  1. Congratulations Sanjar. Really hope this turns things round for you. I look forward to your updates.
  2. I'd say the first couple of months post op are the worst. Youre desperately willing your native hair to regrow to its original state, and also for any redness to subside. If you are able to hide under a hat then it's far less of an issue. The actual procedure itself I've never found too stressful - can be a long day but generally pretty relaxing. (the injections aren't much fun though!).
  3. Can't really add much to what's already been said. Sound advice to give propecia a try. If you're worried about side effects, I have heard of people reducing the dose by half (or take every other day) and still managing to maintain.
  4. That sounds a reasonable estimate and should ensure you achieve a nice density. Without meds you're likely to continue to recede though. Have you ruled them out or is it something you'd consider if necessary?
  5. I saw this too. Certainly looked thicker. Quite promising at this early stage.
  6. Opening post edited to add in that 'after' pics were taken at around the one year mark.
  7. Good to know things have started happening. It's a stressful time waiting for those first hairs to appear, but it should all be good from here.
  8. It's the cheapest option and worth a go to see if it suits you. I've tried it myself in the past and it certainly was liberating to be free from all the thickening sprays etc.
  9. Very true. Old age sucks but it's better than the alternative. That's a really powerful video. Incredible dedication from him to keep it up all those years.
  10. Thanks a lot guys. I'll check with Mick on this. I suspect they were taken around the year mark.
  11. This young transgender patient had completed all her surgeries and was left with only her hair to complete. She was recommended to us by a patient friend and is delighted with the outcome. We transplanted just over 2000 follicular units to improve the front and top. Her results are shown approximately one year after her procedure.
  12. Big improvement from where you started and plenty of time for it to get even better. Congrats.
  13. The OP has gone quiet since starting this thread. I agree it looks good. Would be good if he could answer the question of which doc performed it.
  14. The numbers/density are low for the area covered, but fingers crossed you get a good yield and growth as Spanker says. You'll certainly need further procedures to get decent coverage but hopefully this will at least provide a base for you to work from. All the best and keep us posted.
  15. Hopefully the meds will help maintain/thicken up your crown, and combined with a transplant should make for a nice result. Keep us posted.
  16. Definitely give the meds a chance to stabilise your situation before considering a transplant, then reassess things in a year or so.
  17. Another thumbs-up here for combed back style. Looks so natural. Congrats.
  18. Yeah I agree. Maybe worth taking another pic in six months or so for reassurance but I don't think you've anything to worry about.
