  1. Hiya @Edsarn2017, I’m still keeping consistent with my microneedling sessions (3-4 per week), my hair does continue to get better with the progress...that said, I have shaken up what I apply topically after each microneedling session. About a month now I decided to stop all Minoxidil use as I hated the scalp flakes & dandruff I was getting from it and replace it with the “Zix”, but after a few weeks of using that I decided to put that on pause as the liquids color stains a bit with a yellowish color, but to Zix’s benefit it really helped keep any hair shed to a minimum. My progress gains in my crown and hair density all over have held up well though still but I did experience a slight hair shed a week or two ago, im not sure if it’s from having stopped using Minoxidil or just a seasonal shed, so I’m currently using and testing peppermint oil (which is good for blood circulation in the scalp like Minox) mixed in with coconut & castor oil and applying that after each microneedling session and only shed about 10-15 with each shampoo which is not bad. Currently my hair is short after a buzz haircut recently (about 1.75-inches long) so I plan to take updated progress photos soon but I’m still very pleased with my crown progress, I plan to stick with this latest routine for 1-2 months but if I feel it’s not helping and if I see any loss of hair gains after two months then I’m going to go back to using Minoxidil, hopefully I won’t have to. At your 3.5 months post HT I think it’s reasonably safe in giving microneedling a go if you like....no more than once a week with a 0.5mm roller/stamp/pen done with gentle pressure is what I would recommend to start with...but if you’re set on waiting a little longer than that’s fine too. 👍🏻
  2. Nice progress. I was a little skeptical looking at your post op photos and 1 month but it looks like your donor has recovered really well and you’re even getting some early growth in the transplanted areas. 👍🏻
  3. I’ve seen this video, interesting stuff and it’s funny I was reseating castor oil recently myself and how it is beneficial to increase the “Good” hair Prostaglandin PGE2 and I will be starting and testing using organic castor oil mixed with peppermint oil to use in combination with my microneedling routine as I’ve stopped using all Minoxidil for a little over a month now. I will be applying it directly after my microneedling sessions.
  4. The only place I like olive oil on is on my garlic bread and tomatoes & fresh Mozzarella plate! 😂😉👍🏻
  5. Thanks for the info. Im might try castor but I’m not fond of olive oil so may mix it with coconut oil instead.
  6. Good to know! How do you use the castor oil and how often?
  7. Wow! Very nice improvement, even with the slight dip in gains 2-years later! So did you continue your dermaroller + castor oil routine after having stopped it at 6-months as you mentioned?...or are the 2-year gains just the results of the initial 6-months dermaroll+castor? How did you use the castor oil, Topically or orally? If topically, before or after dermarolling?
  8. Looks good and natural to me, might be the new hairs need time to mature fully to mimic your native hairs but I don’t see a density issue tbh.
  9. Maybe wet your hair and comb it back and take some photos, because I cannot see where you would need more new hair growth as it looks pretty dense already.
  10. Yeah. And I hope they don’t decide to shoot themselves in the foot when they go to market with their clinic partners and get greedy by charging too much and out-pricing potential customers.
  11. Follica’s parent company have released updates on their product pipeline and on page 40 & 41 is where Follica shows an actual before & 85-days after photo for their new hair growth method. My take...it looks like some distinct progress/growth/improvement for almost 3-months....but...the after photo the patients head angle is off a bit and his hair is longer and swept over. Follica should have taken photos of the exact hair length and conditions as well as a 1” square of the area zoomed in to show actual number of new hairs grown instead, hope they do in the future. And in IMHO, their progress seems on par with microneedling like I’m doing, but at least this is validation that it works and hopefully they release what their results are of longer-term use. https://www.puretechhealth.com/images/PureTech-Corporate-Presentation_FINAL-111919-Web.pdf
  12. Looks as if you’re a slow grower so you’ll need to definitely give it more time but it’s good that you’re seeing progress monthly. Since you say you’re not using Minoxidil anymore I would recommend using some peppermint oil in a carrier oil like coconut to give your scalp some better blood circulation to see if it helps regrow your native hair and speed up progress of transplanted hair.
  13. You’re welcome! Exactly! That’s one of my favorite famous quotes. 👍🏻
  14. I do see some more slight improvement, yeah, looks like the hairs are maturing and thickening up, I saw a bit more maturing and thickening even up to month 15 so 🤞🏻! 🙂 I agree, could use a bit more density in your frontal 3rd...but looking at your pre op photos the fact that you had a forehead or five head (😉) area was so large I think it’s quite the improvement. 👍🏻
  15. Nice, looks like it’s working very well to camouflage the crown!
  16. Wow! Hair looks great man! Congrats! 👌🏻👍🏻
  17. Then you should wait at least 12-24hours after microneedling before you apply it if you have systemic absorption concerns.
  18. I have not yet tried applying Finasteride topically but am planning to do so soon, I have the pills and purchased some propylene glycol and ethyl alcohol to use as carriers, it’s close to the same ingredient as in Minoxidil solution just without the Minoxidil drug, I will be testing to see how much progress I get with this mix & microneedling without Minoxidil.
  19. None official that I know of, only ones that people have their local compounding pharmacy create one or they make a mix themselves with crushed Proscar/propecia pills.
  20. You could give 1mm or 1.5mm a try, which you feel suits you without too much pain.
  21. Yes, you are a bit young for a procedure while your hair seems to be thinning rapidly, in my opinion from looking at your photos. My recommendation, get a good derma roller/ or derma stamp/ or derma pen and start a microneedling routine that could help you get some results from the medication you are already taking, and be consistent with it and give the routine at least 6months and leave a HT procedure for the future if needed. Go check out my microneedling progress thread for more information. Good luck.
  22. The “after” photo looks slightly off as the patients head is not tilted as far back as in the “before” photo, so if the patient returns for a follow up it would be great to see a more matched up comparison. That said, results look great, and natural with the hair in proper direction.
