This patient in his early 30's at the time visited Dr. Hasson to do something about his thinning hair. Dr Hasson was able to transplant 4133 grafts in one session to address all of the areas that were concerning him.
Seven years later and he was passing the clinic and decided to pop in and show us how he was getting on. He is very happy with his results and I think you will agree that they have held up very well over the years.
This patient in his 30's traveled to see Dr Wong and his team from Argentina with the goal of restoring his frontal area and mid scalp. Dr Wong was able to extract 5169 grafts and establish an appropriate hairline to frame the patients face and give coverage not just through the mid scalp but over the entire balding area.
With careful planning and placement Dr Wong was able to exceed the patients goals by providing full coverage.
The patient sent us these photos which represent his progress at just over 6 months. He provided us with two different shots from the front. The first showing his hairline with the hair brushed up and the second brushed forward to demonstrate that he now has some options when it comes to wearing his hair.
We hope the patient will be supplying us with some more angles which we will post when we have them. He was taking Finasteride prior to the surgery. His graft breakdown is below.
1862 - single hair grafts
3230 - double hair grafts
257 - 3/4 hair grafts
Length of strip 30cm x 1.6 - 1.7 cm wide
This patient in his mid 30's came to see Dr. Wong in Italy for a consultation on one of his annual visits to Milan. Dr. Wong felt he was a good candidate and a significant cosmetic improvement could be achieved.
A total of 4119 grafts were used of which 1110 were singles, 2666 doubles and 343 3-4 hair grafts. The strip was 29 cm in length x 1.5 cm wide. The follow up visit was approx 15 months post-op depicted in the photos. He is taking Propecia.
This patient from Vancouver was bothered by the fact his hairline was weakening and he could no longer style his hair with products exposing the hairline in a spiked fashion. He referenced a English famous soccer player and asked Dr. Hasson if he could reproduce a similar hairline. Considering his good donor supply and minimal amount of loss.
Dr. Hasson was able to accommodate and be a bit more aggressive in designing the hairline. He dense packed 1999 grafts in a relatively small area.
The strip size 18 cm X 1.0 cm and the patient had hair on the course side. This result is still looking good over 6 years post-op.
This patient recently stopped by the clinic to have Dr. Hasson take a look at his progress. He is in his early to mid 30's from Vancouver and was thinning in the front half with very little hair left in the crown. Had been taking Propecia prior to surgery and was hoping to address both the front and crown in one session.
Dr. Hasson used 5303 grafts to rebuild the frontal zone with adequate density and give as much coverage to the other areas as possible. The graft breakdown is as follows: (1522- 1's), (3389 -2's), (362 - 3-4's).
This result is about 14 months post-op. It is not uncommon for the crown to lag behind the front as far as the final result is concerned but in this case it came a little later than usual. Even at slightly over a year post-op, Dr. Hasson feels some maturing of the hair in the crown will continue over the next few months. The patient expressed his gratitude and commented the surgery has had a very positive effect on him and he is very pleased with his result.
This patient from Seattle came to see Dr. Wong for his first procedure when he was in his mid 30's. 5864 grafts were placed front to back. The first surgery provided a remarkable transformation and the patient was very happy.
He decided 3 years later to have a 2nd procedure of 3146 to increase density throughout the entire area. This result is approximately 5 years post op from his 1st and 2 years post op from his 2nd.
Total graft count from both surgeries: 9010. He has taken Proscar since before the first surgery.
1st surgery breakdown: 5864 fu total, 1141 - 1's, 3487 - 2's, 1236 - 3-4's.
2nd surgery: 3146 fu, 809 - 1's, 1975 - 2's, 362 - 3-4's.
His hair texture/caliber is average.
Don't miss the video of this patient after the photos.
This patient in his late 20's traveled from Australia to have his procedure with Dr. Hasson. His goal was to get as much coverage as possible. He was willing to live with a conservative hairline with recession in order to get coverage in the crown. The more conservative hairline was not necessary as Dr. Hasson was able give him the best of both worlds with 5051 grafts.
Breakdown: 1184 single hair grafts, 3533 doubles, 334 3-4 hair grafts. High density strip 34cm x an average of 1.5cm.
Using Propecia at the time of surgery. This result is 2 years 6 months post-op.
