  1. I was thinking the same as David, in that having had previous ht's you would know not to expect anything at just one month. Patience is key with transplants, it can be a frustrating wait but hopefully it'll be worth it.
  2. Definitely looks like some early growth beginning there DE. Glad you've healed up ok and made it through 'the doldrums' - those first couple of months are the worst part. Dr. Farjo will have suggested an eight months check up as at that stage you're well on the way to seeing the final result (though further growth can often happen even then, along with maturing and thickening of the hair). Thanks for updating and happy growing!
  3. As others have said, at almost two weeks those grafts are secure and resilient enough to survive most things. Nothing to worry about.
  4. This patient is in his mid 50’s and felt that his hair loss made him look older than he felt. He now believes that this has been addressed and he feels great. He received a procedure of 3100 follicular units with an average hair count of 2.3 per graft.
  5. Looking forward to seeing that progressing then. Happy growing:)
  6. Yeah looks a good result no doubt. Do you plan to address the crown in the future? Did the doc say how many grafts you have remaining?
  7. Nice result this. Restoring temple points can make such a difference while not using up too many precious grafts. Good work!
  8. Congrats. The work looks really good and those temple points are going to make such a difference as they can play such a big part in framing the face. Look forward to following your progress.
  9. Pics not the best quality so hard to really judge but the work appears good. Where are the twelve month pics?
  10. Looking great. It's definitely taken a few years off you.
  11. I remember back when I was 21 reading in The Sun newspaper about a hairloss breakthrough which would put an end to hairloss within 5 years. Now I'm pushing 47 and it seems we're not much nearer. Fingers crossed though that one of these 'breakthroughs' will one day be the real deal.
  12. Congrats. Having not one but TWO top surgeons working on you is a rare thing! Looking forward to following this.
  13. Pretty much all the growth has already happened at seven months and as you say, it's just a case of the hair maturing. In my own experience though, growth was significantly delayed when treating an area that had been previously transplanted (frontal). Nothing really happened until month eight then it sprang into life. But when I had a couple of thousand grafts to my crown (not previously treated) I had pretty much my full result by month six.
  14. This patient is in his early 60’s and went through the mill many years ago. Two transplants and two scalp reductions left him with a depleted donor area as well as a difficult scalp to work with. We were able to harvest just over 2,000 grafts and he had an average hair count of just below 2. Despite all of this and his fine hair quality we were able to move him to a better place.
  15. This patient is in his early 50's with relatively stable loss. His aim was to boost density throughout the whole scalp. Our limitation was that he has relatively fine donor hair and we knew that he would need a couple of procedures to achieve his aim. Here we are at 8 months from the first procedure.
  16. Thanks Djlazerblue, Traditionally it's been accepted that FUE can give a lower yield and risk of transection as you mention, but in the right hands these risks can be greatly decreased. As FUE has become increasingly popular we are finding more and more of our patients are requesting this method. That said, there are still cases where the more sensible approach may be FUT. Of course no two cases are the same and only after an in-depth examination of the patient and consideration of his family hair loss history do we advise which method we would recommend.
  17. Thanks Bill, I'm sure we'll be posting more and more FUE cases in the future - in fact the last three cases I've posted have all been FUE procedures. Regards Pete
