  1. You're looking good Micknick, keep your head up, mentally and literally.....and you will be fine. On a side note, I think the medications are a bit over-rated anyway. I've never taken a drug for hair stability or growth and I've had two surgeries and over 7,000 grafts and I'm 55 years old. Best of luck to you and keep us informed of your progress.
  2. Great suggestions above. My hair loss was very similar to yours based on your narrative. I had my first transplant in September of 2012 as well. I had my second surgery in January of 2015. You really need to have a personal consultation so the doctor can fully examine your donor area and previous results. You may be surprised how much donor hair you have available. I've had over 7,000 grafts moved and have plenty more available if I had a third surgery. I was on display with Dr. Vories at an international convention for hair restoration surgeons and dozens of surgeons examined my head. Many encouraged me to have another surgery. Share some photos on this site and if you want to see my journey you can see everything at .... MyFUEhairtransplant.com Best of luck with your decision and keep us posted on this website.
  3. Best of luck to you and keep us posted with pictures post surgery. Congrats on your decision to have a hair transplant. I'm sure you will be pleased with Dr. Nader's work.
  4. I have to agree with "mikeyhwk". You may just be experiencing the natural thinning process related to genetics. The transplanted hair is most likely stable and prominently visible. I'm curious to know your age. If you're in your 20's or 30's its probably your original hair thinning. Just a thought.
  5. I glad you found a doctor your comfortable with. This website does provide lots of before/after pictures and testimonials from patients of many doctors including Dr. Diep. Best of luck and keep us up to date with more pictures going forward. You will be very happy you made the hair transplant decision.
  6. Great results Dr. Doganay. Implanter pins were also used in my surgery. Dr. Vories is also a fan of Hans Implanter pins. Congrats on the great work. I'm sure your patient is thrilled with the results.
  7. Great work with relatively few grafts Dr. Beehner. Glad you're patient is pleased. Hairline looks very nice.
  8. Great results with relatively few grafts. I'm glad you're pleased. Looks like you have lots of donor options down the road if you need them. Sorry to hear about Dr. De Reys issues with the person scamming his patients. Hope he was able to find a way to make it up to those taken advantage of...without his knowledge. Happy growing. Take care of those new grafts.
  9. Best of luck to you "Tbcruz". I've never taken any meds for hair stability or growth. I also have blonde hair like you referenced in an earlier post. You can see more of my before/afters at ....MyFUEhairtransplant.com. Best of luck on your doctor search and thanks for reaching out and posting on the hair restoration website. Keep posting your results for all of us to see.
  10. Great job using this website to help with your decision on surgeons. Do your homework and choose the surgeon you're most comfortable with. I'm really glad you're going with FUE. Strip surgery was never an option for me. I just didn't want that linear scar forever. FUT results are very good but I believe FUE results are just as good with no "visible" scarring. Full disclosure.... I'm an advocate for Dr. Vories but its hard to beat the $4-5 per graft price and he does every extraction and every placement of grafts. He has been doing only FUE surgeries for many years and he only does one surgery per day. Also, he was recently the President of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. You can see my results at .... MyFUEhairtransplant.com. I've been posting pictures since 2012. Look in the archives and see my journey from beginning to the present. Best of luck to you. You have a lot to look forward to.
  11. I'm so glad your seeing growth this time around and thanks for posting updates along the way. Your difinately moving in a positive direction.
  12. Thanks for the video before/afters. Nicely done. I'm sure your patient is very happy with the results.
  13. It's always interesting to see FUT docs move towards FUE. I suspect more will make the move over time because more patients want new hair without the lengthy linear scar. FUT yields very good results but so does FUE and you can look forward to no "visible" scarring.
  14. Wow, what an ordeal getting to your final destination. Sounds like your surgeon was very supportive. Pictures look good. You have a lot to look forward to with that new hairline. How many grafts were transplanted?
  15. I'm assuming your considering FUE to avoid another scar but plan on having another FUT scar down the road? A relatively small 1,000 graft FUE would avoid another FUT scar. You might want to consider FUE from here on out and possibly cover your current FUT scar. A skilled FUE surgeon could do that if your interested. Best of luck to you.
  16. I absolutely agree with "pkipling". I recommend always wearing a hat outdoors if your head is going to be exposed for a significant period of time. Your head is healed but your hair is still probably thin in areas. Just be safe and wear a hat to avoid sun exposure.
  17. I have to agree with "mattj". You really need to have a consultation with the doctor of your choice and find out exactly how many grafts you need including an examination of your donor area to see how much it may yield. In comparison, Dr. Vories who extracts and places every graft costs $4-5 per graft depending on total number of grafts.
  18. Regarding the original question.....I had a second surgery in 2015 and had photos taken after my head was shaved preparing for the second surgery. You could see NO visible scarring from the first surgery in a donor area where at least 1,750 grafts were harvested. Sure...there must be scars from thee 0.8 mm punch used but they are hardly discernible. I will post a picture stored on my PC later this morning.
  19. Quite a difference for only 2,000 grafts. Once again, I'm sure your patient is thrilled with the result.
  20. Great results Dr. Vories.....but I'm not surprised. Direct him to my website where he may be interested in seeing pictures after my second surgery. MyFUEhairtransplant.com
  21. I always encourage everyone to do their homework, research the doctors before/after photos or videos and go with the doctor you're most comfortable with. Sounds like you have been doing this. Use of technicians was a factor for me. One reason I chose Dr. Vories was because he extracts and places every graft himself. Best of luck to you. You have a lot to look forward to.
  22. Excellent results Dr. Vories....but obviously I'm not surprised. This patients hair loss looked very similar to mine before you worked your artisan magic on me in 2012. I'm sure your patient is thrilled with the results.
  23. Looking good Oscarito. You will see great results during that 4th and 5th month. That's also when I saw the best growth rate. After that it will appear to be thickening and your hairline will look much more prominent. You have a lot to look forward to.
  24. I'm sure your doctor packed 3,000 well positioned grafts but if you shave that down your definitely going to see irregularities in growth. Like the others said in this post.....grow it and enjoy it. Looking forward to the pictures.
