  1. I am also using the Dr Pen A6 and love it, it’s much easier to use and more efficient I believe than a derma roller and you don’t need to have several roller sizes to worry about, you adjust mm on the device. I purchased a bunch of needle cartridges and only use each once to prevent any bacterial infection. I started off with 1mm length on my 1st session and now on my 7th I upped it to 2mm, I apply minoxidil 12-24 hours after.
  2. Early Congrats! Looks fantastic for 5months.
  3. All true what you state @Lennney above, Most all big brands also produce the same goods just repacked for their off-brand clients with very little differences in quality if any. Yeah, Costco is great both for their products and services and consumer friendly approach but also the way they treat their employees, and I’ve read times, polls that show corporate responsibility and employee happiness that Costco is always rated about the top of the list, and this is why I do not mind paying their yearly membership fee (10-years now) as I have the executive membership that gives a Costco cash 2% rebate in the mail to me at the end of every year which covers the cost of the membership fee for me as well as a little extra to shop with and I love it. Yes, only purchase is it says ‘Ships and Sold by Amazon’ or a highly rated 3rd party seller, but you must look before placing in cart, and yes it’s common for many counterfeit consumer items to be sold on Amazon by 3rd party sellers so you definitely don’t want to take the chance with a medication...ever.
  4. Hey @Lennney Good advice on purchasing Kirkland brand minox, I just like to add that when purchasing on Amazon always best to be sure you are buying it directly as “Sold by Amazon” or a 3rd party seller that has a high rating and sales count otherwise there is a possibility it may be counterfeit / knock off.
  5. Looks good! Nice to see more patient posts of Dr Pekiner, hope you keep updating your progress. Happy Growing!
  6. Work looks good and clean, looking forward to following your progress! Happy Growing!
  7. Very nice results! This is what my hair would look like if I had more of it in my midscalp & crown and untamed 😂 Some guys are just “lucky” they only have to fill-in 1 area and all else is thick and dense.
  8. Hi looking at your posts and photos, it looks like you suffered shock ln your frontal area but it looks to have recovered and now looks like the transplanted grafts are starting to grow. 4-months is very early to judge the progress so don’t stress too much.
  9. Hahaha Thanks jonyny, my hair has always been naturally wavy and if I don’t use any hair styling products or blow dryer (it’s been years) it looks out of control but I’ll take that “problem” over no hair. 😂
  10. If I recall, my shed from the Ht procedure started around week 3 post procedure and continued until around the end of my 2nd month. I may have accelerated my shed with the use of the nightly oil scalp massage but I was okay with it as I thought the faster the shed was over with the better for the rest phase to end and for the new grafts to start growing anew. To be honest I haven’t heard much about shedding beyond someone’s 3rd month unless it was native hair from shock or native miniaturizing hairs due to Minoxidil use. As I have just started my microneedling routine and added minoxidil 5-% lotion 2-weeks ago I did experience shedding and I believe it’s just my native hairs responding, which I look as a positive because that means newer stronger hairs are pushing out the miniaturized. I had concerns that the minoxidil shed would affect my growing hairs from my grafts but it seems it hasn’t, and I’ve stopped shedding as of a few days ago, i now just shed 5-10 hairs when shampooing so not too bad. Dont be to stressed out about the shedding, the hair will return just stay consistent with your post op care and routine.
  11. Thanks for the kind words man! @HLPToronto Im happy with the results and the way my donor area has recovered given such a large number of grafts extracted Yeah, I think is always good to look back into ones progress photos to appreciate the progress and to have realistic expectations and to stay optimistic and patient. Ive believe I’ve seen your recent photos as well and for your 3-months progress its looking good, and sure to improve over the next 3-6months and possibly beyond. Happy Growing!
  12. Here is a photo from the back with bright flash from last week, I wanted to see if the shedding in the center swirl was bad due to the microneedling & Minoxidil and i seem to have just shed the weak miniaturized hairs so hopefully new stronger ones grow and fill it in.
  13. Much thanks @Lennney! Crown area is slightly improving but that may be due to now doing microneedling & Minoxidil, will see how well it helps over the next month or two. Yeah, I agree, it’s a big change from pre-op and it’s been a good journey, nerve wracking at times but good. Hahah, I actually just had to renew my passport and of course I took new photos, with more hair this time. 😂😀
  14. Finally at the 1-year (and a few days) mark post my FUE procedure w/Dr Erdogan @ ASMED Overall, considering where my hair loss was over a year ago and looking back, I am very pleased. The process started out slow but then flew by. There were up’s and down’s but I don’t regret it at all. Could there be room for improvement, yes, I do wish there was more density in my mid scalp and crown, I do wish that my corners of my temples that meet the hairline were filled in some, i do wish that the hair on my sides wasn’t so grey and matched the new hair ( haha) but none of that is the fault of Dr Erdogan and the team at ASMED as I think they did their best with what they had to work with, so no regrets here. I am still seeing improvement, I do notice that the hair at my midscalp and crown is getting slightly thicker...now, In all honesty I don’t know for sure if that is just from the HT maturation process still progressing or if it’s due to that I have started microneedling those areas (but mostly all over) once a week a month now and started using Minoxidil 5% lotion once a day (not on day I microneedle) as well as Nizoral shampoos 1 to 2 times a week. The interesting thing is that I did suffer hair shedding the first two weeks of doing the microneedling/minoxidil/Nizoral regimen so seeing that I shed a good amount of native hairs and still see that there has been some progress is interesting and I plan to continue and stay consistent. I’ll post some photos from today. The first couple are of my hair wet after a shower and shampoo and just combed, the rest are of the hair air dryed with no hair products of any kind and also just combed with a basic comb. Also, if more, the hair at my frontal area is about 3”+long and the hair at my mid scalp and crown is about 2”+ Long.
  15. Had to look at your 1st post and I think given your thin hair caliber (47 microns) and where you were pre procedure, your results for almost a year have turned out really good and it looks to me to be thickening up since your last months photos.
  16. On Amazon, pretty good price $20. It’s the: Jiusion 40 to 1000x Magnification Endoscope.
  17. Here’s a couple screenshots I took using a usb microscope to see if the microneedling + minoxidil i have recently started is really actually creating new hair follicles ... Now it’s just coaxing them to grown stronger.
  18. Cool, keep at it for some more months to see if you get more improvement. Minoxidil may be recommended for the crown but that doesn’t mean it won’t work elsewhere.
  19. Nice progress. Yes, it seems like any newly growth hairs that may have shed are probably being shed faster in response to the benefits of minoxidil and making room for possible better caliber hairs to start growing. Possibly the miniaturization process in reverse. How often do you microneedle for, once weekly?
  20. Definitely a much better change compared to your pre op photos, hopefully you experience another sprout/growth or thickening of any fine hairs in the lacking areas, but overall it’s definitely made you look a proper age rather than 10-15 years older like in the before photos.
  21. Progress looks good and your donor area looks really good. I too, also noticed that at the beginning of of the month (every few months) I felt and saw new hairs had sprouted and then just growth of those the rest of the months.
  22. Wow! Looks fantastic, congrats!
  23. The big concerning issue with this type of treatment of injection millions of cells it’s that there’s chance and propensity to form cancers/tumors on the skin, as it would be cells once injected would be uncontrollable on what they do, which is scary, and it would be a huge liability to any clinic or doctor if it occurred in a patient.
  24. Here ya go: 1st photo, May 6th, is of my midscalp and crown a few weeks after I got a haircut and the length of hair was a bit shorter in the back than the front as I wanted front longer. 2nd photo, June 8th, after a few once weekly microneedling sessions and adding minoxidil 5% lotion in the most recent week. Interestingly, I did shed a bunch the first 2 weeks and lost a lot of short miniaturized hairs, possibly shed out to make room for new stronger hairs but not sure just yet, need to give it more time. Edit: I also want to add that I am also microneedling+minoxidil on an area on my left donor side that is a bit slightly less dense from the extraction of my fue procedure so I’m experimenting to see if this method can help donor area better and grow any new hair there as well.
  25. Thanks Melvin, I will post. I agree, I haven’t see such great results before that came just from medication alone or microneedling alone, but I think the killer application would be HT+Medication+Microneedling to fully get where we want to be ... without having to wait for cloning or any decade or three with vaporware.
