  1. $3,500 for 4 prp sessions? Are they injecting gold as well?? 😉 I hope you didn’t go to Pursad to get that ripoff quote...as I’ve read that’s around what his clinic charges... Just my honest opinion, prp is over-priced snake oil quackery that requires expensive upkeep with limited results if any at all, same goes to the heavily marketed Nutrafol “miracle” hair supplements, you could get some good quality supplements for cheaper and honestly I’ve seen some good rapid growth from Now brand MSM and Biotin daily supplement I take that costs around $5 a month compared to Nutrafol $90 ripoff price.
  2. Just saw your latest photos update and in my honest opinion I think there has been some clearly good and nice improvement and thickening of you hair from your previous 7th month update photos. Could you do better with slightly more density improvement, yes....and there’s a reasonable chance that may happen up til 12-15 months post op. Your donor looks okay but given your dark hair and the light skin contrast the scars do seem a little visible in the photos where your donor haircut is very short... if it was a little longer it would be and look fine. Are you happy with the progress thus far? edit: just took a look at your pre procedure photos on the 1st page of this thread and wow! For your NW level it’s a very nice change!
  3. It’s likely normal, a possible sign that miniaturizing hairs are being bumped out to make way for new hairs due to the better circulation from your microneedling, I had lots of shedding the first several weeks and session that got less and less with each session, then new growth.
  4. IMHO, just more b.s. touted and intended to hype a treatment to get investor cash so they could continue their “research” for many more years and cover their lab expenses and salaries. It seems anything at the cellular level that gets extracted from the human body has a very difficult time producing results, unlike larger already developed things like follicles/grafts and organs.
  5. I agree with the first part of your comment but not the last part. There are not enough patient posted results by patients of Dr Pekiner to make such a claim as “arguably the best doctor in Turkey”, I understand you are a patient of his and your progress is looking very good and from the little that is know about him and his work he seems to be an ethical hands-on surgeon...but common, let’s not over-exaggerate or over-praise.
  6. Hi I agree with @Melvin-Moderator, I would suggest not lowering your hairline and just use 800-1,000 grafts, nothing more, to add density and save the rest of your donor grafts for any future hair loss as it looks like your crown is thinning. Good Luck.
  7. Yes, this is totally normal, due to your scalp contracting and probably some graft hair scabs shed already but the graft is under the skin so nothing to worry about.
  8. Pretty embarrassing for Mr James, I agree with Rogan but as much as Joe professes he’s accepted his hair loss and bald look he still seems very interested of recent in the subject of hair/other guys’ hair.
  9. Just as short update on my microneedling routine, I’ve just added and started the home brew “Zix” topical mix to help inhibit scalp DHT, as some studies had said it inhibits 5-AR & DHT. It’s a mixture of Zinc Sulfate + Vitamin B6 (p5p) + distilled water. I apply a little on a clean scalp about 20 minutes prior to my 2mm firm microneedling session then apply a little more after, then I still wait 1-2 hours to apply Minox Foam. Zix is yellowish in color when mixed and it stains the scalp and hands a little bit washes out with soap and shampoo.
  10. Getting cold feet and contemplating backing out is normal. I don’t see how you would be able to have the hairstyle after you procedure if you mean right after....you probably could after 7 months post-op tho.
  11. Good luck! Looking forward to your progress updates, haven’t seen any patient posted threads from HDC patients.
  12. Your results look pretty good in the recent clinic photos, but yeah slight added density that you’ve had done now will hopefully give you the great result you’ve been hoping for! Good Luck and looking forward to updates
  13. It didn’t grown in all the same length as you believe....it’s obvious that the darker lighting makes his already naturally dark hair look uniform in the donor when in actuality it isn’t and you can see the slight redness left from the extractions.
  14. Thanks! The only other clinic in your price range budget I could think of would be ASMED as I believe I’ve read that they now offer a lower price per graft quote if the new doctor the clinic has hired at the new clinic does the incisions, and incisions done by Dr Erdogan is still 2.5euro per graft, so you may want to contact them and ask. As for my honest opinion of Dr Demirsoy is that he does good work, from the results I’ve seen from patients themselves I have yet to find a bad result. As for his ethics, he only takes one patient a day and does a majority of the procedure himself so make of that what you wish. Good Luck!
  15. I would suggest that you get your brother to try a microneedling & minox routine with a roller/stamp/pen for at least 6-months to see if it could benefit him first before any HT since he is young.
  16. Hi Given your age and what looks like a good donor area I think you’re a good candidate for an HT, and I agree with BjornBorg, you don’t need medication for an HT to be successful it’s mainly recommend to prevent shock loss pre and post op as well as to keep any existing native hairs from miniaturization so stick to getting a good dense conservative frontal HT the first go and if you have more donor reserves than a 2nd go down the line if needed. Good Luck!
  17. Hi Looking at your photos, the area you are concerned about does seem not as dense as the surrounding area but if the surgeon you chose does a good job with extractions spread out throughout the lower area and sides then you should be fine. Ask the Doctor to use a digital hair microscope to check the area during consultation. Good Luck!
  18. Hi For your price budget range, Demirsoy seems like a good choice. Maybe post some photos to get more opinions.
  19. He’s 34?.... I gotta be honest, I had thought he was in his early 40’s, not so much due to the hair but his facial appearance, just looks older to me haha....nevertheless, I agree, thanks to him being open and public about his hair & HT has been a positive thing. And btw, Happy 34th Melvin!
  20. You have a similar hairloss pattern to what I had when I was 31, and sadly lost much more over the following 4-5 years, you may be on the same trajectory. IMO, I would wait it out a few years to see how your hair loss progresses and in the mean time hit the Minoxidil and fin if you can tolerate it, and get a derma stamp or pen for microneedling....and if after a little more time you’ve lost more you could go be all good for an HT. I recently saw this guys microneedling & Minoxidil progress...pretty impressive.
  21. Best of luck! Looking forward to seeing you post your progress!
  22. Hmm I’m not too familiar with them, I hope you’ve done plenty of research and seen many patient posted results of theirs. The main thing to be careful is damaging the grafts during sleep, buy a proper comfortable neck pillow and I would suggest you choose window seats on your flights so that no one bumps into or drops anything on your head in the plane. Good Luck!
