  1. Impossible to accurately judge from photos alone. You say you've had two in person consults suggesting you have average/good donor so it sounds like a transplant's certainly an option.
  2. Finasteride will hopefully stabilise your hair loss (or possibly thicken or regrow some if you're one of the lucky ones). As others have said, given your age and current hair situation, I'd say this is the best plan for now. Take pics every few months to check your progress.
  3. This patient is in his mid 40's and was initially concerned with the frontal aspect of his scalp. He received 3575 grafts by FUT. We can see his progress at just over 6 months and he is very happy with the developments so far.
  4. Sounds like it's been a perfectly planned approach. And great to have those grafts left for a rainy day!
  5. This has really held up well over the decades. I'd also like to know if he uses meds - if not, he's been so fortunate in that the side hair doesn't appear to have dipped at all over the years despite his advanced loss in his forties. Nice work.
  6. Looking great farmcat. Just unrecognisable from where you started.
  7. Not really possible to judge from the pics. It's normal to see some scalp at the crown. Are you receding at all at the front? Have you any brothers or a father/grandfather with significant hairloss? If so, it becomes more likely that you will begin to lose your hair also. As has been suggested, you should take photos every few months under consistent lighting conditions to see if things change or remain the same.
  8. Hmmm. Something tells me we won't hear from 'Jordan' again... Another of the one (post) and done crew.
  9. I had a procedure with Dr. Lorenzo in 2013 when he worked with us at the Farjo clinic. I wasn't taking finasteride and he didn't insist I took it. I suggest you contact his clinic to check.
  10. This patient is in his early 40's. He is on finasteride but wanted to beef things up a bit. He is just over 6 months post op following his procedure of 2896 grafts with an average hair count of 2.1. He is happy with how things are developing.
  11. This is looking really promising at 4.5 months. That was a big area to cover and it's really coming in well now. Nice work from Dr. C
  12. Four months is really only the start of things. I know from my own experience how easy it is to think negatively in the early months, but be patient and remember it's a marathon, not a sprint.
  13. I'll just add this case of a transgender patient which I think is as good as it gets: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184797-dr-b-farjo-2000-fut.html
  14. Finasteride is certainly worth considering. It's your best bet in maintaining what you've got and hopefully delaying further surgery.
  15. Glad all went well. Look forward to your pics.
  16. Yep I'd say that's mpb unfortunately. Finasteride is certainly worth considering and your donor looks good should you consider surgery.
  17. You're certainly in safe hands with Dr. C. Hope all is going well with your procedure.
  18. Looks like you're off to a good start. Some nice growth there for four months. Should be plenty more to come.
  19. If you took pics with the hair held up so we could see it exiting the scalp we would have a better idea of your density, but really, an in person consult is the only truly accurate way to tell.
  20. Have you tried your local GP? I haven't used finasteride for a few years, but I used to get it prescribed by private prescription from my doc and just popped into Boots to pick it up. Cost around ?8 for four months supply.
  21. Thanks Bill. I completely agree. We'll certainly do our best to update his progress.
  22. This patient is aged 30. Although he had already lost a lot of hair, he was relatively stable as he had been using finasteride a year before his treatment. The plan for him was to improve the front and top in a non aggressive manner and review his situation when appropriate. He received 2100 grafts via FUE just over 4 months ago with an average hair per graft count of 2. We will be adding pictures of his progress over the coming weeks and months.
