  1. It seems my face has gone viral advertising a hair loss product called Vitahar and Brivon. I want to put on record I have never used (or even heard of until last week) of these products and do not endorse them.
  2. I will be holding free consultations in London on February 21st at the Thistle Hotel in Marble Arch and in Manchester at the Thistle Hotel in Portland Street on Saturday March 21st. The consultations will be one on one with myself a hair transplant veteran who has had 5 transplants spanning over 19 years. I will be able to explain our procedure in detail, answer any questions you have regarding surgery, show you what a transplant can look like on a Norwood 6 and take clear photos for a recommendation from either Dr Hasson or Dr Wong. If you would like to meet with me in person or for more information please email me on david@hassonandwong.com or call 0757 8164162. David
  3. A professional Hasson & Wong Patient Advisor will be in the following location for free hair restoration consultations. Toronto January 31st to February 1st Book an appointment by calling 1-800-859-2266, or emailing us at info@hassonandwong.com
  4. Great idea and having watched all the videos I wouldn't like to choose as all have their own reasons for getting surgery. For personal reasons the two repair patients Ty and Matt could be argued are the most worthy and in need of helping. That said Mark has made some real effort to put that video together and would be a great advocate for the clinic. Being biased would love to see Voxman win but not sure his wife could handle (or Voxman himself) all the extra groupies his new locks and even higher self confidence would bring
  5. Great photos and documentation really looking forward to see your results come in. Two month stage is tough one for sure but your patience will be rewarded soon enough.
  6. Just waiting now for the completion of the trilogy or prequel should I say. Sex Before FUT
  7. This patient in his mid 30's came to see Dr. Wong in Italy for a consultation on one of his annual visits to Milan. Dr. Wong felt he was a good candidate and a significant cosmetic improvement could be achieved. A total of 4119 grafts were used of which 1110 were singles, 2666 doubles and 343 3-4 hair grafts. The strip was 29 cm in length x 1.5 cm wide. The follow up visit was approx 15 months post-op depicted in the photos. He is taking Propecia.
  8. Sorry I missed the five month update. What a huge turnaround from your starting position and only five months so more to come in. So pleased for you and I can imagine how you must be feeling to have turned the corner on those dark days.
  9. Voxman- Classic response Abuzar- You will be fine at 9-10 days in my opinion. Hope you feel better.
  10. Win, The patient was 26 at the time of surgery and stable on meds which he has continued taking since the surgery. Thanks for your interest.
  11. Fullcoverage your results so far are very good big difference from your starting point. With your question about the new transplanted hair being curly and not blending with the donor area that is normal. You can clearly see the hair is frizzy and immature and can take up to 18 months maybe even longer to fully mature and settle down. This will be a thickening of the hair shaft in most cases and your hair will become less frizzy and curly and resemble the donor hair.
  12. The Docs from the UK that are recommended here are Reddy and Farjo and should be your starting place. You are wise to rebuild a new hairline and not follow your original one you have a lot of coverage required and if your donor is only average you are not going to be able to cover it all.
  13. Thanks very much for your comments and I hope you achieve your goals. My result has been a long time in the making. I just got my haircut today a bit shorter at the sides and back and will post some updated pics soon. All the best to you.
  14. High Hopes, You asked whether registered members could see your photos and just to let you know I was able to see them by clicking that link.
  15. Thanks Spitfire, which means it possibly wasn't received. I think when contacting clinics people need to be aware that if you haven't received a reply and several days have passed perhaps your email did not get through. It might be a case that clinics are slack with their replies or just very busy and take longer to get around to answering but sometimes mail just doesn't get through especially if you are attaching photos with that mail. Glad to hear you were able to help.
  16. Thanks for the heads up I appreciate it. We have experienced it many times over the last few years from stealing the odd photo usually Bobman or Nicnitro but this You Tube video below was the craziest and most blatant one I have seen which steals so many of our results. Perhaps they are saying come to Hasson & Wong https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoFHuOUF11w And here's me on MindKandy getting involved in a balding solution that horrifies hair doctors. I am waiting on my fee naturally.
  17. To give the clinic the benefit of doubt sometimes the old fashioned way works best and pick up the phone then you know that you have made contact with them. Whilst it is likely that your emails are getting through maybe for some reason they are not. I am sure you have a number of questions and having a chat might be the best way to answer these. I wish you all the best.
  18. I understand what he is trying to do and it needs someone who is talented with a paint program. I tried this before for a patient and it looked like they literally had paint on their head so I gave up. Even when I have seen other photos done quite well it still is hard to visualize what it will look like in real life. Maybe someone will step forward for you.
  19. Brave move by Mr Lee Roth obviously for him A Lil' (hair) Ain't Enough
  20. That's quite an impressive result from Nanogen you should get on their website! Harley Street is a real mixed bag of clinics and you should do your research before taking the next step. How many grafts are these clinics recommending? Have you seen any transplants in person to see what they look like in person on a advanced Norwood? It depends on what your donor density, laxity (if fut), hair caliber, the size of your head and where you start the hairline as to how much coverage can be gained without compromising too much on the density. These things can only be properly assessed in person. I would look at a few recommended clinics on here before you take the plunge.
  21. StephenH99- I had the temporary pigmentation and that is correct we stopped offering this to new patients some time ago. In my scalp and situation it worked well as a filler a bit like a more subtle version of Nanogen/Toppik would that you don't need to wash out every day. My own personal experience was it faded by 6 months maybe due to me washing my hair most days and sweating when playing sports. I did however have only one pass and no touch ups. It left my scalp sometime ago and I don't have any intentions at this stage of redoing it. It worked very well for the first 3-4 months though. In my scars the results were less effective and dropped out quite quickly and seemed to smudge. If you are considering this into your scars have a test patch and see how it looks after 1-2 months. It did help me achieve a shorter cut for sure and now it has dropped out I am having to wear my hair longer. Thanks Wevvo and Patriot I am going to be updating my case soon. Mikeey- I appreciate it is a lot of surgeries but what you have to understand that 3 of these procedures were carried out in 1996-8. I had somewhere between 1000-1500 mini and micro grafts back then over 3 sessions. I am confident that what I have achieved with 5 surgeries could have been done with two sessions with Dr Hasson if I was a virgin scalp and had a gone to see him from the off. If you are a Norwood 5 and 6 in your twenties or thirties and undergo a transplant without medication like I did back in the day you can absolutely expect further procedures to catch up with your loss. This applies to most patients regardless of their level of loss. Appropriate planning, hairline design and an expectancy of whilst full coverage might be possible over two sessions the crown is never going to be full or dense. Most 5's and 6's need to be content with a thinner look to their crown. This latest session has made a big improvement to the frontal area density and has given me a few more options when it comes to styling. I have received very positive feedback from friends, former colleagues and clients that I have seen me in the last year. Just over 10 years ago I left my job so I could work from home and hide away from having to meet new people all the time. I used to get those eyes moving up to my hairline with a puzzled look. I couldn't bear it anymore and lost all my self confidence. I now meet complete strangers face to face for consultations and they are all looking at my hair so there has been a huge turn around in how I feel and look.
  22. Before I went on fin I used to have a very greasy/shiny forehead and my scalp which was you could see clearly through my hair back then always looked the same. The constant since taking fin is that my scalp does not produce this oil anymore and my forehead is dry. I do not have dry skin anywhere else on my body just my forehead it is not flaking or anything like that but I need to apply moisturizer twice a day and have done for many years. My skin is good in general but that is more down to genetics and never having an outdoors job. I have been on fin now for over 8 years.
  23. This patient from Vancouver was bothered by the fact his hairline was weakening and he could no longer style his hair with products exposing the hairline in a spiked fashion. He referenced a English famous soccer player and asked Dr. Hasson if he could reproduce a similar hairline. Considering his good donor supply and minimal amount of loss. Dr. Hasson was able to accommodate and be a bit more aggressive in designing the hairline. He dense packed 1999 grafts in a relatively small area. The strip size 18 cm X 1.0 cm and the patient had hair on the course side. This result is still looking good over 6 years post-op.
