  1. No its doesnt end.. I wanted to share with all of you that yesterday i had a live consultation with Dr. FERIDUNI in Belgium..i have to say he is such a great professional in his approach; the way he draws the hairline, measures the donor capacity, and determine the units needed..all based on pure math and done thru advanced tools..i felt i was sitting with a hair engineer and that gave me lot of comfort..but not only so he also seemed to be a true human...listens well to questions, giving answers elaborating etc..and always carrying a smile on his face.. Now the question that you all should be having in mind is what did he quote me; well he quoted 3,200 grafts to reconstruct the hairline bringing it slightly down while filling the crown areas..also dense packin the middle area and the vertex..this is far more comforting than the 5000 i was quoted before in Istanbul.. This said I have taken my decision to go ahead with Dr Feriduni in June and i do hope the results would turn to be as satisfying as the consultation had been.. Cheers to all
  2. Hey James..i live in lebanon..i flied all the way to istanbul its a 3 hr flight and had a live consultation with the doctor which based upon the reccommendation was given..actually i dont really think its a money thing bc am sure a clinic as such that is consistently occupied with patients is doing lots of money..i think its.more about short term results gaurenteeing good results even in the event of srgery failure..if worst comes to worst and the yiled is at 50 percent this would still be 2500 grafts which would still produce a decent result..i guess this is the main philosophy and this philosophy ofcourse is at the expense of the donor which is scarce and for sure is a big draw back on the mid and long term..in other terms if i go ahead with the 5000 grafts today am very much sure that i will be very happy post the operation..but would i be so 5 or 10 years down the road with no donor buffer left what so ever..
  3. Yah I have to admit that I was shocked myself, I was very much excited about Dr erdogan and when I heard the 5000 thing It was a knock down for me; I felt that he really didn't care at all about any future plan; it was very much transactional for him; I came in very excited and went out feeling down and dissapointed. . My plan now is to consult Dr feriduni; I will plan a flight to Brussel so that he can examine me and than probably arrange for a day to do the ht; I heard his very ethical and caring for his patients and also one of the best fue surgeons out there.. I would appreciate any feedback or experiences with Dr feriduni, Many thanks to all
  4. Thank you all for the feedback and advise..I can't agree more with all what has been said; I was very excited about Dr erdogan but now it seems very much worrying especially that a long term plan has not been taken into perspective which leaves me with serious doubts; I will seek consultation from other surgeon, am considering now doctor Feriduni; the only thing is that am not sure how much he charges per graft, whether he performs Manuel graft extraction, and how feasible would it be to book an operation in the coming few months given his loaded schedule.. Would appreciate advise on the same and thank you all alot for your valuable advise, Bests
  5. Hi janna Thx for the advise, 3500 in the frontal area crown and hairline and 1500 at the vertex
  6. Thank you James for the advise, the only thing is that the HT will be split over 2 days, 2500 grafts per day. What am worried about is the number of grafts in my case. Would I actually require 5000 grafts..
  7. Dear All, Thank you for this super beneficial platform that has been nicely put together to enable us all hair loss sufferers to communicate together and share our learnings and experiences while also seek advise. A quick brief about myself, am 30 years old, started to loose my hair at the age of 19, been on propecia for 9 years with some breaks in between. I had my 1st FUT at the age on 25 with almost 2000 grafts planted in the Crown area and temples, that was quiet successful with a very minimal back scare that is barely there. My hair loss has been relatively stable for the past years with minimal hair loss progression most probably halted by propecia. I plan now to do my 2nd HT, thru FUE to refine my hairline, dense the frontal area and also the vertex. Based on online research I decided to go to Turkey and get a consultation from Dr. Koray Erdogan given his very solid online reputation. I arrived to the clinic, have to stay it's state of art. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They took pictures of my hair, than took me to meet the doctor. The doctor examined my donor area, my recipient area, asked me about my expectations which I answered to. He was clear that HT is not a perfect process and that results can vary from one person to another which was somehow discomforting. He stated that i had a total of 8600 grafts in my donor, and that the requirement for my HT would be 5000 grafts. 5000 grafts was very surprising to me as I see it too much in my case and would also leave me with little buffer if any for the future. For that am very confused and reconsidering and so I am seeking advise and feedback Attached are my pictures along with the hair line drawing. Do you think 5000 grafts is a bit too much in my case. Appreciate everyone's input, Thx
