    So sorry to hear this. Can you tell us how many grafts were transplanted? Hope you can find resources over time and can have another transplant if your donor area is strong enough.

    Great results Spidey. Super success story. I happened to notice the comment early on it the thread regarding FUT vs. FUE. Not sure I would agree that FUT is the best choice for NW level 4 or higher. I was a NW-6 and have done quite well with FUE and over 7,000 grafts. I never wanted that lengthy linear scar. I understand that folks have differing perspectives regarding this. Once again, congrats on your great results Spidey. Happy New Year to you and others on this thread.

    Have you had episodes of this before, prior to your transplant? You may want to consult your surgeon or general practitioner. I’m just wondering if the local anesthesia has anything to do with it. Let’s see if others post with similar experiences.

    I would suggest keeping your dads photos in this thread so we can see some growth comparisons. A relatively rare father/son transplant pictures would be interesting to see....and compare, regarding growth rates. Sorry to hear about your dads FUT scar and "dent". I'm also curious to know why you chose FUE and he chose the strip surgery?

    Looking forward to hearing about your results. Turkey is certainly a popular place for transplants. I’m sure you checked, but make sure your health insurance covers you in Turkey. You’re unlikely to need it but its a common reminder when traveling abroad.

    I agree with Bill and Melvin, FUE isn’t scarless. FUE and FUSS are both options that show very good results. Personally, I just didn’t want the linear scar. I’ve posted this picture many times but thought I would share it again. This picture was taken about two years after my first transplant and just minutes before my second procedure. This area shown in the picture from my first surgery yielded about 1,750 grafts using a 0.8 mm punch. Visible scarring was certainly minimal.

    You’re going to be just fine.     Ask your doctor but I’m sure you’re just fine. I had what I called “scab grit” about the same number of days after surgery. I actually massaged my head a bit too much in the shower and the “grit” kind of scratched my already numb scalp. Best of luck, you have lots to look forward to.

    Hope you continue to see progress beyond the 6 month mark and I hope your hair loss has stabilized at your age. My hair loss and recession leveled off about the same time (35 years). I had my first surgery at age 50. Good luck to you and stay in touch with us with more photos in a couple months.

    Wow, what a great narrative on your experience! A .8mm punch was used during my surgeries as well. I’m posting this picture (as I have done many times) so you can see what your donor area will look like about 2 years after your surgery. This photo was taken an hour before my second FUE surgery to touch up some areas. This area yielded about 1,750 grafts two years earlier. There really is no discernible scarring to the untrained eye.

    Looking very good. Also looks like the redness is fading as well. Keep us posted monthly on the network, especially around that 3-4 month range when those new hairs percolate through.

    Always consult your doctor but you should be fine going back to the gym, especially after two weeks. Your grafts are well intact and safely embedded. Best of luck to you, keep us posted monthly with photos and updates. You have lots to look forward to.
