  1. Sorry to hear about your situation. My advice is to go easy as you have already used 3000 grafts which is very hard to believe in such a small area whilst I understand your desire to thicken up what you have and reduce the scar I would agree with Janna that the temple angle closures in the corners are not right and would have some grafts removed by fue first. Designing a more mature hairline will of course require less grafts from your precious donor. EJ does make a very good point about the scar revision after 3 surgeries it might be risky even for a very skilled surgeon to make that much of an improvement. In person consults are essential in your case. Good luck.
  2. Sorry to hear that you visited Norton in the 90's I also had surgery twice with Norton in 96 and 97. Do your research and consult a number of Doctors in person if possible in your situation. Dr Farjo and Dr Reddy are the recommended Doctors on this site and would be a good place to start. Personal choice but I always go for the branded medication rather than any generics online. I have been using Dr Ashcroft in the UK for many years now drop me a line if you want his contact details.
  3. Hairguy, Those little white/yellow hard balls are perfectly normal and I experienced quite a number of them of each time. They are a build up of skin and sebaceous oil quite strange when you see them I agree. It is normal to have a few pimples, you can squeeze them if you like or you can leave them alone if they are red. If they have a white head to them you should give them a squeeze. If you are concerned at any stage take some photos and email them to the clinic. All the best.
  4. ATG, You mentioned cost which is why I brought up the issue. I had my first transplant at 23 and I had similar feelings to you. No one was going to talk me out of having a transplant I had pinned all my hopes on it. I had a bad head for shaving and I liked the way I looked with hair. The first Doctor I saw was happy to do it so decision made I went through with it. You have had several surgeons turn you down, how I wish I was told not to do it, maybe I would have listened or maybe I would have just kept going until I found someone that was willing. Just take your time and consider the reality of multiple procedures and the financial burden that will involve. Ultimately whatever you decide to do meet some Doctors in person before going ahead and just as importantly meet some patients with advanced loss like you. At least then you can can get an idea of what to expect. I wish you all the best.
  5. ATG1- Sorry to hear your story and how hair loss has effected your confidence. Brenton has given you excellent advice and said pretty much what I would have said to you. Hair transplants are not for everyone and whilst I think beard hair can look decent as a filler amongst native hair or transplanted scalp hair I would not start something if you do not have the donor hair and more importantly the funds to see it through. You look to be in good shape physically and I think you have a perfectly good shaped head for shaving I would work on that and let that be your focus. You are young with an aggressive pattern of loss and it is unlikely that you will get enough scalp hair grafts to make a cosmetically good enough benefit to surgery. Whatever you decide please take your time and try to focus on the positives in your life rather than hair. Have you tried shaving it all down and see how you look?
  6. I saw you have taken down the photos which I saw yesterday when I was going to reply and got sidelined. The area looked ok it takes some time for the skin to settle down and that time again varies from patient to patient. Yes I used aloe vera on the recipient not sure it made a difference to not using it but I didn't have lots of lingering redness so worth a try it is not going to hurt if you are a couple of weeks post op.
  7. Justone, I am sorry to hear this. I have just sent you a pm. I would encourage you to contact the clinic with some clear photos so Dr Hasson can assess. If you are able to get to the clinic that of course would be better. Let me know if I can help.

  14. At 7 months attending a consultation for another FUT procedure might be too early in my opinion especially as you say that you are wanting to add density over a previously transplanted area. Not all your new grafts would have come through at this time so I would wait until the 9 month mark before attending in house consultations so the Doctor can give you better advice as to how many grafts you will need. As mentioned before unless you have naturally good laxity you will most likely need to loosen your scalp for a couple of months from the 9 month point but this can be discussed in your consultation. All the best.
  15. As Spanker says typically it will be between 9-12 months at the earliest. Your healing and laxity and size of the first session could make a difference as to whether you would need to spend some months loosening your scalp before another procedure. If you can visit your Doctor for an assessment.

  20. Depends where you are? If you are in the EU then you can ask your GP to write you a prescription for the topical and email it directly to the pharmacy they will send it out to you directly. If you are elsewhere then get in touch with our clinic directly.
  21. Just finasteride and soon to be dutasteride no minoxidil. We are working on some ideas for US patients currently.
  22. Apologies to you ll for the delay in getting back to you. No not currently although some testing is underway it is unlikely to be 100% conclusive as we are not tying to bring a new product to the market which would cost billions to do so. It is compounded patient by patient.
