  1. Hi Just saw this thread from your update....and from looking at your photos your donor looks to be decent considering the amount of grafts already taken out, progress looks good!
  2. I get what you’re saying....but why not??, reason I say possibly Konior is because I didn’t watch much of the ER show he was on but I do know that the shows hospital is based on Chicago...and I’m sure they filmed on-locations many times, and Konior being in Chicago, probably offering discretion to Clooney given he does most all the work himself...I could see it. Could he have gone to H&W, or AArmani in Beverly Hills, sure but his hairline changed after he was done with ER...then went into movies.
  3. I agree with you, I think the pre-op shaven and post-op photos do show grafts planted in your areas of concern...that likely haven’t taken and grown...that said, if unshaven in recipient is the only way you would go forward with a touch-up with dr gable then I can see that he would want to charge for the extra effort since it would be with unshaven....but IMO I think 200-300 grafts to touch up the area would make it a home-run result. I think it would speak volumes of Dr Gable’s character if he offered to do it without-charge to make you a satisfied happy patient given the money you spent....and that could end up benefiting his clinic with referrals from you to friends and family...
  4. Yes, my scalp heals very well even 24 hours after a 1mm microneedling session which is every 3rd day. There are some people doing 0.5-1mm microneedling/derma rolling daily with very good results. Yes, I already take a collagen peptide protein supplement, have done so for 2-years now, instead of whey protein for post-workout recovery. Yes, I agree, microneedling really gives you better results in combination with Minoxidil, I use Minoxidil foam once daily.
  5. Given your time-frame now, I do get your concern, I would hope that Dr Gabel offered you a touch-up in the area of concern without being contingent on you spending additional money to add more grafts elsewhere. When styled it does look good, but don’t let it sress you out, I would feel comfortable going back to Gable and letting him do a touch-up to make me satisfied...without a contingency that I spend more money that is, as that wouldn’t be good customer/patient service imho.....unless you plan to get more HT work elsewhere on your scalp anyway.
  6. Work looks good. Don’t expect anything until months 3 and forward, other than shedding of the hair grafts stage. Good luck!
  7. Thanks @Melvin-Moderator...tho as you and many already know...so just for the Internet record, mine is the thanks to the combo of HT + Microneedling haha 😉
  8. Nice! Haha I just saw this on my YouTube list and also posted it on my thread...you’re timing tho 👍🏻
  9. Saw this on my YouTube recommended list...gotta say it’s pretty clever! Haha
  10. I think he did a hair transplant...I’m willing to bet he went to Konior or Couto.
  11. Wow! Hair looks fantastic!...even the bit that you used sun-in on. Congrats!
  12. IMHO...I think your donor looks pretty good and viable for an HT. You should post clear photos of the areas you would like to have ht work done on, though.
  13. I’ve only used the 12-needle cartridges as that’s what many have done also, it’s better to use as it doesn’t cut or snag any native or transplanted hairs. What’s great about the Pen is that you it has 4 variable speed levels so you can set it according to your pain tolerance....the pain initially is temporary and lessens after a few sessions as your scalp gets accustom to the routine and better blood flow circulation for healing...but if after a few sessions you still don’t like the pain you could purchase an over the counter lidocaine numbing cream to use and apply a little on your scalp before a session. Good luck!
  14. My only advice would be to clearly and distinctly let your surgeon know exactly how to prioritize your grafts in which zones of your scalp at your pre-op evaluation. You are the patient and customer, don’t be afraid of speaking up if you don’t agree with something, especially before you go “under-the-knife”. Have some photos of yourself with hair that you liked or photos of styles similar to what you would like done to show as examples. Best of luck!
  15. Hi, thanks for the kind words! I would agree with your doc...waiting until you are at least 3-4 months post your HT to begin a microneedling routine seems reasonable and okay. Like I mentioned to Addy in my above reply there is no need to rush microneedling when you’ve had an HT, let the growth progress happen and then after some time you can begin microneedling, safely of course. Good Luck!
  16. Thanks! As for your question...I’m not sure if it’s beneficial or not to start microneedling an area on your scalp that wasn’t used for an HT at your early ht stage, and I don’t know if doing so would divert blood flow from your ht recipient area...even if it’s just 1 day of microneedling out of a week (it probably couldn’t hurt the grafts at your post op stage)...but I personally would wait at the very least until you are 3-4 months post-op your HT to microneedle at all...because it’s important to let the new hair growth begin uninterrupted and not traumatized in any way....there’s no need to rush starting a microneedling routine so just give your HT grafts time to sprout and grow and then you can start microneedling. Good luck!
  17. Just added an update to my HT thread and thought I’d add one here as well. As I stated in my other thread, I recently returned to Istanbul to get some dental work done and paid a visit to the new ASMED clinic and met with Dr Erdogan and staff, I allowed them to take their pro clinic photos of my results, so as I did I’m my other thread I’ll post their photo of my crown and midscalp...which has progressed significantly possibly due to time maturation of my growing and maturing HT hairs and the combination of having started microneedling/Minoxidil/Nizoral 3-months prior. I’m very happy with how it’s all turned out. Edit: I’ve added my pre-HT clinic photo for comparison (just 1,500 grafts were placed in my crown)
  18. The only thing I’m annoyed by is my really greying/white hair around the back and sides but it is what it is, I plan to start using a derma roller all around the area to see if it helps with circulation to and see if it brings back any of my natural hair color 😂
  19. So, last month (September) was my 15th month post-op my Dr Erdogan/ASMED ht procedure, I few weeks prior I was contacted by my coordinator to send some updated photos, I declined...because...I had planned a trip back to Istanbul in early September for some Dental work and said I’d be happy to have the clinics photography dept take the photos themselves, she was glad to hear that. I visited the new clinic and it’s truly impressive, I was greeted by my coordinator and with her met with Miss Dilek and Dr Erdogan and some staff as they wanted to have a look at my progress in person. Everyone was very nice and it was great to see and have a chat with them. So these some of the photos they took of my progress/results:
