  1. I’m glad your very happy with the results so far. I can’t imagine that your recipient area looked the same after two weeks but if that’s your recollection....good for you and congrats to your doctor. I’m sure you will see continued growth and thickening in the coming weeks/months. After including your travel expenses, what was the final cost per graft in Austria?
  2. Excellent results Dr. Erdogan. I’m sure the patient is thrilled with the results. Donor area looks very good. Well done Sir.
  3. Keep doing your homework and you may need to ask your surgeon more questions based on well informed folks on this website. Choosing 1,000 triples is time consuming and the first I’ve heard on this website. Be careful, this is a very important and expensive decision for you.
  4. Congratulations.... You have a lot to look forward to. Keep us posted on your progress with pictures and updates.
  5. Thanks for your input on the overseas operations. My experiences were quite different. All of the grafts (over 7,000 in two surgeries) were extracted and placed by Dr. Vories. I’m not sure I would want to see a hectic clinic with doctors jumping from room to room while techs apparently do much of the work.
  6. It would be rare for the harvested grafts to retain those hairs and actually see growth after 10 weeks. Try not to worry about that too much. Shock-loss and transplanted hairs falling out is quite normal. Send us more pictures in a few months when you start to see the new hair growth.
  7. Thanks for the pictures. You must have had a healthy donor area to go with 4,000 additional grafts. I’m curious to know how many grafts were harvested during your first surgery? I too have had two surgeries. 5,200 grafts in 2012 and 2,000 more in 2015. Best of luck to you.
  8. Wow... over 5,000 surgeries in 12 years? Do the math....that comes to 416 surgeries per year. Based on your list of what the doctor does himself, it would be difficult to perform more than one procedure per day..on average. So... lets assume he only works 5 days per week on average. He would have had to perform nearly two surgeries (1.6) every work day for 12 years. Hummm, interesting.
  9. I agree with most everyone above. Yes..26 is quite young but many in their mid-20s have procedures done. Consult with a good reputable surgeon and get their advice. Try to upload some photos here and we can offer our opinions based on our own personal experiences. We understand your frustrations with hair loss but be patient and certainly make a well informed decision.
  10. Yes...I live in the Louisville area and would be more than happy to talk with you. I just sent you a private message with my contact info. I’ve met others in the past at local coffee shops in the Louisville area so they could see my hair first-hand and I can answer any questions. Hope to hear from you soon.
  11. All of my grafts were removed with a 0.8mm punch. I had a second surgery done and when my head was shaved there was no discernible scarring from the previous surgery. Clearly, scarring results but the tiny white dots are just not noticible. Best of luck to you.
  12. Looks like its starting to fill in much nicer at the one year point. Some guys are “late-bloomers”. Hopefully it will thicken up some in the coming months as well. Glad you seem to be pleased at this point.
  13. I agree with everyone above, do your homework on this website, take your time, schedule a consult, and choose the doctor you’re most comfortable with. I had surgery with Carolina Hair Surgery in 2012. Dr. Vories consults with all his patients via web consult online as well as in person at one of his two clinics. He maps out a plan for you and extracts and places all of the grafts himself. Best of luck with your decision and your off to a great start comunicating on this website. To see my before/afters since 2012 visit my website at My FUE Hair Transplant.
  14. Great results Matt. With results like that I'm not sure why some would chose FUT and that linear scar. Well done Sir.
  15. Nice results in 6 months Dr. Vories, but I'm really not surprised. Wow...the sharp punches keep getting smaller. Good for you....and especially good for your patient. I see no discernible scarring from the 0.80 mm punch (0.75...is even better). Also, when I hear from prospective clients of yours....they often mention that they are glad you are extracting and implanting all the grafts yourself.
  16. Looking good, yes....wait about a year before your next surgery. Don't jump into that decision too quickly. Keep growing Alex.
  17. The redness will take a while to dissipate completely but on the other hand it indicates that things are "percolating" under the skin in that area. You're looking good. Hey if you want to compare check out my photos on my website. I documented my entire journey and lots of guys take a look and compare progress. Go to.... MyFUEhairtransplant.com....and click on the archives at the right and go to September 2012 and go forward from there. Keep us updated with pictures here. Keep "growing" Tbcruz.
  18. Wow, what a transformation for this guy Dr. Vories. I'm sure he is absolutely thrilled with the results. Congratulations to him and to Carolina Hair Surgery.
  19. Great results! I'm sure the patient is thrilled. This guy appears to have great density. Super results. Well done Dr. Wesley.
  20. I had my first surgery (over 5,000 grafts) in 2012. I had my second surgery about 2 years later. After my head was shaved for the second surgery, Dr. Vories photographed my donor area. Approximately 1,700 grafts were taken from this area with a 0.8 mm punch. I agree that any surgery will produce scarring but I felt like mine was barely discernible and I'm sure no one would notice without it being pointed out to them that surgery had taken place. This is my observation, I'm sure others may see things differently.
  21. Good posts in this thread. One thing we know for sure...we all go through the "awkward teenage" stage. Whether it includes redness for 3 weeks or 3 months the "percolation" under the skin assures us that new growth is on the way. People seemed to care-less about any redness I displayed. Your patience will result in great pleasure down the hair-growth road.
  22. Your pictures look similar to me prior to my first surgery in 2012. Take a look at my results. I've posted pictures during my whole journey to the present. ....MyFUEhairtransplant.com. Best of luck with your decision and keep us posted with your progress.
  23. I think Bill and Mattj are spot-on. Post some pictures for us to see. I'm really curious to see your process and results. I know your anxious but hang in there and be patient. You should be just fine.
