  1. Your crown area looks great. Get on Fin and save what you have. If you respond well to Fin and are willing to continue taking it for life then in my opinion you are a candidate. Be very conservative and keep a higher hair line if you decide to go through with surgery but keep in mind it will be a life long commitment and you will need at least 1 more surgery down the road.
  2. I would look into FUE because it looks like you keep your hair short. For your case, it would be much easier to hide the scars in my opinion.
  3. Man! Comparing these to your pre op pics makes you look like a different person. Your result is looking good!
  4. I’ve never heard of stopping fin before a transplant but I am not a doctor. However, I haven’t heard this recommended before by any other doctors.
  5. What a shitty situation this doctor put you into. I really feel for you and hope you can get things worked out. I agree that going to a top doctor like Dr. Cooley is your best bet and tell him your wishes and concerns and let him advise you on what to do. Keep your head up. You are not the first person who jumped into a bad decision. I think that with the technology/techniques that top doctors are able to perform, you will look fine down the road because you still have good hair behind your transplanted area. Good luck!
  6. There are 3 different doctors doing transplants at the Shapiro clinic and I am going to guess that all results from there are not alike. I would research the particular doctor that would be performing the surgery and not just the clinic. Dr. Konior also has Dr. Nadimi working at his clinic but it sounds like your price quote is with Dr. Konior.
  7. It doesn’t get any more natural looking than that. You are looking great at 40! Congratulations
  8. It’s hard to judge without pictures but if you are serious about getting it done, I would go talk to Dr. Konior and have him assess you. He will tell you his professional opinion which I would trust. Also, my FUT did not take that long to recover. I was back at work without a hat a couple months after the surgery without any questions from anyone. You just have to leave your hair a little longer in the back to cover...maybe 1.5” or so to be safe.
  9. I think you look great as is with the short hair. I would just jump on Fin and try to keep what you have. I would not get a transplant.
  10. I agree 100% with what Home said. That would be your best strategy. If you go to a good surgeon, you may even end up with a better scar than what you have now. I would definitely get on Fin. Based on my own experience as well as from pics I’ve seen, I would recommend Konior, Gabel, Cooley, Alexander just to name a few.
  11. I think you look fine in your pics. I have never seen anyone up close who had SMP but yours looks good in your pics. I wouldn’t get any type of transplant if you want to shave the donor area. The scaring will be noticeable and will most likely bother you. If you are willing to keep your hair a little longer (2-3 guard) then I think you would be happy with FUE. See what Dr. Cooley has to say. He is top notch and will shoot you straight.
  12. Stay on Fin...there have been many guys in your shoes that haven’t lost much ground in several years.
  13. Without pics it’s hard to give any answers. Dr. Cooley is a great doctor and if you want a military style haircut, I would recommend FUE.
  14. Your hair wasn’t all that bad before your procedure but I feel like you already have a nice result and the recession in the corners you had prior to your procedure is now gone. It’s a very natural looking hairline. Your result will continue to thicken some over the next 2-3 months which will help even more.
  15. This guy’s hair was a 8/10 before the transplant. Now it’s a 10/10.
  16. It looks like things are starting to happen now. I can tell that things are thickening up. You will see a big improvement over the next several weeks.
  17. Based on your pictures I think you look good. If I was going to do anything, I would maybe add a little density or reshape the hairline if you wish to with FUE but I don’t see the need to remove a bunch of grafts from the hairline. Maybe I am missing something that I can’t see in the pics.
  18. Coming in nicely....this is going to be a good result and really change your look and take years off your age. Congratulations
