  1. Man that’s such a good price .. I had to spend $20,000 U.S. for just hairline work . But I’m definitely going overseas for future procedures ..
  2. Melvin our moderator had the same hairloss as ur bf. But even worse ... he should chime in here.. 2400 grafts don’t go very far .. that’s the amount of grafts needed for the hairline to look good .. u require less grafts In the mid n back . Possibly 4000 more.. believe me okay ,. I just had my surgery .. n I did 2500 grafts to the hairline .. n it is not a lot of area covered .. I was hoping it would cover more area myself .. my 2500 grafts covered less area .. the dr is planning a second transplant .. n the hairline needs to be built strong.. ur bf has good donor hair .. from the shaved pics I thought he might be in trouble .. but the new pics ,, his donor is good .. if he can afford it .. he shouldn’t be bald after 2-3 procedures .. u a good gf for looking out for him .. the hairline is a bit aggressive for someone that’s balding that much however ..
  3. I wouldn’t worry about ur boyfriend having a pluggy hairline look with dr diep.. it’s his specialty .. if he has good donor , N those hairs grow .. his hairline should look great .. then he’s going to want to fill in the mid n crown next .. that’s usually the way it goes .. but yeah u doing the right thing by going to a top tier hairline doctor .. n the transplant looks good .. do u have pre-op pics of what he looked like before surgery .. n did the doctor tell him how many grafts he has left ? Right now just follow post up instructions n let the process take its course .. it’s also helpful if u post updates as the months come along .. there be many people interested in this post n will be helpful ..
  4. The work looks good . It’s densely packed .. did he get around 2300 grafts ? .. what his donor look like ? Got pics ? but yeah .. don’t worry too much ,, it looks desnely packed in the front ..
  5. One of the best n meaningful post I’ve read , Motoro.. good to see past folks come back and spread some wisdom .
  6. Bro u trying to tell me lukey b had great results because he massage his scalp n uses coconut oil. It’s not making sense to me , sorry . U keep doing them massages bro .. Cuz I am ,, but it’s not going to help much . If u believe in it however , spend some money n get the scalp massager for $299.. it’s currently half off because it’s in beta testing mode .. or why don’t u spend the $799-$3000 for the laser cap , because it’s suppose to improve blood circulation to ur scalp .. n. Neither of those things are proven to be very effective .. n they cost a lot of money .. so don’t try to convince me of doing scalp massages n coconut oil is effective of helping ur hair issues .. did ur doctor tell u to do this post-op ? Is this why u so sure ? Or u just trying to convince urself about something .. either way .. I don’t care ..
  7. If it was more than 1% effective.. why wouldn’t ur doctor or any of our doctors include It in the postcare instructions to help them precious grafts .. use ur common sense .. n don’t try to convince me on ur snake oil. Thanks .
  8. I do scalp massages for 5 mins a day myself.. n also looking to try dermarolling .. no one said blood circulation is bad . Or doing anything or something to help ur hair is bad .. but realistically .. if u doing a scalp massage for 15 minutes day . U just helping ur precious grafts 15 minutes in a day .. that’s less than 1 percent of being effective .. it didn’t help lukey or anyone to get a better transplant with coconut oil n massages .. . But it’s probably good for preventive measures for future hair loss ..
  9. Blood circulation is important .. but its .. already naturally done by ur body ..
  10. Lukey b’s results had nothing to do with coconut oil n head massaging .. dude had great donor hair n native hair ..his native hair in his midscalp n crown is dense and thick n donor .. he’s an ideal patient .. ( a receder but not a diffuser type of hairloss .. those gives the best the results .
  11. Who snitched on him ? Bman is literally coming on this forum for advice n help .. if some members have arguments n stuff .. just stop talking to each other but what’s up with the tattletelling .. I’m interested in this update n prefer for him n other members to continue posting their progression results , whether good or bad ... ( but it’s true the bad ones are the most fun threads to foLlow .. n it’s also sometimes the patients last resort to venting and expressing their results . Nothing wrong with that .. I don’t even look at doctor posted pics anymore .. it’s almost meaningless .. the most meaningful threads are posted by patients .,
  12. Ur growing phase just started .. u still have a few more months of growing ..but judging from ur pre-op n graft count for the large area u trying to cover .. why only 1700 grafts ? U need at least 2500-3000 for good density .. did u or the doctor decide on this number ? Best wishes ..
  13. U headed for a good result .. ur pre-op pics are kinda like mines .. it’s good that once u got the scabs off n most the hairs are still there .. it’s a very good sign that those grafts are anchored, implanted properly, deep enough to hang around but not too deep to cause an ingrown hair .. that’s my understanding of it also a good sign that ur native hair grows fast .. so the transplanted hair will too ..
  14. U should also include some pics of ur hair after the one year mark after surgery so we can see how successful it was .. if it wasn’t that dense , it’s only natural that with further hairloss after 4 years things will look thinner .. but let’s see the pics of ur temples after the ht .. since it was bald before .. that would give a better visualization of the transplanted hair thinning out or not
  15. Go see ur dermatologist if u have health insurance .. .. If u can’t afford it .. u should look overseas for ur 2nd transplant , if ur original doctor don’t want to give u a discount .. I think u need u need ur whole frontal third done .. n get it nice n thick . N pray to god u can retain enough of ur crown
  16. This is everyone’s worse fear .. not sure Why this would happen .. especially since u did FUT .. so the sweet spot was taken .. should be dht resistant .. ur transplanted hair definitely thinned our .. the hair behind it Actually held up pretty well .. the meds must of worked for that area .. cuz in ur pre-op the midsection n crown was thinning .. but it’s holding up .. so that’s good news .. u should check the health of ur scalp n donor hair before proceeding further .. go see a doc .
  17. Best thing to do is add more density with another transplant .. or pluck the hairs so it doesn’t look like u just shaved it ..
  18. Yeah they have a very strict policy when booking the appointment .. no le way when things go wrong .. if u used ur debit or credit card , u can get back ur $1000 through them .. tell them services were not provided.. I got my $1000 back from my bank , when their clinic didn’t want to refund me or give me a shorter reappointment ..
  19. I vouch for Doctor Bolton . U be blessed to have Jesus performing surgery on ur scalp .. Seems legit to me . N fun times what can go wrong .
  20. Im already on the waiting list .. a mini vacation and a hairtransplant while I’m at it for $3500 .. it’s a no brainer..
  21. op won’t care .. he be knocked out on meds.. it’s the doc I feel bad for .. but seriously .. I think u should embrace being bald n make it work for u .. it’s better than having a failed transplant .
  22. So what’s the update now ? Have u been censored by big brother , bman ?
  23. A good hairtransplant looks good without needing the same density as native hair .. Because the transplanted hair is thicker in diameter and darker in color . Hairs that were not damaged by dht r stronger n denser looking , therefore u don’t need as many hairs in an area to achieve the same illusion of density ..
