  1. In such large procedures, it may be good two break up the procedures into multiple days. Dr Keser i think limits grafts to 800 a day? Not sure if he still does this today, but a lot of his real cases presented by patients themselves indicate high yield rates. I think i heard he mostly works on virgin scalps but you may need to clarify. Another Turkish doc that does extractions himself is Dr Karadeni . Try to get consults from a couple of docs and ask about their surgical protocol for FUE. Good Luck
  2. Paleo, see how the donor looks in few months and keep all documentation. Some surgeons should recognize a scatterred extraction pattern may avoid any slightest hints of donor halos. Granted some patients of other doctors may have more distinct halos in extraction areas. Not to take away from your concern. If such concerns are real for all surgeons, then they need to put realistic photos on their websites and forum hosted presentations of how things will really be after surgerie(s) instead of showing flawless donors and hairline densities and designs. To do so otherwise is deception and marketing fraud, just to get folks in the chair. The best way to see a surgeons capability is to review real cases like Paleo, who have no financial gain or discounts or other deals/incentives from any surgeon now or in future. Havent had a chance to review some posts, but do you know the extraction punch sizes used in your surgery? Was it 1mm or less etc? Where you given estimate of your available donor area? Have you gotten any input from other doctors? Good luck buddy.
  3. Paleo, please archive everything and keep steady documentation from this point to the 12 month mark. Review and assess in few months. Gather multiple opinions across forums and compare and contrast.. Wish you the best.
  4. The work looks great in those pics! Visually, It flows naturally without any odd distinction noticeable. The guys physiology and head shape pulls off the shaved look good too. It really suits him.
  5. Td, i actually know the aches and pains of what a see through hairline can do. I know it very well, even after more than 4400 grafts... I totally agree, these forum representations of luscious hair in the front need to be shown combed backwards. If its wet before than show it wet after. I really hate it when some docs even comb your own native hair forward, to add artificial density in a photo to the area where the docs has made incisions. Some do this in photos and it may even confuse the stuff out of the patient thinking something positive is goin on. Anyway, bottom line is it is mentioned you need to give permission for doc to basically give his versions of the stories after he has comminicated with the forum partners. If you are willing to do this, document everything accordingly including any posts made or etc., make sure you keep contant refreshes to note any visual text changes and edits if any. Aside from that, will you be willing to post your situation with wet hair and dry hair side by side slicked back for users to get an idea of the gravity of the concern? Would really like to know the density planted in tecipient zone for hairline and groupings, it may help guage it. Best of luck and j hope you get that resolve.
  6. Absolutely agree. It is hard to recover in that short period of time. I had to take at least 2-3 weeks off to kind of get by, even then i was struggling. This was FUE. I dont know how some professionals can say so otherwise? Def takes more than a month or two
  7. Some surgeons wait until they have your deposit to send you such paperwork and some may only let you view informed consents at their office and only on the day of surgery. There are few surgeons that openly disclose everything prior to deposit. I think it is best to go to those that give you plenty of time and inform of everything involved up front prior to a deposit. Once they have your money, it is non-refundable in almost all cases. I think for more and more people to avoid surgeons with such practices, entity recommended or not, for their own safety and comfort in the long run. You don't want to be in position where things screw up during the procedure or something happens to be stuck with a doc that says oh well you signed this and sorry i dont have to help you etc etc etc... After all, this is a major artistic form of highly visible cosmetic surgery. This is why some folks rarely report on the forums but talk about their mishaps behind the scenes. I know multiple folks that had to go for touchups or from some forum reported high skill docs, where they dont mention it online. I also know of folks with cases where the doctors did wrong and do not refund or help patient after everything was done, most of these cases have been reported to proper powerful authorities including closed/open forum posts, if any. It is always important to view entire surgical consent forms up front priot to deposit being paid and I can't stress this enough. If the doc does not disclose this, then move onto another doctor that does. But every part of this process needs to be done with transparency with no surprises later. I dont care if a doc is business or forum recommended or not, transparancy with paperwork prior to deposit should be a priority in this industry. It saves a lot if headache.
  8. No prob, my pleasure. It's convenient to know you can pay less tgan 80% the cost and still get surgery where a proper surgical protocol is followed (where surgeon does the extraction and incisions and focuses only on you the day of your surgery). Let us know how things go and what you decide. Wish you the best.
  9. It could be either way. The idea is to not have too many grafts placed in a zone that already has diminished blood supply due to existing scar tissue from your previous surgery. So scatterred would be safter then to risk all grafts again in the same zone at once. If you are doing a 1000 grafts extra to repair your hairline, which is evident, then do 500 now and 500 a year later. If you do all 1000 now, you may risk more than 50% to follicle death and lack of yield. Some docs wont tell you that, they dont inform you like this when they need your $$$. Thats why it is really good to bring regulatory bodies to the discussion tables and have them review business entities, their posts, their relationships, the doctors and how they market, the deletions, the claims, the agreements, the promises, the doctors methods, the standards, the communications, the doctors surgical methods, the use of techs, the machines used, the yield claims, the informed consent forms, etc every angle. It draws the right folks in at the right time.
  10. At least your hairline looks pretty symmetrical. It may be better facially framed then most folks who have a hairline procedure. How many fingers can you fit from top of your eyebrows to the start of the hairline? Is the hieght from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of your chin, the same distance up top? Usually some docs will tell you they will give you a hairline which you agree to in emails and convos then at surgery time they may pull that here is what i think card and disagree with you and etc., it is the only way for you to get in their chair and pay and they dictate some rules later after youve made the trip. So, see how this looks when grown out. See even if the doc even has had success woth the growth. Because if you have growth issues in the hairline where doc has transected or caused shockloss then it will look very conservative if you are missing adequate density. In the meantime from that pic, it doesnt look too bad but keep an eye on the growth. For your safety, document your progress and keep hd pics and if possible videos of your progress. Post pics when you can for input, but use multiple forums as some forums may have doctor trolls that will argue with you to play you down. Right now, no one knows how this will end up in terms of growth/design, but as the months progress, they should be able to get a better picture. Wish you the best and happy growing.
  11. After looking at your pic, i can COMPLETELY understand the situation. You will get those stares from folks because it stands out to people, especially if you are in close vicinity and take part in multiple business meetings per day. Just be careful and In my opinion, repair yourself in baby steps. Utilize a doctor that is known for superior FUE yield. The doctor should do all extractions and incisions by themselves and only focus on you as the patient of the day. This has to be done nice and slow as you do not want to risk shockloss. I can understand where you coming from though. Get estimates from docs both on this forum and not mentioned on this forum.
  12. At the bare minimum, as long as the surgical extractions and incisions are done by the doctor and the doctor focuses in only you as tge patient during your surgery, then I think you will be safe. You dont want a distracted, highly technician driven doctor. After all, you are paying for the docs expertise and no one elses. Good luck!
  13. 5000 grafta is a lot... What if somethin happens and you need more for a repair kr what if you develop serious shockloss in your recipient or donor areas? Think it through logically and see if this is a safe bet. Trust me, i may have been blessed with great donor density but it is turning out to be a nightmare.... Im tryna get past these things asap and actually be repaired with a proper surgical protocol inclusive of proper framing, donor repair and recipient repair. Get multiple consults to see how each varies. No doubt dr Erdogan does great affordable work but the count is quite high. Hopefully the procedure is broken up into multiple procedures versus just one sittinginquire about who will do surgical extractions, the techs or the doctor? Best of luck
  14. Be careful with dense packing. Do you know what your density planted was? Was it 65cm or higher or lower? Wreckless packing may do you more harm then good. Dont believe in the numbers as they cant be definite if promised a certain density. Think this through... Also be careful of any shock to the donor as well. You wont get info like that on the day of procedure... It is a risky thing.... Best of luck
  15. At this point, i definitely hate them. Esp when you have uneven density and framing and shockloss areas of donor. Cant even get a proper fade anymore.
  16. Shockloss is a real phenomenon regardless if it is multiple procedures or not. If a surgeon dense packs in a zone, there is a strong possibility your hairs could die. Your donor can also get a halo or loss of density shockloss effect. It depends on how the procedure was performed and what the surgeons surgical protocol is. Be cautious and proceed carefully...As some docs dont give you proper information when they have the customer in front of them...
  17. The texture of your donor hair may be in your favor. However, i dont think there are confident surgeons in the east coast that may be able to take you with the history you mentioned. BUT, you still have beard, body, scalp hair experts that successfully attain results with cases like yours. You got one in California, another in Belgium, another in Turkey. that is if you prefer docs that are confident in their FUE. Based on the current situation, strip should me avoided imo. Take a look at williams dr de reys post, or couple of dr unar cases, or Bisanga, Lupanzula, erdogan, ali, etc etc for free consults. Id urge you to research carefully. Wish you the best.
  18. Extremely conservative approach but i hope it grows well. Some scalp and facial structures cant support higher levels of conservatism, however, you may just want to wait and see how it turns out. My own concern is the yield and rates of ARTAS. Few docs posted results with Artas across various forums but the yield comparisons did not look equal to manual doctor hand surgical labor cases. Some docs have stopped using it and reported the machine did not work for them so it is collecting dust. One thing you have to ask yourself is, did you pay a doc to do surgery or did you pay a doc to have surgery by the machine he/she owns? Bottom line is you deserve a great result, wait it out, take monthly photos in hd and even video if need be. Document everything for your safety. If it turns out uneven or hairline looks distinctly noticeable, tell that doc to either repair it or refund you for suggesting a pattern against your original wishes. In fact, i would urge you to send in all pics and correspondence to ftc if things go awry. This is exactly the type of stuff being collected due to the level of harm and deception, marketing fraud in the industry. If there are business entities that pop up to discount your experience, that should also be forwarded along with dates and times and screenshots of posts, exchanges. Wish you the best. I really hope it turns out well for you.

  20. Wallace, Turkey and India are excellent locations. Especially, if you find a doc that does the work themselves. Surgical incisions and Extractions. Prices are very reasonable there too. If i could turn back time, i would have been in safer place where i could have all extractions done by a doc only that only focused on me for that day. On the other hand im having to wait for repair, get an expensive biopsy test out my pockets and play for all travel and airline tickets pertaining to my repair and lose time off of work again and etc, all that is pssed on to the patient who needs repair. So go with the doc that delivers and does the work and slowly with a fair price and ethically focuses on you.
  21. FUE has been achievable in cases similar ro yours. Id say consult a couple of doctors, those docs that visible in online marketing and those that dont partake in forum marketing techniques. There are unfound gems out there. Look at the costs, the quality, andformer patienta if availavle. Cost doesnt mean nothing as to how some marketers may portray. You can have a guy that charges $2 bucks a graft outperform a guy that charges $8. To say that higher cost equates to higher quality is downright fraud according to communication etc regs per the FTC. You can have a guy tgat pays much more and end up with a poor result and even more harmed after with multiple procedures. Trust me i know a few. So, the key here is to be transparent. Im bein transparent by telling you to get consults from docs that indulge in heavy forum marketing and those that are not heard of online. Weigh the pros and cons and see if proper surigcal procedures are followed and that NO TECH extracts your grafts. Your paying for a doctor to work on you and any surgical incision or extraction should only be done by a doc. I dont care how artificially inflated a doc presence is, but a doc should do the job if you are paying a premium. It aggravates me to see few docs, such as in Turkey that do the entire fue procedure themselves and come out with excellent resulta and yet the consumer only pays like $1-2 per graft. Yet we have clinics here tht invoke fear of travel or their reps do and mention all the negativities about it. Honestly, i think i wish i can turn back time. Im being basically told to get an expensive biopsy test out of my pocket as a prerequisite to my repair. This is even when military docs cleared me of the suspected condition the doc claims he thought i had.. Being told i will have to pay for my own expensive airline tickets and suffer more damages, in order to get repaired where the doc couldnt deliver. Not many people know these things but it is really making me think about what i went through. Then there are patients who boast about the clinic going out of their way to help me. Help me? it is always wise not to comment on someones procedure based on what you are told regarding that patient. So, i just wanted to let you know. Dont believe everything. Talk to real patients and not celebrities or folks advicating a clinic or defending one profusely. Just do your own research. If you in the area i can show you my donor and hairline density right now in person.
  22. What was the density planted in the zones? Do you know? Was it 65cm or less? Hope you get the results you seek but keep an eye on your progress with HD pics for your records. Make sure you have uniformity amongst the density as well as the outline when it is all grown out. Density sessions seem to be risky as not what some doctora disclose. Keep an eye on your donor too, the last thinkg you want is a shockloss visible area. Did the doc work on most of your surgery or technicians? Best of luck.
  23. There are a couple of surgeons in Turkey that produce decent work and at rates that can save thousands. Example 1.5 Euro a graft. Have you looked at the ishrs list of docs in Turkey??
  24. Ask yourself a few questions to start off: Are you comfortable with having a large procedure done in one day or would you like to have it broken up into two procedures Are you comfortable having a nonphysician extract your grafts or would you like a doctor to do this? How much are you comfortable in paying?
  25. Wish you the best! Keep up the documentation and photos month to month. It will help assess the case when the results growth timeline is over.
