    It all looks good blue moon. The hairs are just dead shafts and the stem cell that will create new ones are safely in your scalp at this stage. Prepare yourself to see lots of strange looking hairs shedding over the next couple of weeks. It can be very alarming to see those hairs shed but is all part of the process. I am not sure that you should be washing your hair several times a day but that would explain why your scabs/crusts are coming off so quickly and hairs will be attached to these scabs/crusts. As I said it all looks perfectly fine so please relax.

    UKFUE, I actually had 3 bad ops in the UK, that was back in 1996-98 so things have moved on a good deal since then so would be irrelevant in terms of the quality of work that some of the top clinics in the UK are now offering. Each session was for around 500 grafts and I had mini and micro grafts after 3 sessions and 3 different scars I realised that transplants back then were not going to give me even close to what I thought was possible and needed on a NW6. Thankfully I stopped when I did and was able to move enough donor hair with Dr Hasson to correct what had been done. But it does still serve as a reminder to those considering surgery at such a young age, 23 in my case and not being stable and heading for advanced loss.

    It is very early to be loosing that many grafts. Are you washing your hair daily and what pressure are you using to do this? What I see from your photos is quite normal and seeing the hairs in the crusts is what everyone goes through. Are you saying you were loosing hundreds of grafts per day or hundreds of grafts between day 4-8?

    No I am not saying that and am not privy to that kind of information but it looks kinda like it might be a system from that photo. He may of course just be blessed with great hair and looks.

    Hang in there you are at the hardest part in my opinion but there is a least light at the end of the horizon now.

    I find that most patients tend to revert back to the hair style they know in general not that many guys wear their hair that way, we tend to go back to the way we used to see ourselves before we lost hair. Guys wearing hair systems tend to brush the hair forward in such a way to cover the hairline like Enrique is. You would need good density to pull off the fringe as Gillenator says brushing it back or across provides better coverage. But there is no restriction on how you wear your hair you will find the best way that suits you and most likely stick with it. It might take a while to work out this best style and length it did in my case. Here is the best example I could find of a guy brushing his hair forward into a long fringe.

    This Doctor is not active on the forums so I doubt you will find much about him. His gallery is very limited in terms of non celebrity patients he seems to focus on the celebrity patients so read into that what you will. If you are interested in him ask to see some results of previous patients or ask to meet one of his patients in person.

    As others have said 2000 grafts is unlikely to give you anything but a hairline and sparse coverage over the frontal area of the scalp. Buzzed down very short it might look ok if the contrast between your hair and scalp is not too harsh. Grown out to any length and it is not going to look good at all.

    All is good with me and agreed photos seem to be loading faster and so is the website in general.

    Hi Loki, Thanks for the comment and sorry for missing it until now. I had the temporary SMP and for me it lasted around 6 months, I did not however have a second pass or any touch ups. It looked really good for the first 4 months into my crown but dropped out of my old scar very quickly.

    This patient in his mid 30's from Alberta reached out to us via an online consultation in the fall of 2013. In December of the same year he came to the clinic for his procedure. He was taking Propecia at the time of his surgery. Dr. Wong rebuild the hairline and frontal zone blending into the mid scalp with 3550 grafts. Of which 1007 were singles, 2303 doubles, 240 were 3-4 hair grafts. The strip size was 21cm x 1.7 cm. Ironically, he returned to the clinic for these follow photos exactly one year to the day of his surgery to show us his result.

    Thanks very much for your comments guys and for the patient to film and allow us to use his video. In answer to the question about meds this patient has not used in the past and is reluctant to use going forward. After inspecting his scalp in person he has great characteristics and a ton more hair that he could move in the future if the loss starts to extend back towards the crown. I shot some great video of his scar and donor and took a range of photos which are being put together for use on this forum. Stay tuned....

    Yes agreed and you know more than others having been through it twice before. It will be interesting to know how you find the wait time after having been through it twice before. Patients that had bad experiences the first time around can find it even more stressful whilst patients who had experienced good growth and were happy first time generally find it much easier. Just generalizing of course as everyone is different.

    Different Doctors have varying opinions on this subject but once the scar has healed and changed colour from red to white will you only be totally sure of not stretching it. That usually occurs between 4-7 months but of course varies from patient to patient. As Loki said avoid certain lifts and exercises and start off slow with lower weights and higher repetition if you feel a pull at the back of your head/neck then stop.

    You sound like you are doing just fine gently massage them away but do not pick or scratch them off. My advice would be a long soak under the shower or in the bath as Squatch says and then gently towel dry your hair. A couple of days of doing that and they should be nearly all gone. You could try vitamin E oil at this stage but check with your clinic if they are happy with this.

    That's a really nice turnaround for this guy I can only imagine how happy he must be feeling to look normal again after all these years.

    Your hair looks decent at your age you could do something to lower the left temple maybe thicken the hairline, I say maybe because it is unclear whether it is possible to do so. You appear to have fine blond hair and lots of it so it may not be possible to add density into the hairline without causing damage to some of the native hairs. The rest of your scalp appears to be in good shape so the risk in your case seems to be on the lower side but with you not being on meds and your father and mothers father both loosing hair once they got to your age the risk increases, if there is a danger that you will end up like your dad it would not be wise to be lowering that hairline. Only you can decide how much your temple recession bothers you, guys in a similar position can of course relate and you should look for similar cases on here. You of course need to know that if the hairline does continue to recede then you are committed to chase it with further surgeries.

    Sure it's possible to go into the same areas of transplanted hair to add further density. As long as the clinic is experienced take my case as an example I had a further session at the end of 2013 to add density into the frontal third this has grown in very well despite it being the fifth time work has been carried out in this area and that includes three sessions of mini and micro grafts which caused a significant amount of scar tissue, pitting and ridging. Of course there are factors involved that need to be judged on a case by case basis. It is not so much the implanting that is the key here it is the incisions which you need to make sure are part of the surgeons role.
