  1. I doubt these shampoos do anything to help. The only shampoo that I would try that has studies backing it to help hair loss is ketoconazole containing shampoos at a concentration of 1-2%. Do not use more than 2-3 times a week as they are very drying.
  2. Dut is one tricky drug for me to understand. Some claim it works better than fin, others claim that’s nonsense. I’ve read that finasteride inhibits (going from memory) 95%+ of type 2 5 alpha reductase and virtually zero of type 1. Hence the 70% dht reduction you mention. Dut at .5 mg per day inhibits virtually all type 2 and about 50% of type 1 which ends up lowering about 92% of dht due to tacking the type 1 5ar this is where we get into the unknowns: -I’ve read type 1 5 alpha reductase is the primary enzyme found in the brain and we do not know the consequences of lowering this -the dermal papilla- basically the root of the hair- only contains/creates type 2 5 alpha reductase so some argue dut does very little extra when compared to fin -SOME studies show dht blood levels mean nothing when treating hair loss as follicle levels of dht are what matters and those are near impossible to measure -another study found dut actually raised scalp skin testosterone levels by over 100% of baseline. Dht is bad for hair but a lesser evil is still testosterone. (There are many anecdotal reports online of people losing ground on their hairlines. The argument is the higher levels of testosterone affect the hairlines of these people because the hairline area is most susceptible to all make androgens). - I remember one doctor that used to manufacture/sell all kinds of legit concoctions of minoxidil (dr Richard Lee) mentioned that some patients that took dut had lowered sperm counts that did not reach normal levels once off the drug for several months so that’s something else to consider on the other hand I’ve seen anecdotal reports of a few users have great results from dut. A few even got better results than fin. i tried it myself twice in the past for about 6-9 months each time. First time was .5mg a day taken daily with finasteride. I was about 27 years old. Second was .5mg a day alternated with finasteride. I was around 30-31. I don’t think I saw much difference between the two drugs but I did not document with pictures. what I do know though is that the second time around I got bad acne at the beginning that went away. However with time I noticed changes in my libido. I finally checked my hormone levels and was quite surprised. My total testosterone was at normal levels but my estrogen was above the normal range. My free/usable testosterone was at the lower range and I didn’t feel this was good to have in my early 30s. My shbg was also on the lower side if I recall correctly. My dht levels were obliterated when compared to fin however. After that I returned to finasteride. If I ever decide to try it again it would be once or twice a week MAX. As I feel the drug is not compatible with me. Keep in mind this is only my own experience. id monitor closely and get blood tests if you feel something is off good luck
  3. I beg to differ on this. Redness does not take 10-12 days to disappear. For most it takes several months.
  4. Looks great. You mentioned you packed in the hairs tightly. What density did you implant at?
  5. Guys let’s not hijack Craig’s thread with finasteride talk. There’s a section here for that. Poor guy is just sharing his results and getting rekt with all these fin posts.
  6. Which higher dose of finasteride does dr pekiner recommend when 1mg is not effective any longer?
  7. Interesting information. All the finasteride dosage studies I’ve seen show it has a flat dose-response curve ie 1mg works as well as 5mg. What higher dosage does dr pekiner suggest?
  8. Lol Dr. K seems to have gone towards the cinik route offering unlimited grafts under a 3-4 hour extraction window at a flat rate. He charges more if he does some/all of the incisions. I remember him vaguely preaching about doctors to do all the work in the past and how it was so important. and wtf do they mean by some grafts have zero hairs? They just punch out skin?
  9. Looks like seborrheic dermatitis to me but I would verify with a dermatologist. Are you being very gentle with shampooing after surgery? if it is seborrheic dermatitis you will need to use something like nizoral shampoo a few times a week.
  10. How long did u have to take off work for the rhinoplasty? r u going back to asmed for your touch up?
  11. My brother got mrsa after travelling to China. He let his go pretty long and the sores started to have a huge hole in the middle and became painful to walk as it was on his calf. It seems like yours is still early on. Try not googling a lot and just take your meds but keep an eye on it. Trust the process but be very in tune with your body. Good luck
  12. That’s fine and dandy but without an in person consult it’s still difficult. You are indian and I’m guessing have many multi hair grafts which require larger punch sizes to limit extractions. secondly, what are the clinics referring to when they give you punch size? Outer or inner diameter? Standard or trumpet? The list goes on and on. It’s pretty useless to discuss imo.
  13. I don’t think anyone can answer this. Punch size is usually chosen based on a patients hair thickness and hair graft groupings. There isn’t a standard punch size that a doctor uses unless he is a full tard/hack
  14. From the limited amount of cases I’ve seen they do some great work. All procedure is performed by various doctors. Manual punch. Limited to less than 2k grafts per day. They perform repair work with bht. Good donor management skills. They also take part in training seminars where the teach and perform. their hairlines don’t look as aggressive as other Turkish clinics but they would def be on my top 3 for Turkey. And yes they are up there in price when compared to other Turkish clinics.
  15. Like everyone else said this makes absolutely no sense. Most clinics recommend younger patients be on fin to limit shock loss. If this is really what they want u to do then RUN away from this clinic cuz they dunno wtf they r talking about.
  16. Says who? He trained at HLC and claims he trained under Keser too. Both doctor/clinic are rockstars in Turkey.
