was pretty agressive which makes my hair look worse than normal conditions.

After realizing how much hair I was losing and that I couldn’t hide it anymore I wanted to find a way to get my hair and confidence back. So my search for the best doctor in the region began. After a thorough search, I found Dr. Barghouthi and saw all the remarkable before and after pictures, it was too good to be true so I had to book an appointment to learn more about the doctor and the procedure. On the initial interview Dr.Barghouthi was very attentive to my needs, he told me what to expect and what I needed to do to make this a success, plus he is one of the few doctors to be a member of the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery! I knew he was the doctor I was looking for and I immediately scheduled my surgery. On the day of the surgery everyone put me at ease and I felt I was in the best hands. There was very little pain associated with the procedure. Dr. Barghothi’s knowledge and experience were outstanding. With abundant follow ups, comprehensive and clear communication. Not to mention the friendly and welcoming attitude from the entire team in addition to the excellent customer service. Convenient scheduling with helpful appointment reminders. Looking back at old photos I never realized how much hair I had lost compared to what I have now. I will definitely choose Dr. Barghouthi and Vertex Clinic again if I need a follow-up procedure. Here are some pictures before and after 2360 FUE grafts.

I am 23 and last year my mother noticed the hair near my crown thinning. I have been pretty paranoid since. I get a lot of conflicting opinions from people close to me, ranging from ‘everything is perfectly’ fine to ‘you will be bald within 2-3 years’. Thought I would get an opinion from more experienced people on here who have gone through similar journeys. I am currently taking daily: 10,000 mcg biotin pills, 500 mg Saw Palmetto pills, 350 mg beta-sitosterole and shampoo daily with either bitoin shampoo/alpecin (both which claim to block DHT, the latter using caffeine). And every 3-4 days I also use Nizoral 2% since I have dandruff. I am a bit afraid to start fina, mainly because of side-effects which 2% of the people noticed. Also I am not sure how much it would cost to get a prescription as I don’t have a lot of money and my insurance will not cover appointment for this kind of hairloss (at least thats what I think) so 2 questions for the community: 1) How bad is the hair loss from pictures (taken from iphone front camera) and how much time approximately before it is extremely noticeable and irreversible? 2) What treatment should I opt for? Shouls I continue my regimen or switch to fina ans minoxdil combo? Anyone noticed positive effects from saw palmetto and/or beta-sitosterole? Thanks in advance!

I got a haircut after 8 months of hair transplant. My crown / vertex looked really thin after the cut. It was 2 months ago. Now I am waiting for my hair to grow up again, but confused on how to calculate my days / months about transplant. Should I say I am at 10 months or 2 months? Does hair grow faster after haircut?

Hi All, I am 31 years old and soon going to be 32 in the next few months, have been losing hair for the past 5 years. I have tried using both Minoxidil and Finpecia for about a year together and then stopped about 6 months back, as I just couldn't see myself doing it any further for the rest of my life. I'm not sure if it did stop my hair loss or helped regrow some, as there was nothing noticeable to my eye. I've been following this forum for about 2 years as a silent spectator while deciding if I really needed a hair transplant (Parents being against it) or should I wait further or look for an alternate solution (Hair System?). I've really been stressed for the past few years due to the hair loss and it did impact my self confidence, with some individuals (friends/colleagues) making jokes in public about the balding spot didn't help either. Being unmarried and balding is not making it easier for me. The forum helped me reading through all the patient's reviews and their journeys. I then decided I do need a HT, so it finally came down between Dr Bhatti and Dr Lorenzo, but considering the cost (wasn't that important factor) and Chandigarh also being my home town, I opted for Dr Bhatti and fixed my appointment with him over email for the next month. After discussing with Dr Bhatti over the email, he mentioned I'm Norwood 3V and that I would need 1500 grafts for the front, 1000 grafts to cover my crown. My hair other than the balding spot is reasonably thick, I have attached the pictures to give a fair idea. Need everyones honest view on the frontal hairline, should I lower it further or continue with the same? Do you think 1000 grafts will be enough for the crown? How much density should I be aiming for at the front and the crown while making sure I do not waste my donor area (as I may at some time in future need it again, I hope not - but still) Should I consider transplanting my chest hair instead for the crown, instead of wasting the donor area at the back? If yes, will it look unnatural considering the hair surrounding it is thick and original hair (instead of the chest hair)? I will of course be discussing this with Dr Bhatti in person (didn't feel like bombarding him with so many questions over email), but I will be in a better situation if I have everyones view and I got almost a month to ponder over it. Would love everyones view PS: I'm suffering from Hypothyroidism (under control via pills).

This 32-year-old male had been on Propecia (finasteride 1mg) therapy for over a year and hadn't seen the improvement of crown coverage that he desired. He then underwent a 2228-micrograft FUT procedure with Dr. Carlos Wesley in NYC. The patient can be seen both before and one year following his hair restoration surgery to his crown. During the procedure the patient's grafts were stored in a mixture of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and ACell.

This 49-year-old gentleman wanted to finally cover the balding crown that had been bothering him for many years. A 2284-graft session by Dr. Wesley allowed for coverage over this large surface area. ACell and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) were used as storage media. The patient returned 10 months after his follicular unit transplantation procedure.
