  1. Here is something different that shows how important it is for patients to have all options explored rather than jumping in to surgery. Male in his 30’s with ongoing loss who before seeing us had thought that surgery was his only option. The pictures are shown at an 8 month interval after he started using Minoxidil and Finasteride.
  2. Usually the sign of a successful transplant. Look forward to your latest pics.
  3. Good advice there from Shera. Really feel for you being so young and having been losing hair since your early teens. Life really sucks sometimes. How long have you been on finasteride? Hopefully you're a good responder and you can thicken things up a bit, but it's going to be six months to a year to really be able to judge its effect. Wish you all the best and hope you can keep us posted.
  4. This patient is in his 60's and told us that he woke up one day, looked in the mirror and admitted to himself that he missed his once great head of hair. After some internet research he found us, and approximately 11 months ago had an FUT procedure with an average hair count of 2.3 per unit. The follow up pics were sent to us by the patient.
  5. Really starting to take shape now Mick. Thanks for the regular updates
  6. I found that the time passes surprisingly quickly, either watching a film or chatting away to the doc and technicians. Also having a couple of breaks where you can go to the toilet, eat some food etc.
  7. Congrats on your latest procedure Pma. Those 2014 pics really show how far you've come. Grow well.
  8. This patient is in his mid 30's with relatively stable loss. He has been using Propecia for a year and his initial concern was with the front and top. He does plan to look at the crown at some stage in the future. The patient sent us the post operative pics which were taken at just over 6 months. He received 2589 follicular units with an average of 2.4 hairs per graft.
  9. I don't think you need to be concerned about this. Things can pretty much look at their worst at six weeks and it's easy to think negatively. I suspect you'll see healthy new growth in those areas in a couple of months or so.
  10. Looking really good. Night and day from where you started.
  11. When I was twenty a mate I worked with leant over to me and matter of factly said: "You'll be bald by the time you're twenty-five". Luckily I had had my reply ready for whoever was the first to say something along those lines, and I responded with: "Yeah perhaps, or maybe I'll get a transplant or they'll find a cure, whereas you will most definitely still be ugly!"
  12. To be honest I would expect to see more growth than this at seven months. There's still time though, give it a few more months and judge it then.
  13. Thanks for the comments. He didn't report any shock loss to us. As we were transplanting into an area mostly containing strong healthy transplanted hair from his previous procedure, there is little risk of shock loss as long as it is done with care. Experience goes a long way also.
  14. Absolutely nothing to worry about from those pics. You've got hair that most of us would kill for!
  15. This patient is in his early 50's and had a procedure abroad several years ago to his hairline zone. His aim was to give things a boost and he is delighted with the outcome. He received 2100 follicular units with an average count of 2.1 hairs per graft. The patient supplied the follow on pictures.
  16. Congrats. I'm sure you're going to be smiling in a few months time. The down time after a transplant can be tough going, but you're two months post op now, so you're almost through the worst of it.
  17. To be honest it's pretty hard to advise you accurately from those pics. The first pic suggests possible thinning at the crown. If you feel it is, I'd suggest you monitor it by taking pics every few months under consistent lighting conditions to look for any subtle changes.
