Corey, I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with your results from your surgery it is always disappointing when patients don't get the desired result but all factors need to be taken into consideration before we all cast our opinion. I am not familiar with your case personally but I will be getting up to speed and reviewing your photos and will comment further when I have that information. In the meantime I ask you to contact me directly on david@hassonandwong.com so I can try to resolve your concerns.

Is it safe to take antibiotics with Finasteride?
Garageland replied to WAYNED1991's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
We have been prescribing antibiotics after surgery for a long time and advising patients that it is fine and safe to continue with finasteride without issue. Why not just ask your Doctor if you have concerns? Also I doubt that by not taking fin for a week will have a major effect on your hair, either way I don't think you will be doing any harm. -
I will be holding free consultations in London on Wednesday July 15th at the Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch. The consultations will be one on one with myself a hair transplant veteran who has had 5 transplants spanning over 19 years. I will be able to explain our procedure in detail, answer any questions you have regarding surgery, show you what a transplant can look like on a Norwood 6 and take clear photos for a recommendation from either Dr Hasson or Dr Wong. If you would like to meet with me in person or for more information please email me on david@hassonandwong.com or call 0757 8164162. David

Welcome back Balody! Where do you start if you have been off here for 2 years. I have been off the forums for 2 weeks and just catching up with what I have missed. Hope to see you posting again.

Sorry for missing this it has been a hectic week with Dr Wong's visit and then I was off to Istanbul for the FUE conference. It was good to meet with you and I hope you can have some success with Propecia and that you are a candidate for MFUE. All the best to you.

FUT is more popular than FUE
Garageland replied to Dr. Alan Feller's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Lol, it's ok I knew of the free offer when London made the appointment so we knew it wouldn't be anything long term with us. Just trying to help to offer some advice. -
Post Surgery Care
Garageland replied to thewalker10's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Some very good advice from SL as always. Personally and speaking from experience the day after surgery I would not overdo it and stray too far from the hotel. You will be tired if you have flown recently and from the effects of the surgery and might wish to get back to the hotel to have a sleep. I know I did. -
KO, Thanks for your interest. When I say manual I mean manual hand punch not motorized or the Artas. As I am in the UK I can't say for sure who did the extractions but I am leaving to meet Dr Wong in London soon as he is here for consultations this weekend. I will find out more about who did the extractions in this particular case and get back to you.

So here with have the first online Hasson & Wong FUE case to present to you. This patient from California in his late 20's came to see Dr Wong to restore his hairline. He wore his hair very short and had a desire to continue to do so. FUE suited him better for this reason. He had coarse Asian hair and a manual .85mm punch was used. 1202 grafts were used to thicken his hairline. The photos represent the immediate post op placement and extraction sites and I intend to update this thread with his progress. I will be documenting more FUE cases that we have been performing very soon.

Hasson and Wong's results getting ripped off online
Garageland replied to Spanker's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Spanker, Thanks for the heads up Spanker I noticed this outfit using 5 of our results a few weeks back and have just posted on their You Tube site a response. It is very flattering that it seems to be Hasson & Wong that have the most ripped off pictures on the internet. I guess there are easier to notice because of the famous blue background. I am going to be starting a new topic son as I have around half a dozen more clinics using our photos, some even changing the background colour and others making full size display posters to use at seminars! Blake, you are right it is too time consuming to keep on contacting them so I am just going to name and shame them on here if that is cool with you. Stay tuned! -
New member.. any help appreciated
Garageland replied to jrichards's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
26 and thinning into the crown I would look at other alternatives to a transplant at the moment. Have you or are you taking finasteride? It is effective and works especially well in the mid scalp and crown. You might find it will thicken up enough alone to not be worried about a transplant. Some pics would be better to advise more clearly but if you have miniaturized hair in the crown it might just work for you. -
To scab or not to scab, that is the question
Garageland replied to Krydda's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
You didn't damage anything it was the correct thing to remove them. More will come away when you wash your hair tomorrow. Relax. -

FUT of 2,000 grafts recommended
Garageland replied to Borromeo1517's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Borromeo1517, I can see why you are unhappy with your current hairline it lacks density and there appears to be some larger transplanted FU's into the immediate hairline. It needs refining with greater density. I would not rush into anything as you have already used up some valuable donor hair. Take your time to look at options. I would say around 1500- 2000 grafts would appear to look about right depending on how far the thinning extends into the scalp. How old are you and are you taking Propecia? -
Looks great, really happy for you.

Sun cream or spray for scalp
Garageland replied to Pma's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I would check with your Doctor to follow his instructions to the letter when it comes to exposing your scalp to the sun. As you said when out in bright sunshine I would be wearing a hat but for other times use a spf 50 spray and make sure you keep applying it. As your hair is nice and short it should be easy to apply. Have a good holiday. Saw your update and you look great btw. -
Thanks for your interest in our clinic and for the positive comments. Our results from strip have been documented on this forum now for well over a decade and a quick search will find many results posted both by patients and by the clinic. We are relatively new when it comes to FUE and certainly in terms of grown out results but this will of course change in the near future and as soon as I can bring some grown out results by FUE I will. We have been quiet about our involvement with FUE for this very reason but we are very optimistic about the results from manual, motorized and Artas that we have carried out at the clinic to this date. We did purchase the Artas at the end of last year but also offer both manual and motorized extraction techniques. Ultimately the best method for extraction will depend on each individual patient. I intend to bring more about the FUE that we are offering in the coming months.
